The 2025 Honda Civic Sedan Hybrid comes in two trims: Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid. Both have Honda-rated output of 200 hp and 232 lb-ft and EPA-estimated fuel economy of 50 mpg city, 47 highway and 49 combined. The key choice is whether the Sport Touring’s added cabin and connectivity features justify its higher original announced price. These figures and equipment details apply to the U.S. sedan, not the separately rated hatchback.
1. Which 2025 Civic Hybrid body style do these figures describe?
Honda sold the 2025 Civic Hybrid as a sedan and a hatchback in the U.S. The figures and trim comparisons in this article concern the Civic Sedan Hybrid. The hatchback has different EPA estimates and its own launch pricing, so check body style before comparing listings or specifications.
2. Which sedan hybrid trims are available?
The U.S. 2025 Civic Sedan Hybrid lineup consists of the Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid. Both use the Civic hybrid powertrain, but the Sport Touring adds comfort, audio and connectivity equipment.
3. What are the EPA fuel-economy estimates?
Honda’s June 2024 announcement lists EPA estimates of 50 mpg city, 47 mpg highway and 49 mpg combined for both 2025 Civic Sedan Hybrid trims. These are estimates, not a guarantee of what a particular driver will achieve; conditions and driving habits affect actual mileage. The two sedan trims share the same listed rating.

8. What driver-assistance equipment is included?
Honda says Honda Sensing is standard across Civic models. For 2025, the company describes improved motorcycle and bicycle visibility in the Collision Mitigation Braking System with Pedestrian Detection, and smoother behavior for Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist. These are descriptions of equipped driver-assistance systems—not a crash rating or a promise that a collision will be prevented.
Honda’s announcement also says Sport models and above receive Blind Spot Information and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. That statement is specific to the 2025 U.S. Civic lineup; verify equipment for the exact trim, model year and market rather than applying it to other Civics.

9. What oil specification and service quantity does Honda list?
Honda’s 2025 Civic Sedan Hybrid specification lists Honda Genuine Motor Oil 0W-20 or API service SN or higher-grade 0W-20. It gives an oil-change capacity of 3.9 US qt (3.7 L), or 4.2 US qt (4.0 L) with filter. Before servicing a particular car, follow its owner’s manual and maintenance minder.
10. How does the hatchback differ from the sedan?
For the 2025 Civic Hatchback Hybrid, Honda lists EPA estimates of 50 mpg city, 45 highway and 48 combined for the Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid. Those are not the sedan’s 50/47/49 ratings. Honda announced hatchback pricing separately, so do not use the sedan’s launch prices to describe the hatchback. Choose the body style based on the configuration and cargo access you need, then compare the matching trim’s equipment, price and EPA figures.
| 2025 Civic Hybrid body style | EPA city | EPA highway | EPA combined |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sedan, Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid | 50 mpg | 47 mpg | 49 mpg |
| Hatchback, Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid | 50 mpg | 45 mpg | 48 mpg |
These are Honda-quoted EPA estimates from its model-year announcements, not real-world test results. The 1 mpg difference in the highway estimate alone does not establish a particular fuel-cost saving.
What the published figures do not establish
The specifications and launch materials cited here do not establish current market pricing, representative real-world fuel economy, independent crash-test results, long-term reliability or battery replacement costs. Recall or service-action status also depends on the individual vehicle; check its VIN with Honda or the relevant national recall authority.
