Only one bike in this roundup was explicitly announced as an all-new 2024 sportbike: Triumph’s Daytona 660. The rest are a mix of returning U.S. models, motorcycles launched in the Philippines, and established Suzuki models included in the U.S. 2024 lineup. The list is therefore a market-specific snapshot—not ten brand-new designs available everywhere.

Ten sport and sport-touring bikes associated with 2024

“New for 2024” can mean a new design, a launch in a particular country, or simply a motorcycle returning under a 2024 model-year label. The table keeps those distinctions visible. Prices and availability below are historical announcements for the named markets, not current offers.

Motorcycle 2024 context and market Class and notable published details
Triumph Daytona 660 Announced as an all-new 2024 model; market and price depend on country Middleweight, fully faired sports bike; Triumph claims 95 PS at 11,250 rpm, 69 Nm peak torque and a 12,650 rpm redline
Honda CBR1000RR Returned for the U.S. 2024 model year Liter-class sportbike; American Honda’s announced MSRP was $16,699, or $16,999 with ABS
Honda CBR600RR Returned for the U.S. 2024 model year Middleweight sportbike; American Honda’s announced MSRP was $12,199, or $13,199 with ABS
Suzuki GSX-R1000R Included in Suzuki Motor USA’s 2024 lineup announcement Liter-class sportbike; the announcement does not establish it as a new design
Suzuki GSX-R1000 Included in Suzuki Motor USA’s 2024 lineup announcement Liter-class sportbike; the announcement does not establish it as a new design
Suzuki GSX-R600 Included in Suzuki Motor USA’s 2024 lineup announcement Middleweight sportbike; the announcement does not establish it as a new design
Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP Among the big bikes launched by Honda Philippines in April 2024 Liter-class sportbike; Honda Philippines describes a 1,000cc inline-four, winglets, Öhlins electronic suspension and Brembo brakes
Honda CBR650R Among the big bikes launched by Honda Philippines in April 2024 Sportbike; Honda Philippines describes a 649cc inline-four, Showa forks and a five-inch TFT
Suzuki Hayabusa Included in Suzuki Motor USA’s 2024 lineup announcement Performance motorcycle; Suzuki’s announcement does not present it as a new 2024 design
Suzuki GSX-S1000GT and GT+ Included in Suzuki Motor USA’s 2024 lineup announcement Sport-tourers, rather than conventional fully faired sportbikes; Suzuki describes them as high-performance sport-tourers

The Honda U.S. prices were announced for the 2024 model year and should not be read as current pricing. Honda Philippines listed the Fireblade SP at Php1,699,000 as its Philippine unified standard retail price; that figure is not a global price. The cited announcements do not give comparable prices for the other entries.

Which bikes were genuinely new, and which returned?

Triumph Daytona 660: the clear new-model introduction

Triumph announced the Daytona 660 on August 29, 2024, calling it an “all-new, triple powered middleweight sports bike for 2024.” Its published figures are manufacturer claims, not independent test results: 95 PS at 11,250 rpm, 69 Nm of peak torque and a 12,650 rpm redline. Triumph also says more than 80% of peak torque is available from 3,125 rpm. The company lists a six-speed gearbox, Torque Assist clutch, Showa suspension and dual front radial calipers. Triumph Shift Assist, for clutchless up- and downshifts, is available as an accessory.

  • Altitude Adaptability with EFI: Electronic Fuel Injection automatically compensates for changes in altitude by sensing air temperature and density, eliminating the need to manually adjust carburetors jetting at different elevations

  • Zongshen Engine with EFI Technology: HHH GTX 250 is powered by a Zongshen-brand engine and uses electronic fuel injection for better performance and fuel economy with high power output
  • Easier Starting System: The EFI system optimizes fuel delivery for ambient conditions, ensuring reliable and easy engine starts, especially in cold weather, without the need for a manual choke

Honda’s U.S. CBRs: model-year returns, not new introductions

American Honda’s January 23, 2024 announcement explicitly said the CBR1000RR and CBR600RR “return for the 2024 model year.” It gave expected U.S. availability as March for the CBR1000RR and February for the CBR600RR. Those dates and MSRPs describe the original announcement, not present-day dealer stock or pricing.

Suzuki’s U.S. list: lineup membership is not proof of a redesign

Suzuki Motor USA’s August 22, 2023 announcement included the GSX-R1000R, GSX-R1000 and GSX-R600 in its 2024 lineup. It also named the Hayabusa and GSX-S1000GT/GT+. The announcement establishes that these models were part of the announced lineup; it does not establish that every one was newly designed for 2024.

Honda Philippines: a separate regional launch

Honda Philippines reported launching five big bikes at the Makina Moto Show on April 26, 2024, including the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP and CBR650R. This is evidence of a Philippine launch, not proof of identical availability in the United States or other markets. The Fireblade SP’s Philippine price and equipment should be understood in that regional context.

How the choices differ by riding role

Middleweight sportbikes

The Daytona 660 and CBR600RR sit in the middleweight sportbike conversation, but the available announcements support different kinds of comparison. Triumph publishes engine-output and equipment claims for its new triple-powered model; Honda’s U.S. release establishes the CBR600RR’s return, announced price and expected availability. Honda Philippines’ CBR650R is another regional option, with its 649cc inline-four and listed chassis and display equipment. The evidence here does not provide a shared set of specifications for a direct performance ranking.

Liter-class and high-performance sportbikes

The U.S. CBR1000RR and Suzuki GSX-R1000 models represent the established liter-class names in their respective 2024 announcements. Honda Philippines’ CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is a separately named model launched in that market; do not treat its Philippine listing as interchangeable with the U.S. CBR1000RR announcement. Its cited equipment includes electronic Öhlins suspension and Brembo brakes, but no independent comparative test is established here.

Sport-touring and other performance-oriented options

The GSX-S1000GT and GT+ prioritize the sport-touring category in Suzuki’s own description, so they are better considered by riders weighing longer-distance use than by someone seeking only a conventional sportbike. Suzuki also lists the Hayabusa as a performance motorcycle. A model’s inclusion in a sport-oriented roundup does not make its body style, ergonomics or intended use the same as a fully faired supersport.

Availability, homologation and models outside the list

Announcements are tied to market and date. A U.S. model-year return, a Philippine launch and Triumph’s announcement should not be combined into a claim of worldwide availability. Check the relevant national importer or dealer for current stock, local specifications and pricing.

The FIM’s list updated March 19, 2024 includes 2024 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and SP homologation entries, with January 2024 start dates and January 2032 end dates. Homologation concerns competition eligibility; it does not prove retail release, pricing or suitability for a particular road rider.

Two tempting inclusions need qualification. Yamaha Europe called the XSR900 GP a new Sport Heritage model, not a conventional fully faired sportbike. BMW Motorrad’s October 30, 2024 announcement covers motorcycles for the upcoming season, so it is not evidence of a 2024 launch. BMW’s stated 218 hp for the M 1000 RR, a 6 hp increase, belongs to that subsequent-season update rather than this 2024 roundup.

What to compare before choosing

  • Market: Confirm that the exact model and trim were offered in your country; the entries above come from U.S., Philippine and manufacturer announcements with different geographic scopes.
  • Riding role: Separate middleweight and liter-class sportbikes from sport-tourers, and consider whether a fully faired sportbike suits your intended road or track use.
  • Evidence behind the spec: Treat Triumph’s output and torque figures as manufacturer claims. The cited material does not establish independent comparative testing.
  • Price and date: Use the Honda U.S. MSRPs and Philippine Fireblade SP price only as historical, market-specific announcement figures; they are not directly comparable across countries or currencies.
  • Equipment and fit: Compare the actual local trim’s suspension, braking equipment, electronics, ergonomics and accessories rather than assuming that a name or model year guarantees identical specification.
