The best-value Honda motorcycle depends on how and where you ride—not just which model has the lowest sticker price. Honda’s published U.S. 2026 prices make eight current options straightforward to compare, from the $4,499 CB300R to the $10,899 Rebel 1100T. Two additional candidates—the CRF300L and Shadow Phantom—are included with clear 2025-year qualifications because current prices are not established here.
Prices below are manufacturer-listed base MSRPs plus destination charges, before taxes, registration, dealer fees, or promotions. A low purchase price is not proof of low ownership cost: comparable insurance, maintenance, fuel, tire, and depreciation data are not available.
How to judge value in Honda’s motorcycle lineup
Start with the riding job the bike needs to do. A standard, sportbike, adventure model, cruiser, and dual-sport serve different purposes, so comparing their MSRPs alone can produce the wrong answer. Consider riding style and terrain, engine class and transmission, fit and comfort, included equipment, and the full amount a dealer quotes.
The prices for the first eight motorcycles below are from Honda’s U.S. 2026 listings. They are not independent value ratings, and a listed price does not guarantee local inventory or the same transaction price. Honda’s 2026 sport and standard lineup notes reduced MSRPs on select models; that is Honda’s own price announcement, not a third-party assessment.

Eight 2026 Hondas with published U.S. prices
1. Honda CB300R: a price-led standard
At $4,499 base MSRP plus $600 destination, the 2026 CB300R is the least expensive motorcycle in the cited 2026 sport and standard lineup. It makes sense to consider if you want a standard-format bike and keeping the initial listed price down is a priority. Its price alone does not establish whether it is the right fit; compare ergonomics and intended use before choosing it over a larger model.

- Tamiya branded ready-to-assemble plastic precision static model kit. It is supplied unpainted and is ideal for model makers and painters!
- Required to complete: cement, paint and finishing supplies.
- This plastic model assembly kit depicts the Honda CB750F, a bike which showed immense popularity as soon as it was released. The model features a detailed depiction of the engine and its cooling fins, with vinyl tubing employed to recreate various lines and cables. Modellers will also be delighted to hear that the steering column features a metal screw for durability, while synthetic rubber tyres have realistic tread patterns. Decals are included for use with 3 different bodywork colours. Realistic rubber-like tyres with accurate tread pattern. Highly detailed DOHC 4-cylinder engine. Many plated parts included for added realism.
- Supplied in card box retail style packaging, it is an ideal model kit for the keen hobbyist to assemble and paint.
2. Honda Rebel 300 E-Clutch: a smaller cruiser with clutch assistance
The 2026 Rebel 300 E-Clutch is listed at $5,349 plus $600 destination. Honda specifies a 286cc single, a 27.2-inch seat height, and its E-Clutch system. It is a cruiser-format alternative for someone who values that low seat and the clutch feature rather than a standard riding position. The low seat is one fit consideration, not a guarantee that the bike will suit every rider.
3. Honda CB500 Hornet: a step up in the standard class
The CB500 Hornet carries a 2026 base MSRP of $5,899 and a $600 destination charge. It costs $1,400 more in base MSRP than the CB300R. That difference is worth considering if you want to move up within Honda’s standard lineup, but whether the additional spend pays off depends on the features and performance you value; the price comparison does not establish a universal upgrade choice.

4. Honda CBR500R: sport styling at a middleweight price
Honda lists the 2026 CBR500R at $6,399 plus $600 destination. It is the sport-styled choice in this group, priced $500 above the CB500 Hornet’s base MSRP. Consider it when the sportbike format is part of the value you want; a different riding position or style may matter more than the small gap in listed prices.
5. Honda NX500: the adventure-format option
The 2026 NX500 is listed at $6,899 plus $600 destination, and Honda classifies it as an adventure model. For buyers prioritizing that format, the relevant comparison is whether its intended use and equipment fit their riding plans—not whether it costs more than a standard or sport model. Confirm the specific bike’s equipment and suitability for your terrain with Honda’s current model information and a dealer.

6. Honda Rebel 500: a middleweight cruiser with useful published specs
Honda’s 2026 Rebel 500 page lists a $6,799 base MSRP and $600 destination charge. It specifies a 471cc liquid-cooled parallel twin, six-speed manual transmission, 27.2-inch seat height, and ABS. Those details make it a strong candidate to compare if you want a middleweight cruiser; weigh the manual transmission and seating fit against your preferences rather than treating the price as a complete value verdict.
7. Honda Rebel 1100: a larger cruiser for a higher budget
The 2026 Rebel 1100 is listed at $9,699 base MSRP plus $775 destination. Honda identifies a 1084cc parallel twin. Its listed base MSRP is $2,900 above the Rebel 500, so the decision is whether the larger engine class and associated model features are worth that additional purchase cost for your riding. The figures do not establish that it will cost more or less to own over time.

8. Honda Rebel 1100T: touring equipment included
The 2026 Rebel 1100T costs $10,899 base MSRP plus $775 destination in Honda’s lineup. Honda describes it as including locking, weather-resistant hard saddlebags and a handlebar-mounted fairing and windscreen. The base MSRP is $1,200 above the Rebel 1100. If you want this touring equipment, compare the bundled model with the cost and compatibility of adding accessories to another bike; no accessory pricing is established here.

9. Honda CRF300L: consider it for dual-sport use, not as a priced 2026 pick
The Honda comparison document for 2025 motorcycles lists the CRF300L with a 286cc single and 10.2 inches of front and rear suspension travel. Those specifications make it relevant to riders considering a dual-sport, but a current price is not established here. Treat it as a 2025-specification candidate and check Honda’s current model-year listing and local dealer quote before comparing its purchase cost with the 2026 prices above.
10. Honda Shadow Phantom ABS: a dated cruiser listing to verify
A 2025 Shadow Phantom ABS listing in Honda related-model results showed an $8,699 base MSRP plus $600 destination. This is a dated listing, not confirmation of a current 2026 model or price. It belongs on a research shortlist only if you are interested in that cruiser and can verify current availability, model year, and pricing directly with Honda or a dealer.
Which Honda is the best value for your needs?
- Lowest listed 2026 base MSRP: The CB300R, at $4,499 plus $600 destination, is the least expensive in the cited current lineup. That does not make it the least expensive to own.
- Want a cruiser and a 27.2-inch seat: Compare the Rebel 300 E-Clutch and Rebel 500. Honda lists that seat height for both; the Rebel 500’s published specifications also include ABS and a six-speed manual.
- Want a larger cruiser: Compare the Rebel 1100’s price and 1084cc engine class with what you actually need. The 1100T’s additional listed cost buys specified touring equipment.
- Want sport or adventure styling: The CBR500R and NX500 are distinct format choices, not direct substitutes simply because their prices are relatively close.
- Interested in dual-sport riding or the Shadow Phantom: Verify model year and current price first; the available evidence for those two candidates is dated to 2025.
Before buying, ask for an itemized out-the-door quote and compare insurance, maintenance, fuel, tires, and expected depreciation for the models you are considering. Those costs vary by rider, location, use, and dealer, and no comparable totals are established here.
