Motorcycles with cruise control range from touring bikes to sport and adventure models, but the feature is not guaranteed on every year, trim or market version. Here are 15 useful models to shortlist, with the key equipment caveats. Conventional cruise control holds the speed you set; adaptive cruise control (ACC) can also adjust speed to maintain a following distance. Confirm the specification for the exact motorcycle you are considering.
15 motorcycles to shortlist
This is a practical list, not a global census. The examples below come from a specialist model roundup; manufacturer pages confirm selected newer examples, but not every specification in every market. “Standard” or “available” can change with model year, trim and country.

|---|---|---|
| BMW R 1250 GS | Adventure/touring | Identified as a cruise-control example in the MotoFomo roundup; check the model year and local specification. |

| Honda X-ADV | Adventure scooter | Honda UK’s X-ADV specifications list cruise control. Confirm the model year and your market’s specification. |
What to check before choosing a bike
Standard, optional or accessory fitment
A model name alone does not tell you whether cruise control is included. It may be standard on one trim, optional on another, or unavailable on a particular year. Indian’s 2025–2026 Scout accessory catalog, for example, lists a cruise-control kit that fits specified model years and says the feature is standard on select models and trims. That is a model-specific factory accessory example, not evidence of fitment across the Indian range. See the Indian 2026 accessories catalog.
Conventional cruise versus adaptive cruise
Conventional cruise holds the speed selected by the rider. ACC can also vary speed to maintain a suitable following distance from the vehicle ahead. Kawasaki describes that operation on the UK page for its 2026 Ninja H2 SX SE. The specialist adaptive-cruise guide explains the distinction, but its information was last updated in 2024; check a current local manufacturer specification for any bike not listed here.
Factory feature or aftermarket solution
If your current motorcycle lacks factory cruise, there are throttle locks and electronic aftermarket kits, but compatibility is specific to the bike and installation. Check the exact model, year and throttle type against the maker’s fitment information before buying. BrakeAway’s fit list is one example of model-specific compatibility information. Veridian Cruise’s compatibility page says the company is prioritizing throttle-by-wire bikes and that throttle-by-cable bikes will not be supported for some time; do not assume a universal fit.

You only need to loosen the split rings, position the bracket next to your original handlebar switch assembly, then tighten all screws following the provided step‑by‑step installation video. Average installation time is roughly 8‑15 minutes for most riders. It can also be quickly removed whenever you want to restore the stock handlebar condition.
- Mechanical Throttle Holding Aid — NOT Electronic Cruise ControlThis is a purely mechanical auxiliary holding device, NOT OEM‑style electronic cruise control. It cannot automatically maintain constant vehicle speed on its own. You must always keep your right hand on the throttle grip while riding. A simple backward roll of your throttle grip will instantly disengage the lock mechanism. Never completely release your right hand from the throttle when the motorcycle is moving. Always test the locking and releasing function at low speed in a safe area before you start highway riding to get familiar with how this throttle assist works for your safety.

How to verify the exact motorcycle
- Identify the model year, exact trim and country-market version—not only the model family.
- Check the manufacturer’s specification or brochure for that version and look for cruise control as a named feature.
- If the bike is used, inspect its equipment list and controls or ask the seller to demonstrate the system; an optional feature may not be fitted.
- For an accessory or aftermarket kit, confirm the maker’s fitment for the exact year and throttle type before purchase or installation.
