But the headline payment alone did not show the full cost: once the stated amount due at signing was spread over the lease term, these examples worked out to about $190 to $431 a month, before any charges not included in the source’s calculation. These are historical offers, not deals confirmed to be available now.
How to read these January 2025 lease offers
Electrek published its roundup on January 25, 2025, and said the figures were updated January 24. Each offer below is a reported example for that month, not a current quote. Electrek attributed the offer data to CarsDirect. Its effective monthly figures account for the stated due-at-signing amount across the lease term; they should not be treated as all-in payments covering every tax or fee.
The distinction matters: a low advertised payment may require a sizable upfront payment. To compare offers, look at the model year, lease length, amount due at signing, and effective monthly rate together. The figures below are reproduced as reported, not recalculated or independently verified.

Geographic eligibility and quote details to confirm
The Prologue example was for an EX front-wheel-drive trim in California and other zero-emission-vehicle states. Electrek reported offers starting at $249 a month in other areas. That difference is a reminder that a reported monthly payment may depend on location and exact configuration.

A lease does not automatically require a home charger, but charging access can affect convenience and cost. Nissan describes home charging as its most convenient option for the ARIYA and points owners to the Nissan Energy Charge Network through the MyNISSAN app. Its current 2025 ARIYA information is general vehicle and charging context; it does not verify a January 2025 lease offer.

Electrek also reported a historical 2025 IONIQ 5 promotion that offered buyers or lessees a free ChargePoint Level 2 home charger or a $400 charging credit. That promotion is not evidence of current availability or eligibility.
If considering a Level 2 home charger, first check your electrical capacity, connector compatibility, installation requirements, and—if you rent—permission to install equipment. A home charger is not a universal requirement, and public charging may suit some drivers better.
