These ten U.S. lease offers advertised payments from $199 to $389 per month, but every offer in the list expired by January 5, 2026. They are historical examples, not deals you can assume are still available. JD Power’s guide, published December 17, 2025, was based on offer research accurate as of December 8 and a popular Los Angeles ZIP code; availability and eligibility could vary by location. Check JD Power’s original offer roundup, then request a current written quote from an automaker or local dealer before comparing leases.

All 10 December 2025 lease offers at a glance

JD Power listed the following advertised terms. Payments and signing amounts are in U.S. dollars. The source says prices exclude tax, title, registration, and dealer fees.

Vehicle and advertised configuration Monthly payment Term Due at signing Annual mileage Listed expiry
2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab 4WD LT, TurboMax; current lessees of 2020-model-year-or-newer Chevrolet vehicles $379 36 months $1,379 10,000 miles Jan. 2, 2026
2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E Select RWD, standard battery $308 36 months $308 10,500 miles Jan. 2, 2026
2026 Honda Civic LX Sedan $350 36 months $0 10,000 miles Jan. 5, 2026
2026 Honda Prologue AWD Touring; qualifying current owners of 2011-model-year-or-newer vehicles from select brands in certain states $369 36 months $3,999 10,000 miles Jan. 5, 2026
2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 SEL RWD $239 24 months $3,999 12,000 miles Jan. 2, 2026
2025 Kia Niro EV Wind $209 24 months $3,999 10,000 miles Jan. 2, 2026
2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4, V6; returning lessees $389 42 months $3,869 10,000 miles Jan. 5, 2026
2025 Subaru Crosstrek Premium $279 36 months $2,864 10,000 miles Jan. 2, 2026
2025 Toyota Tacoma SR5 $199 24 months $3,999 12,000 miles Jan. 5, 2026
2025 Volkswagen Jetta SE $359 36 months $0 10,000 miles Jan. 5, 2026

Among these ten offers, the Toyota Tacoma had the lowest advertised payment at $199 a month, while the Ram 1500 had the highest at $389. Neither figure alone tells you which lease would cost less overall or suit your driving.

Why the lowest payment may not be the best deal

The Tacoma’s $199 monthly payment came with $3,999 due at signing, a 24-month term, and a 12,000-mile annual allowance. For a simple comparison of listed payments plus the advertised amount due at signing—before taxes and fees and without accounting for the timing or treatment of upfront money—that is $8,775 over the lease term: $3,999 plus 24 payments of $199. This arithmetic is not a complete lease cost or a substitute for the dealer’s written breakdown.

Use the same set of details for every quote. For an apples-to-apples comparison, check:

  • Total scheduled payments: monthly payment multiplied by the term, plus the amount due at signing. Ask what the signing amount covers and whether it includes any first payment, fees, or other charges.
  • Term: offers here ran from 24 to 42 months; the length changes how long you keep the vehicle and the total number of payments.
  • Mileage allowance: the listed deals allowed 10,000 to 12,000 miles a year, with the Mach-E at 10,500. Ask for the excess-mileage rate and estimate your annual driving.
  • Vehicle match: confirm the exact model year, trim, drivetrain, and other configuration details. A quote for another version is not the same offer.
  • Eligibility and location: verify that you qualify and that the offer applies where you live. The Silverado was for current Chevrolet lessees, the Prologue had brand and state restrictions, and the Ram was for returning lessees.
  • Excluded charges: JD Power’s listed figures exclude tax, title, registration, and dealer fees. Ask for the full amount due at signing and the total of payments in the written quote.

Lease trade-offs to weigh

A lease can offer a lower monthly payment than traditional financing, according to JD Power, but the payment is only one part of the arrangement. At lease end, you return the vehicle rather than owning it through the lease. Mileage limits and vehicle-condition requirements also matter: excess mileage and excess wear can lead to additional charges. Compare those obligations against your expected driving and how long you want to keep a car.

How to check for a lease deal now

Because the offers above expired in early January 2026, treat them as a dated snapshot rather than a current shopping list. Ask the automaker or dealer for the live offer in your area, confirm the exact vehicle is available, and request the complete terms in writing. JD Power also advises confirming region-specific details with automakers or dealers.
