Period specifications list four engine options: three petrol variants and a 1.5 dCi diesel. The exact equipment depended on market and vehicle configuration, so confirm the engine code and approved seat count on the car’s documents before using these figures for parts, repairs or buying decisions.
What is the 2006 Dacia Logan MCV?
The Logan MCV was Dacia’s estate-style Logan derivative, designed to offer a large load area and the option of a third row. Dacia’s official history says it was presented at the Geneva motor show in March 2006 and offered in five- and seven-seat configurations: Dacia’s model history.
Its arrival date varied by market. A September 2006 Renault/Dacia Austria press release said Romanian sales would begin in October 2006, with launches in major European Dacia markets from early 2007: Renault/Dacia Austria press service. A car described as a 2006 MCV should therefore be identified by its market, registration and vehicle documentation rather than assumed to match every period specification.
How many seats does it have, and how much luggage space is available?
The MCV was sold as either a five-seater or a seven-seater. In the period technical table, the 1.4 petrol is listed only with five seats; the 1.6 petrol, 1.6 16V petrol and 1.5 dCi diesel appear in five- and seven-seat forms. Check the individual car’s registration and seating equipment to establish its approved configuration.

- VEHICLE-SPECIFIC PRODUCTION FLY Roof Cross Bars are produced in custom dimensions based on vehicle make, model, and year for vehicles with a gap between the roof rails and the roof (raised rail).Due to the close-to-vehicle positioning design of the aluminum bars, the product is not compatible with vehicles equipped with a sunroof (sliding glass roof). This is not a universal product; please refer to the product title for compatibility details.
- COMPATIBLE MOUNTING STRUCTURE The mounting structure is designed to adapt to the position and angle of the roof rails. This helps distribute the load evenly at mounting points, supports driving stability, and reduces road-induced vibrations.
- LOAD CAPACITY The aluminum bars can carry up to 75 kg while driving. When parked: 150 kg with 2 bars, 225 kg with 3 bars, and 300 kg with 4 bars provide suitable load support.
- WIDE ACCESSORY COMPATIBILITY Can be used with accessory systems compatible with T-Bolt or U-Type mounting bolts with a minimum width of 75 mm.
- EASY INSTALLATION Installation can be completed within 15–25 minutes without professional assistance using vehicle-specific mounting kits. Made in Türkiye. 8689506878119
Total Auto’s 5 October 2006 technical table, which attributes its figures to manufacturer data, gives these luggage capacities:
| Configuration | Period luggage capacity |
|---|---|
| Five seats | 700 litres |
| Seven seats | 198 litres |
The smaller figure applies with the third row in use. These are period specifications for the first-generation MCV, not figures for later Logan MCV models.

What are its dimensions and period fuel-consumption figures?
The same 2006 technical table reports a length of 4,450 mm, a wheelbase of 2,905 mm and a width of 1,740 mm excluding mirrors (1,993 mm including mirrors). It lists mixed fuel consumption under CEE standard 99/100 as follows. These are historical standardized figures, not a forecast of fuel use in a present-day car.
| Variant | Mixed consumption |
|---|---|
| 1.4 MPI petrol | 7.6 L/100 km |
| 1.6 MPI petrol | 7.8 L/100 km |

What accessories were offered, and will they fit?
Dacia’s 2006/2007 accessory catalog documents longitudinal roof rails and transverse bars for the Logan MCV, along with roof boxes or cargo frames, bicycle and ski carriers, a model-specific luggage-compartment insert, rubber mats and cargo nets. The catalog shows period accessory categories; it does not establish that those items remain available or that a current product listing fits a particular car.
- Match the product to the first-generation MCV, not simply to a listing that says “Logan.”
- Check the car’s actual roof rails, attachment points, body and seating configuration against the product’s fitment details.
- For a boot insert, mat or cargo accessory, confirm dimensions and fitment for the exact body generation.
The historical catalog is an Automobile Dacia Logan and Logan MCV accessory catalog (2006/2007); check a seller’s current fitment information before buying.

How do you distinguish it from a later Logan MCV?
Later Logan MCV generations have different specifications. Dacia Romania’s current model page describes a later five-seat MCV with a 573–1,518 dm³ luggage-volume range; those figures do not describe the 2006 five- and seven-seat car. Compare model generation and vehicle identity before applying a specification or ordering a part: Dacia Romania’s later Logan MCV page.
Dacia’s current Romanian owner-manual landing page links to Logan documentation but does not establish that the linked manual covers the first-generation 2006 MCV. Identify the market, engine and generation before relying on a manual or maintenance interval: Dacia Romania owner manuals.
What should you check when buying one?
The available period specifications establish the MCV’s configurations and engine range, not a universal reliability verdict or a diagnosis of any individual car. For a specific used vehicle, review its service records and have its condition and local roadworthiness assessed by a qualified mechanic.
Quick Recap
- Confirm the registration details, engine code and approved seat count.
- Review service records and check the body and underbody condition.
- Ask a qualified mechanic to inspect the engine-specific systems and safety equipment, and assess current roadworthiness.
- Match any manual, maintenance information or replacement part to the car’s market and generation.
