The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra attracted reported crowds and test-drive inquiries at some Chinese showrooms after its February 2025 launch, but access varied by store. Xiaomi later displayed it at Berlin’s IFA in September 2026; that exhibition appearance does not establish European retail availability. The available reports document specific events and company order figures—not a representative survey proving that visitors generally found the car impressive.
Where was the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra displayed?
CarNewsChina reported on February 4, 2025, citing Xiaomi’s official Weibo account, that the production SU7 Ultra would begin appearing in 112 Xiaomi stores across 42 Chinese cities the next day. The report described its distinctive front spoiler, larger brakes, rear spoiler, wider body, and yellow finish with white “Ultra” stripes. CarNewsChina’s February 2025 showroom report.
That was a dated rollout announcement, not a current store locator. The reports do not establish which locations have the car on display today or whether any particular store offers test drives now.
Berlin and Madrid appearances
At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Xiaomi displayed the SU7 Ultra alongside the new-generation SU7, according to Cinco Días. The article reported Xiaomi Auto planned to begin operating in Europe from 2027. The IFA display was an exhibition appearance; it does not show that European buyers could order or take delivery of the car there.

Los40 separately reported a temporary Madrid showroom activation from February 23 to March 20, 2026, featuring professional driving simulators after the SU7 Ultra was added to Gran Turismo 7. What was the showroom response in China?
National Business Daily reported on March 1, 2025, following visits to Xiaomi Auto stores on February 28, that visitors were taking photos, asking questions, and queuing to book test drives. An unnamed salesperson at one Beijing store told the outlet that the location had received more than 160 firm orders by 8 p.m. That is an attributed store-level statement, not an audited figure for all Xiaomi locations. There were access constraints, too. The same report said one store placed barriers around its display car after a customer complaint and prioritized customers with firm orders. Not every Beijing store had a display vehicle; at that time, five of the six Beijing stores with the SU7 Ultra offered public test drives. The outlet also reported that the mini-program listed test drives in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. These details describe conditions in late February 2025, not current schedules.
The figures most often cited as evidence of demand are orders, not showroom attendance. Xiaomi’s 2024 annual report said pre-orders exceeded 19,000 and locked-in orders exceeded 10,000 in the first three days after launch. Separately, Xiaomi’s late-night poster on February 28, 2025, put nationwide locked-in orders above 15,000, as reported by National Business Daily. Neither count measures how many people visited stores or how they felt about the car.

What might have drawn attention to the SU7 Ultra?
Xiaomi positioned the SU7 Ultra as a high-performance luxury car for road and track use. Its 2024 annual report listed a tri-motor system, maximum output of 1,548 PS, 0–100 km/h acceleration in 1.98 seconds, a top speed of 350 km/h, and a China starting price of RMB 529,900. CnEVPost’s February 27, 2025 launch report gave the battery capacity as 93.7 kWh and the claimed CLTC range as 630 km. It reported a 10-to-80% charging time of 11 minutes. At launch, Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun said the company wanted the SU7 Ultra to rival Porsche in performance, Tesla in technology, and German luxury brands in luxury. That describes Xiaomi’s ambition, not an independent comparison or finding that the car surpasses those competitors.

The cited China reports establish a February 2025 rollout and test-drive availability at some locations at that time. They do not establish present-day display cars, inventory, or appointment availability. Contact a Xiaomi Auto location directly and confirm both the specific SU7 Ultra and a test-drive slot before traveling. The Berlin IFA display and Madrid simulator activation likewise do not establish a current European retail or test-drive option.
