The Ducati Multistrada V4 RS combines a 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4, Ducati-listed output of 182 hp in its 2025 specification, forged 17-inch wheels and a dry clutch with radar assistance, multiple riding modes and touring-oriented controls. That mix makes “wildest” a fair editorial description of its unusual sport-bike hardware in a touring-family motorcycle—not a measured ranking against every adventure bike.
The specifications below refer to Ducati’s updated 2025 model unless noted otherwise. They are manufacturer figures and equipment descriptions, not independent test results. Model specifications and availability can vary by market.
Why the Multistrada V4 RS stands out
1. It uses Ducati’s Desmosedici Stradale V4
Ducati specifies a 1,103 cc, 90-degree V4 named Desmosedici Stradale, drawing on the design language of the company’s sportbike family. It gives the RS a very different engine character on paper from the more conventional touring-oriented image many riders associate with an adventure motorcycle. Ducati’s 2025 specifications identify the engine and displacement.
2. Its listed output is unusually high for a touring-family model
For the updated 2025 RS, Ducati lists 182 hp (133.8 kW) at 11,750 rpm and 120 Nm at 9,500 rpm. These are the manufacturer’s specification figures, not independently measured results. The original RS announcement in 2023 quoted 180 hp, so the two figures should not be blended: they describe different model presentations. Ducati’s 2023 announcement gives the original figure.
#1 Best Overall
- Rackless Luggage System Design – Mounts directly to motorcycle without requiring a rear rack
- Integrated Heat Shield Protection – Helps protect luggage from exhaust heat exposure
- Adventure Ready Storage System – Designed for carrying gear on extended rides and travel
- Durable Soft Construction – Built for strength and flexibility in off-road conditions
- Secure Mounting System – Helps keep luggage stable during riding on rough terrain
3. A dry clutch is part of the package
The 2025 model’s dry clutch is a distinctly sport-oriented hardware choice on a motorcycle that also offers long-distance assistance and utility. Ducati lists it as part of the updated RS specification; the published material does not establish a particular sound, feel or durability advantage.
4. Forged 17-inch wheels and road-focused tires define its wheel setup
Ducati specifies Marchesini forged aluminum wheels wearing Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires: 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 190/55 ZR17 at the rear. That combination points toward an asphalt-focused setup. It does not, by itself, prove what the motorcycle can or cannot do off pavement.

- Slim Rackless Luggage System for Side Storage Without a Dedicated Mounting Rack
- Includes Quick Harness System; Installs with or Without a Top Rack, No Additional Hardware Required
- Tapered Bag Profile Keeps Cargo Close to the Motorcycle; Compression Straps for Added Support
5. Öhlins suspension uses electronic strategies
The RS is equipped with Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension. Ducati describes the system as using event-based electronic suspension strategies. That tells you what kind of adjustment technology is fitted, but it is not evidence of a particular comfort, handling or lap-time result.
6. Its construction mixes aluminum, titanium and carbon fiber
Ducati lists an aluminum monocoque frame, an aluminum single-sided swingarm, a titanium rear subframe and carbon-fiber details. These materials reinforce the RS’s premium, performance-led positioning. Ducati’s published list does not establish how much weight any one component saves.

- 🏍[WATERPROOF]: Seamless welded process and waterproof fabric, which could prevent rainwater penetration. The main material is a waterproof and tear-resistant tarpaulin, middle layer is a strong mesh cloth, and the two outer sides are pasted with a waterproof glue layer, which is wear-resistant and easy to clean. Shockproof and waterproof, with good storage space and strong durability.
- 🏍[STABILISE]: When cycling fast on bump roads, the bag has a cushioning function.3D 6-sided honeycomb shape, the bump height reaches 6mm,which can effectively cushion the shock and protect the items in the bag.
- 🏍[HIGH VOLUME]: The capacity of the single sided bag is about 24L, double sided bag is about 48L. The bag is designed with external straps and D-buckles in multiple positions, which can freely place the items that need to be carried.
- 🏍[CONVENIENT AND SIMPLICITY]: Roll up design, meets the need of your motorcycle travel touring. The straps used for fixing has the locking function after pressing button. After tightening the webbing, pressing the button can solve the problem of webbing loosening when bumping.
- 🏍[HIGH COMPATIBILITY]: The bag has shoulder straps that can be crossed, and the rear of the motorcycle is fixed after two sides are inserted. When used alone, it can be used as a shoulder bag or a messenger bag.Reflective logo printing for safe cycling at night.
7. Ducati Vehicle Observer brings a MotoGP-developed system into the equipment list
The updated RS includes Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO). Ducati says the system was developed in MotoGP; that is the manufacturer’s description of its development link, not a claim that the road motorcycle is a race bike.
8. Radar assistance adds a touring counterpoint
Front and rear radar support adaptive cruise control and blind-spot detection. Those driver-assistance features sit alongside the RS’s sport-oriented engine and chassis equipment, making its specification less one-dimensional than a simple “sportbike with taller proportions” description suggests.

- 【High-quality material】 The main fabric is made of strong tear-resistant mesh cloth and the overall frame is supported by reinforced steel wire and PE board to ensure overall stability; Anti-slip and wear-resistant material is added to the bottom which is both non-slip and durable.
- 【Scalability】The normal use capacity of the bag is about 40L with the size of 17.3*12.4*12.4 inch. after opening the double-sided stretch zipper, the capacity can be expanded to about 60L with the size of 24.4*12.4*12.4 inch. when folded for storage, it has a very small size of 16.9*13*3.1inch.
- 【User-friendly design】 The top is designed with an elastic elastic band for easy carrying of hanging items; double-sided zippered pocket with ample compartments for easy storage and access; buckle with buckle function closes the buckle when the webbing is tightened. Effectively solves the problem of loosening webbing caused by riding bumps.
- 【Accessories】Provides a shoulder strap that can be attached to the bag and used as a duffel bag when removed from the motorcycle; provides two extension straps to help you secure large items outside the bag; provides four straps to help you secure the bag to the frame; presents a rain cover with a drawstring to protect the motorcycle from rain, even if it is windy, the rain cover will not be blown off.
- 【Applicable models】Large and medium-sized ADV touring motorcycles, short and medium distance street motorcycles, urban retro cruisers.
9. Four power modes and five riding modes let the rider choose a setup
Ducati lists four power modes and five riding modes: Race, Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet. These selectable modes provide different named operating choices; the equipment list alone does not quantify how each changes performance in real-world conditions.
10. Its interface and controls retain Multistrada touring intent
The 2025 equipment list includes a 6.5-inch TFT display, Ducati Connect, hands-free start and Vehicle Hold Control. Along with radar assistance and the Touring riding mode, these features show that the RS remains part of a family built with touring use in mind, even as its hardware leans heavily toward sport.

What “wildest” does—and does not—mean here
“Wildest” is a judgment about the RS’s combination of superbike-derived engine design, high manufacturer-listed output, dry clutch, forged road wheels and premium chassis components in a motorcycle that still carries touring equipment. The specifications do not establish that it is the fastest, best-handling or most capable adventure bike, nor do they settle its off-road ability, fuel economy, reliability or real-world performance. If you are considering one, check the exact model year and your market’s current specification and availability before relying on a listing.
