If you want a Harley-Davidson-like look in India, start by deciding what you mean by “similar”: retro styling, cruiser posture, a larger engine, or the X 440’s middleweight roadster character. Royal Enfield’s current India range offers the clearest set of Indian-manufacturer alternatives, but none should be treated as a direct stand-in for every Harley-Davidson. This list focuses on ten Royal Enfield models, compared by category and intended appeal—not as ten identical cruisers.
The reference point is the India-market 2026 Harley-Davidson X 440: a 440 cc single-cylinder air-oil-cooled motorcycle rated at 27 bhp and 38 Nm at 4,000 rpm, with a listed running-order weight of 194.5 kg and unladen seat height of 805 mm. Those figures describe the X 440, not a universal target for alternatives. Harley-Davidson India also lists the X 440 T and separate touring, sport, cruiser and adventure-touring families. Harley-Davidson India’s 2026 lineup and X 440 specifications are useful references.
Royal Enfield’s India lineup spans heritage, cruiser, roadster, adventure, sport and scrambler categories. The ten picks below come from its current official range; their resemblance to a Harley varies by model. See Royal Enfield India’s current motorcycle lineup.
What “matching a Harley” means here
There is no single Harley-Davidson template. A buyer drawn to a low, relaxed cruiser may want something different from someone who likes the X 440’s roadster proportions or simply its retro-metal styling. These Royal Enfields are therefore alternatives by style and broad riding category, not claims of equal performance, equipment, price or ownership experience.

The manufacturer lineup pages establish which models are currently listed, but do not make a direct comparative test. Compare the exact model year and variant specifications before deciding; local on-road price, stock, dealer access and service options depend on the buyer’s city and were not established here.
Ten Indian-manufacturer alternatives to consider
1. Royal Enfield Classic 350 — heritage styling
The Classic 350 is a natural starting point if the appeal is a timeless, substantial-looking motorcycle rather than a like-for-like X 440 performance comparison. Its visual language belongs to Royal Enfield’s heritage side, so it is best compared with a Harley on broad styling cues, not engine class or output. Consider it if you prefer a traditional silhouette for everyday riding and relaxed trips.
2. Royal Enfield Bullet 350 — traditional character
The Bullet 350 is another heritage-led choice, with a more old-school identity than a modern roadster. It may suit a buyer who values the impression of a classic motorcycle more than matching the X 440’s displacement or stance. It is not a cruiser equivalent simply because it has retro styling.

- Tin Sign Details: Size is 12.5"W x 16"H. Crafted from lightweight metal tinplate and manufactured with pre-punched holes in each corner for easy hanging. This makes them convenient for display on walls, doors, fences, or other surfaces.
- Versatile and Eco-Friendly: Tin signs can be used for various purposes, including home decor, bar decorations, garage or man cave adornments, restaurant themes, and as gifts for vintage enthusiasts. Tin is a recyclable material, making tin signs an environmentally friendly choice for those conscious of sustainability.
- Timeless Appeal and Collectibility: Tin signs evoke a sense of nostalgia and evoke memories of bygone times, making them a timeless addition to any space. Due to their nostalgic charm and varied designs, tin signs are sought after as collectibles by enthusiasts and collectors of vintage memorabilia.
- Indoor and Outdoor Use: While tin signs are primarily designed for indoor use, tin signs can also be displayed in covered outdoor areas.
- Made in America: Proudly manufactured in the USA. Family owned and operated since 1987.
3. Royal Enfield Hunter 350 — compact roadster
The Hunter 350 belongs on the list for riders who want a more contemporary, roadster-oriented alternative. Its appeal is a less traditional take on the retro theme, rather than a low-slung cruiser posture. If your Harley interest is primarily the X 440’s everyday road-bike character, this is a more relevant comparison than an adventure model.
4. Royal Enfield Meteor 350 — cruiser-oriented choice
The Meteor 350 is the clearest option here for a buyer prioritising cruiser category and a relaxed-ride brief. It is a more useful comparison to a cruiser-style Harley than to a sport or adventure Harley. Compare the actual seat position, handlebar reach and passenger setup in person, since category labels alone cannot establish physical fit.
5. Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 — larger-capacity cruiser
The Super Meteor 650 brings a larger-engine-class option within Royal Enfield’s cruiser-oriented range. That makes it relevant to someone seeking a more substantial cruiser experience, but it is not a direct X 440 match: the Harley reference is a 440 cc single, and the Super Meteor sits in a different displacement class. Check its current variant specifications and ergonomics against your needs rather than assuming larger means better for commuting or two-up use.

- Size: 12" W X 12" H X 0.125" D
6. Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 — custom-inspired stance
The Shotgun 650 is worth considering if custom-influenced styling matters more than a conventional cruiser layout. It brings a distinct stance within the 650 range, so judge it by its own ergonomics and intended riding use. It may speak to a buyer drawn to a visually bold motorcycle, but it is not interchangeable with the X 440 on category or riding position.
7. Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 — upright retro roadster
The Interceptor 650 is a retro roadster rather than a cruiser. It belongs in this comparison for riders attracted to classic proportions and a larger-capacity motorcycle, but its category and riding posture should be assessed on their own terms. It is a better shortlist candidate for open-road roadster use than for someone whose first requirement is a low cruiser seat and feet-forward stance.

The Continental GT 650 takes the 650 platform in a sportier direction. Its café-racer influence makes it the least suitable choice here for someone specifically seeking a Harley-like cruiser posture, but its retro styling may appeal to a rider whose interest is a classic-looking motorcycle with a more committed riding position. Try the posture before buying if daily comfort is important.

9. Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 — modern roadster
The Guerrilla 450 is a contemporary roadster choice, making it more relevant to the X 440’s broad road-going character than to a classic cruiser. It offers a different design language from the heritage models above. Treat it as a category and use comparison, not a claim that its performance, equipment or feel equals the Harley.
10. Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 — adventure alternative, not a cruiser
The Himalayan 450 is included for buyers attracted to a purposeful, substantial motorcycle but intending to ride beyond paved-road commuting. It belongs to the adventure category, not the cruiser or roadster family. Its inclusion highlights why “looks similar” can be misleading: size and upright presence do not mean the same posture, handling priorities or use case.

| What you want | Models to start with | Why this is the relevant comparison |
|---|---|---|

| Cruiser category and relaxed-ride intent | Meteor 350, Super Meteor 650 | The most directly cruiser-oriented choices in this list; compare exact ergonomics and engine class. |
| Custom-influenced appearance | Shotgun 650 | A distinctive styling direction that should be assessed on its own layout and use. |
| Roadster character | Hunter 350, Interceptor 650, Guerrilla 450 | More relevant if you want an everyday or open-road motorcycle rather than a feet-forward cruiser. |
| Sportier retro posture | Continental GT 650 | Retro appearance with a more committed riding-position brief. |
| Adventure riding | Himalayan 450 | A different category for mixed-surface intent, not a cruiser substitute. |
Check fit, cost and availability before choosing
Manufacturer category names and appearance cannot tell you whether a motorcycle will suit your height, reach or regular route. Sit on the specific variant and, where available, arrange a test ride through the manufacturer’s dealer journey. Compare seat height, running weight, handlebar reach, footpeg position and passenger accommodation with your own needs. The X 440’s published 805 mm unladen seat height and 194.5 kg running-order weight provide one reference point, but different measurement conventions and configurations matter.

Verdict
For cruiser intent, begin with the Meteor 350 or Super Meteor 650. For a Harley-inspired retro look without insisting on cruiser ergonomics, compare the Classic 350, Bullet 350, Interceptor 650 and Shotgun 650. If what you like is a roadster rather than a cruiser, put the Hunter 350 or Guerrilla 450 on the shortlist. The Himalayan 450 and Continental GT 650 make sense for different purposes and postures, not as direct Harley cruiser stand-ins. Test the exact bike you are considering and verify local price and availability before making the comparison.
