Nicolas Cage has been linked to some exceptionally scarce collector cars, including a Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder and a Shah of Iran–associated Lamborghini Miura. But no authoritative public inventory confirms a definitive top ten, and some ownership claims conflict. The cars below are notable examples reported as his, not a verified ranking; the order is editorial, not a measurement of rarity.
How to read this list
Rarity here means more than a low production number. The relevant distinctions are the exact model and variant, the strength of the chassis and ownership record, and whether a car is an original or a replica. A rare model is not automatically a confirmed Cage-owned car, and a reported former ownership does not establish that he still owns it.
British GQ and SlashGear offer overlapping but not identical accounts of Cage’s cars. Their reports do not amount to a complete, independently verified inventory, so each attribution below is qualified where needed. British GQ; SlashGear.
10 notable rare cars attributed to Nicolas Cage
1. 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spyder
British GQ reports that Cage’s black long-wheelbase California Spyder was the 34th of 51 LWB examples built. It also says the car was originally ordered by Luigi Innocenti, a friend of Enzo Ferrari. Those details make it a standout attribution, though they should be understood as the account of GQ’s collection feature rather than a complete public ownership file. British GQ.

2. Lamborghini Miura P400 SV/J or SVJ
British GQ and SlashGear associate Cage with chassis 4934, a Miura linked to the Shah of Iran. The precise variant label and production count are unsettled in those accounts: GQ calls it an SV/J and says six were constructed, while SlashGear uses SVJ and says four were built. Without model-specific primary documentation, neither count should be treated here as definitive. GQ reports a 1997 purchase price of $490,000; SlashGear reports $446,820, another discrepancy that does not establish a reliable price for the car today. British GQ; SlashGear.
3. 1938 Bugatti Type 57C Atalante
SlashGear identifies the car as chassis 57679 and reports that it left the factory in Atalante form, was in Cage’s hands in the late 1990s, and sold at RM Sotheby’s in 2002. Those are specific provenance claims, but this account does not independently establish the chassis history. SlashGear.

4. 1964 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III Convertible
SlashGear describes a left-hand-drive, Mulliner-bodied example in Velvet Green as one of only 25 built in that configuration and reports it as a former Cage car. The same article mentions another Silver Cloud III attribution with weaker support; it should not be conflated with this specific 1964 car. SlashGear.
5. Lynx-built Jaguar XKSS replica
SlashGear reports that Cage owned a high-end XKSS replica built by Lynx Engineering, later sold at Bonhams in 2014. It is a replica, not an original Jaguar XKSS or D-Type. That distinction matters because a separate original D-Type ownership claim is disputed; the two attributions should not be merged. SlashGear; The Daily Beast.

6. 1955 Porsche 356 Pre-A Speedster
SlashGear describes a white Speedster with a tan top and interior, later restored and sold through RM Sotheby’s in 2017 for just over $255,000. That is a reported historical sale, not a current valuation. SlashGear.
7. Lamborghini 350 GT
The 350 GT was Lamborghini’s first production car. SlashGear, citing Lamborghini, gives production at around 120 examples. Cage’s connection is less certain: the article characterizes the reported purchase as hazy and says only enthusiast sites link him to chassis 0217. A sale of a near-identical car at Bonhams in 2022 is a market comparison, not evidence of Cage’s ownership or a valuation of his reported car. SlashGear.

8. Lamborghini Diablo VT Alpine
SlashGear reports that Cage ordered an orange 2001 Diablo VT Alpine and says only six cars were believed to have been produced in that color, with his reportedly the sole US-market example. Both the count and the US-market distinction are attributions from that account, not independently confirmed factory figures. SlashGear.
9. Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder attribution
SlashGear, citing the Barchetta registry, reports Cage ownership of a Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder from 2003 to 2007 and says it appeared at The Quail in 2004. British GQ also describes Cage with a 1959 long-wheelbase California Spyder. The accounts may refer to the same car; without independent records establishing two distinct vehicles, it should not be counted as a separate confirmed Ferrari from the GQ entry. SlashGear; British GQ.

10. Jaguar D-Type claim: disputed
British GQ says Cage had a Jaguar D-Type and that it was sold to pay debts. SlashGear says evidence for an original D-Type is thin and points instead to the Lynx XKSS replica. The D-Type therefore belongs on a list of claims associated with Cage, not among the better-supported original-car attributions. British GQ; SlashGear; The Daily Beast.

Auction results are tied to a particular car, specification, date, and sale. They are not appraisals of Cage’s former examples.
- Gooding Christie’s reported that a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider Competizione sold for $25,305,000 in 2025. It was a Competizione, not the reported 1959 long-wheelbase California Spyder attributed to Cage.
- Gooding Christie’s reported a 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400 sale at $1,765,000 in 2025. That is a dated comparable for a different example and specification, not a valuation of the Shah-associated car.
- The same 2025 Pebble Beach results release gave an average of $847,262 per lot sold. That broad auction statistic does not describe any individual Cage-associated car.

Why a definitive top ten is not established
Published accounts identify intriguing cars, but they do not establish a single complete inventory or a consistent method for ranking the cars by rarity. Production totals can vary with terminology, an ownership claim can be weaker than the model’s rarity, and a replica must not be treated as an original. Other lists mention cars such as a Rolls-Royce Phantom II or Ferrari Enzo, but the accounts considered here do not establish enough direct evidence to add them as confirmed entries.
Cage’s ownership has also changed over time. In a report published May 29, 2026, duPont REGISTRY News said he bought a 2003 Lamborghini Murciélago in October 2025 and sold it in February 2026 before it appeared on the marketplace. That later car illustrates changing ownership; the report does not make it part of this historical rarity slate. duPont REGISTRY News.
