15 Fastest Koenigsegg Supercars, Ranked

The Jesko Absolut may be Koenigsegg’s fastest car in theory, but the Agera RS owns the marque’s strongest verified production-car speed record at 277.87 mph.

Koenigsegg’s fastest cars are often discussed as if every quoted number came from the same kind of test. They did not. Some figures are manufacturer estimates, some are theoretical ceilings, and one—the Agera RS’s 277.87-mph result—is a verified two-way production-car average.

This ranking uses Koenigsegg’s published maximum-speed figures, placing documented runs ahead of estimates where the numbers overlap. The Jesko models remain at the top because Koenigsegg says they are intended to exceed 300 mph, but neither the Jesko nor Jesko Absolut has completed a published maximum-speed run confirming that claim.

How the ranking works

“Fastest” can mean several different things in the Koenigsegg world. A vehicle may have a calculated top speed, a tire rating, a manufacturer specification, or a timed run on a closed road. Those are not interchangeable.

The Agera RS is the benchmark for a verified result: on November 4, 2017, it averaged 277.87 mph (447.19 km/h) over runs in opposite directions in Nevada. Its separate 284.55-mph one-way pass was faster, but it is not the official two-way figure.

1. Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut — more than 300 mph claimed

The Jesko Absolut is Koenigsegg’s dedicated low-drag, top-speed variant. Its shape, aero configuration, and gearing are intended to make it faster in a straight line than the track-focused Jesko Attack.

Koenigsegg has stated that the car is intended to become faster than any fully homologated production car. The commonly repeated 330-mph number is an estimate, not a result from a completed maximum-speed run. Koenigsegg’s current model information does not publish an official numerical top speed and effectively leaves the final figure to future testing.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

That keeps the Absolut first on potential and published intent—not on a verified 330-mph pass.

2. Koenigsegg Jesko — more than 300 mph claimed

The Jesko family is powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 and was developed in two distinct directions. The Jesko Attack prioritizes downforce and circuit performance, while the Absolut reduces aerodynamic drag for high-speed running.

The often-quoted “over 300 mph” claim relates to the low-drag configuration and its theoretical performance. It should not be presented as a verified production-car record. The Jesko therefore ranks below the Absolut in this list because the Absolut is the explicit top-speed derivative, even though neither has published a completed maximum-speed run.

3. Koenigsegg Agera RS — 277.87 mph

The Agera RS holds the strongest documented speed case in this group. In Nevada, it achieved a two-way average of 277.87 mph (447.19 km/h), making it Koenigsegg’s relevant verified production-car speed-record entry.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

A separate pass reached 284.55 mph, but a one-way run is more vulnerable to road gradient, wind, and other conditions. The two-way average is the figure to use when comparing the Agera RS with other production cars.

  • Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Livery Edition - 5473DF Kinsmart Model Vehicle

  • This is a 5"Lx 2.25"Wx 1.25"H Diecast Metal model with some plastic parts
  • Openable Front Doors, Pullback Motor Action
  • 1 car, no box

This distinction also explains why the Agera RS remains ahead of cars with larger theoretical numbers. A verified 277.87 mph is more meaningful than an untested 300-mph estimate.

4. Koenigsegg One:1 — 273 mph theoretical

The One:1 takes its name from its headline one-to-one power-to-weight ratio. Koenigsegg’s technical information gives it a theoretical top speed of 273 mph, but the company does not list a verified maximum-speed run for the car.

Its position is consequently based on the published estimate rather than a timed top-speed result. The One:1 is still an important part of Koenigsegg’s high-speed story, but its 273-mph figure should not be described as an achieved record.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

5. Koenigsegg Agera R — 273 mph theoretical

The Agera R is often associated with a 273-mph top-speed figure, but that number is a theoretical ceiling. The car did establish significant acceleration and braking credentials, including a 0–300–0 km/h time of 21.19 seconds, yet that achievement did not verify a 273-mph maximum speed.

The Agera R used a flex-fuel powertrain, allowing it to run on suitable biofuel blends as well as gasoline. Its published speed estimate places it alongside the One:1, but the One:1 is ranked first between the two in this ordering.

6. Koenigsegg Regera — approximately 250 mph

The Regera reached approximately 250 mph, or about 403 km/h, during a 2019 0–400–0 km/h record run. That makes it unusual in this ranking: the speed is tied to a documented acceleration-and-braking attempt rather than a standalone top-speed record.

Koenigsegg reported that the car’s speed during the run was limited by engine rpm. The Regera’s hybrid powertrain and single-speed direct-drive transmission give it a very different character from the multi-speed gearboxes used in most of the cars above it.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Do not confuse the Regera’s 0–400–0 achievements with a maximum-speed record. The run demonstrates how quickly it accelerates and stops, while the approximately 250-mph figure is the peak speed reached during that attempt.

7. Koenigsegg Agera S — over 400 km/h

Koenigsegg published a top speed of more than 400 km/h—approximately 248.5 mph—for the Agera S. This is a specification rather than a documented two-way maximum-speed run.

The Agera S was the gasoline-only alternative to the flex-fuel Agera R. In speed terms, it sits just below the Regera’s approximately 250-mph figure, although the small difference should not imply that the two cars were tested under identical conditions.

8. Koenigsegg Agera — over 400 km/h

The base Agera is also listed at more than 400 km/h, or approximately 248.5 mph. Its technical data includes tires rated for more than 420 km/h, but that rating describes the tire’s capability; it does not prove that the car itself reached 420 km/h.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

That is an important distinction with older hypercars. Component ratings, calculated gearing, and published vehicle speeds can appear close together in specifications, but only a properly conducted vehicle test establishes what the complete car achieved.

9. Koenigsegg CCXR — 400+ km/h estimated

The CCXR brought Koenigsegg’s flex-fuel engine concept to the CCX platform. Its technical specification lists a top speed of 400-plus km/h, but labels the number as estimated.

That places the CCXR below the Agera models in this ranking despite its similar headline speed. The number is a useful indication of the car’s intended performance, not evidence of a verified 250-mph run.

10. Koenigsegg CCXR Edition — 400 km/h estimated

The CCXR Edition used the 1,018-bhp flex-fuel engine and carried an estimated top speed of 400 km/h. Only four examples were produced, making it considerably rarer than the standard CCXR.

Its speed figure remains an estimate. Rarity and power do not turn a manufacturer estimate into an independently recorded maximum speed, so it stays in the middle of the ranking.

11. Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition — 400 km/h estimated

The CCXR Special Edition retained the 1,018-bhp engine and added a more aggressive aerodynamic package. Koenigsegg lists its top speed at an estimated 400 km/h.

Only two were produced. The specification is effectively level with the CCXR Edition, but the Special Edition is listed separately because it was a distinct, limited-production derivative rather than merely an equipment package.

12. Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita — 400 km/h estimated

The CCXR Trevita is another two-car derivative of the CCXR. Its defining visual feature is Koenigsegg’s proprietary diamond-weave carbon treatment, which gives the exposed carbon a distinctive silvery appearance.

Performance-wise, Koenigsegg lists an estimated 400-km/h top speed. As with the other CCXR variants, that figure is not a verified maximum-speed run.

13. Koenigsegg CCX Edition — 400+ km/h without rear wing

Koenigsegg specified the CCX Edition at more than 400 km/h—over 250 mph—without its rear wing. Removing the wing reduces drag, but it also changes the car’s aerodynamic balance, so the qualification is part of the published figure.

Only two CCX Editions were produced. The 400-plus-km/h number is a model specification, not a modern two-way production-car record.

14. Koenigsegg CCX — 395+ km/h

The CCX has an official specification of more than 395 km/h, or over 245 mph. It also recorded 196 mph during a Top Gear test-track run, but that was a circuit test and should not be confused with the car’s maximum-speed specification.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

A test track imposes different limits from a long, straight high-speed course. The 196-mph figure says something about that particular test, not that the CCX’s full-speed specification was disproved.

15. Koenigsegg CCR — 395+ km/h specified

The CCR closes the list with Koenigsegg’s specification of more than 395 km/h. Its documented Nardo run reached 387.86 km/h, or 241.0 mph, in 2005.

Both numbers matter: 395-plus km/h is the manufacturer’s stated ceiling, while 387.86 km/h is the recorded result. Since the run did not reach the specification figure, it would be misleading to call 395 km/h an achieved top speed.

What the numbers actually show

The most defensible conclusion is not that every car below the Agera RS is slower in absolute reality. It is that the evidence becomes progressively less comparable as the list moves from timed runs to estimates.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Verified result: The Agera RS’s 277.87-mph two-way average.
  • Documented peak during another test: The Regera’s approximately 250 mph during a 0–400–0 km/h run and the CCR’s 387.86-km/h Nardo run.
  • Published specifications: Models such as the Agera, Agera S, CCX, and CCX Edition.
  • Theoretical or estimated figures: The Jesko family’s 300-plus-mph claim, the One:1 and Agera R’s 273 mph, and the 400-km/h CCXR derivatives.

The Jesko Absolut may eventually produce the largest number on this list, but until Koenigsegg publishes a completed test, 330 mph remains an estimate. For a proven record, the Agera RS is still the car to beat.

FAQ

What is the fastest Koenigsegg ever made?

The Jesko Absolut has the highest claimed potential, with Koenigsegg developing it specifically for extreme top speed. However, it has not published a completed maximum-speed run or an official 330-mph result. The fastest verified entry in this list is the Agera RS at 277.87 mph over a two-way average.

Has a Koenigsegg reached 330 mph?

No official Koenigsegg test has established 330 mph. That figure is a commonly repeated estimate for the Jesko Absolut. Koenigsegg’s current information says the car is intended to exceed the speed of any fully homologated car, but its eventual top speed remains to be demonstrated.

What is the official top speed of the Koenigsegg Agera RS?

The Agera RS recorded a verified two-way average of 277.87 mph, or 447.19 km/h, in Nevada on November 4, 2017. A one-way pass reached 284.55 mph, but that is not the official two-way figure.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Are Koenigsegg top-speed estimates directly comparable?

No. A verified two-way run, a one-way pass, a manufacturer specification, a theoretical calculation, and a peak speed reached during an acceleration test measure different things. This ranking identifies the status of each figure rather than treating all published numbers as equivalent.

The Bottom Line

The Jesko Absolut is Koenigsegg’s top-speed specialist and has the greatest claimed potential, but its often-cited 330-mph figure remains unverified. The Agera RS is the clear evidence-based winner: its 277.87-mph two-way average is the strongest documented production-car result among these Koenigseggs.
