A concept car can preview a design direction without ever reaching a showroom. Of the 15 names below, six have manufacturer-documented descriptions in the available source material; the other nine appear only on a third-party 2025 video list. That distinction matters: a candidate list is not proof that a car is current, that its details are confirmed, or that it will be built.
Six concepts with manufacturer-documented details
These six offer a useful spread of ideas, from cabin design to family transport and electric performance. Only Audi’s Concept C has a specific production-model target in the available information—and that remains Audi’s stated plan.
Bentley EXP 15: a cabin as the concept
Bentley uses EXP 15 to explore configurable interior space, lighting and digital interfaces, including a full-width digital dashboard. The company describes it as a bridge between physical and digital experiences. Bentley’s concept-car page says, “At Bentley, a concept car is more than just a vision of a distant future.” These are design themes, not a stated commitment to sell EXP 15 as a production car.
Peugeot Polygon Concept: a different way to steer
Polygon’s defining experiment is the Hypersquare steering control: an unusual shape with four circular pods at its corners, intended to keep controls within reach. Peugeot presents the car as a statement about future driving enjoyment, not as confirmation of a production model. The company’s release says, “This unique concept car embodies PEUGEOT’s vision of the future.”

Mitsubishi D:X Concept: electrified family utility
Mitsubishi describes D:X as an electrified crossover MPV that hints at a future Delica. Its relevance is the combination of family-oriented utility and electrification. “Hints at” is the important qualification: the concept expresses design intent, not a confirmed production vehicle.
Audi Concept C: a stated production plan
Audi describes Concept C as an electric sports-car concept and says the car will be built as a production model, with a launch target of 2027. That date is Audi’s plan, stated in 2026, not a guarantee that timing or specifications will remain unchanged.

Škoda Vision O: the estate-car question
Škoda says Vision O is intended to show the future direction of its estate models, bringing together new technologies, sustainability and the brand’s estate-car experience. The announcement describes a study of direction; it does not establish that this exact concept will be sold.
Volkswagen ID. CROSS Concept: compact electric mobility
Volkswagen Group presents ID. CROSS as a compact SUV concept aimed at affordable electric mobility. Its announcement also discusses a series of small and compact EV launches from 2026, but that broader launch discussion does not, by itself, confirm ID. CROSS as a production model.

Auto Moto Show’s video “15 Stunning Concept Cars for 2026 & 2027,” published in 2025, supplies the following additional candidates. The available information does not independently establish their current status, specifications or production prospects, so they should be treated as names on that secondary list—not as verified future models.

The video’s list also includes Audi Concept C, Volkswagen ID. CROSS Concept, and Renault Twingo E-Tech Concept, alongside the six manufacturer-documented examples discussed above. Its title is not evidence that each vehicle remains a future concept or has an announced path to production.

How to read a concept car’s production prospects
Look for the strength of the maker’s wording. A concept that “hints at” a future model or explores a design direction is different from one the manufacturer says it plans to build. Audi’s stated 2027 target for Concept C is the clearest production commitment among the six documented examples here; the other descriptions establish design or product intent, not a confirmed sale date.
Concepts are also useful to compare by the question they pose: Bentley explores interior architecture and digital interaction; Peugeot experiments with steering controls; Mitsubishi and Volkswagen Group foreground utility and electric mobility; Škoda considers the estate-car format; and Audi sketches an electric sports car. Those are distinct design propositions, not directly comparable promises about what buyers will be able to purchase.
