It is not merely a fast electric car. Xiaomi has positioned it as a technology-led flagship, pairing extreme acceleration and track-focused cooling with HyperOS software, Xiaomi HAD driver assistance, and a screen-heavy luxury-style cabin.
The important qualifications are just as significant as the headline numbers. The 1.98-second acceleration claim excludes one-foot rollout, the 620 km figure uses China’s CLTC test cycle, and the Nürburgring result belongs to a production SU7 Ultra fitted with the optional Track Package—not automatically to every SU7 Ultra. Xiaomi launched the car in China on February 27, 2025, and the reviewed official material does not establish U.S. retail availability, warranty coverage, or homologation.
What is the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra?
The SU7 Ultra is Xiaomi’s flagship performance version of the SU7 electric sedan. It uses three electric motors, all-wheel drive, a large battery, track-oriented thermal hardware, and a cabin built around Xiaomi’s connected-device and software ecosystem.
That combination gives the car two distinct personalities. On paper, it has the acceleration and top speed associated with exotic performance cars. In everyday use, it remains a four-door electric sedan with a long-range laboratory rating, large displays, driver-assistance technology, and the digital interface Xiaomi wants to extend across its automotive products.

The Ultra should also be separated from three related configurations:
- Production SU7 Ultra: the standard road-going model launched in China.
- SU7 Ultra with Track Package: a factory performance configuration offered as a RMB 100,000 option, with track-focused equipment and calibration.
- Nürburgring Limited Edition: a more exclusive collector-oriented variant, priced above the regular car and not simply interchangeable with the standard model.
The earlier SU7 Ultra Prototype is a separate vehicle again. Its Nürburgring performance should not be used as though it were the result of the regular production sedan.

The power, torque, and acceleration figures above are published specification claims, not independent test results. Actual performance depends on tire choice, surface grip, battery state of charge, temperature, launch settings, and test procedure.
How quick is the SU7 Ultra?
Xiaomi quotes a 1.98-second 0–100 km/h time. The company’s qualification that the figure is measured without one-foot rollout matters. In acceleration testing, rollout allows the vehicle to move a short distance before the timing clock starts, which can produce a quicker published result. Excluding it makes the stated number more demanding than a rollout-assisted figure, but it still does not make the result universally reproducible in every road situation.

The SU7 Ultra’s three-motor system is central to that performance. Multiple motors allow Xiaomi to distribute torque between the front and rear axles and manage traction more precisely than a conventional two-wheel-drive layout. The exact experience will still depend on tires, pavement, temperature, and how much power the battery can deliver at that moment.
The car’s designed maximum speed is 350 km/h. “Designed maximum speed” is not the same as a speed that can safely or legally be reached on public roads. It is best understood as an engineering and performance specification for a vehicle whose most extreme capabilities belong on a suitable closed course.
Battery, range, and what 620 km CLTC really means
The launch-era Chinese specification lists a battery of approximately 93.7 kWh and about 620 km of CLTC range. Some later or variant-specific listings have used figures near 630 km, so published range can vary with configuration, wheels, tires, model-year presentation, or the particular listing being quoted.

CLTC is China’s laboratory driving cycle. It should not be presented as an EPA range figure, and it is not a promise that the SU7 Ultra will travel 620 km in normal mixed driving. High-speed cruising, cold weather, heavy use of cabin heating or air conditioning, elevation changes, wheel and tire selection, and repeated hard acceleration can all reduce practical range.

The car is designed to be usable as a long-distance sedan while also delivering very high output when conditions allow. Those are different operating conditions. A road trip driven conservatively can make use of the range rating; repeated launches or fast laps will consume energy much more quickly.
The reviewed material does not establish a charging time or a universally applicable charging-power figure, so it would be misleading to add one. Buyers would need to verify the exact charging hardware, connector compatibility, charging-network support, and regional software configuration for the market in which the car is registered.
Track engineering and the Nürburgring result
The SU7 Ultra’s track story is more substantial than a high-output motor specification. Xiaomi says the production car uses a track-optimized battery and cooling system shared conceptually with the prototype. The company also says the cooling design was intended to allow two Nürburgring Nordschleife laps without overheating. That is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified endurance conclusion.
On June 26, 2025, Xiaomi announced that a production SU7 Ultra equipped with the Track Package completed the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7:04.957. Xiaomi described this as a record for an electric executive vehicle.
The category wording is important. “Fastest electric executive vehicle” is narrower than “fastest production EV” or “fastest electric car.” The result also applies to the Track Package-equipped production car, not necessarily to the standard SU7 Ultra with different tires, suspension calibration, or aerodynamic equipment.
Nor should the earlier prototype’s faster Nürburgring performance be substituted for the production result. Prototypes can use different bodywork, tires, weight targets, suspension settings, software, and operating conditions. The relevant production-car figure is 7:04.957 for the Track Package configuration announced by Xiaomi.

What the Track Package changes conceptually
The Track Package is not a separate basic drivetrain. It is a factory performance configuration built around the same tri-motor concept but with equipment intended for more demanding circuit use. Xiaomi distinguishes it from the Nürburgring Limited Edition, which is positioned as the exclusive collector-oriented version.
Because equipment and calibration can differ, a buyer should not assume that every claim made about the Track Package applies to the standard car. Tires, suspension tuning, brakes, body components, battery behavior, and the balance between road comfort and circuit performance are all areas where variants can matter.

The cabin is where Xiaomi’s technology-company identity is most visible. Reported launch specifications include a 16.1-inch 3K central display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 computing hardware, and Xiaomi HyperOS. The result is a large-screen, software-led cockpit rather than a cabin built around a small number of traditional controls.
The performance theme is expressed through the materials and seating as well. Xiaomi describes sport seats with enhanced active side bolstering, along with extensive use of Alcantara-style microfiber trim. Chinese launch coverage also described a carbon-fiber steering wheel and Alcantara covering intended to help reduce hand slip during aggressive driving.
Depending on the configuration, the visual language can include contrast details, yellow belts or accents, carbon-fiber elements, deeply bolstered seats, and performance-focused trim. Those details make the Ultra feel different from a conventional executive sedan, even though its large displays and connected software are aimed at daily use.
It is safer to describe the SU7 Ultra as a high-tech luxury-oriented performance cockpit than to claim that it matches the craftsmanship or material quality of a particular European luxury brand. That would require direct comparative testing. Xiaomi’s defensible distinction is the combination of high-performance hardware and consumer-electronics-style interface design.

Chinese launch coverage identifies Xiaomi’s intelligent-driving system as Xiaomi HAD, an end-to-end, full-scenario driver-assistance system. It was described as standard equipment on the SU7 Ultra, with rollout and full-push timing discussed for the Chinese market.

“Full-scenario” does not mean fully autonomous. Xiaomi HAD should be treated as a driver-assistance system that may help with supported driving tasks, not as a system that turns the car into a self-driving vehicle. The driver remains responsible for monitoring the road, supervising the system, and taking control when necessary.
Capability, availability, mapped-road support, software behavior, and legal permissions can vary by country. A Chinese-market description of Xiaomi HAD should not be treated as evidence of equivalent performance or regulatory status in the United States. Nor should the system be casually compared with a U.S.-market autonomous-driving product without matching the specific functions and approval status.

Xiaomi officially launched the production SU7 Ultra in China on February 27, 2025. The official starting price for the standard model was RMB 529,900.
Xiaomi’s June 26, 2025 announcement listed the following China-market prices:

These prices should not be converted into an implied U.S. retail price. Taxes, shipping, homologation, distribution, warranty provision, import costs, dealer margins, and local equipment requirements could materially change the final figure.
The official material reviewed confirms the Chinese launch and Xiaomi’s global-language communications about the model. It does not establish a U.S. retail launch, U.S. safety certification, a U.S. warranty, or an authorized U.S. dealer network. For American readers, the SU7 Ultra should therefore be treated as a China-market vehicle unless Xiaomi later announces a specific local launch.
What importing one would involve
Importing a performance EV is more complicated than finding a seller willing to ship the car. A potential buyer would need to investigate local registration and safety requirements, charging compatibility, parts availability, service expertise, software-region restrictions, insurance, and warranty support. A vehicle appearing at an international technology event or in global Xiaomi communications is not proof that it can be legally purchased and registered in a particular country.

Early demand and later sales reports
Demand reporting around the March 2025 delivery start described firm orders reaching approximately 19,000 units. Later reporting cited a much lower monthly figure—45 units in December 2025. Those numbers come from different reporting layers and should not be treated as a complete, audited global sales history.
The contrast is still useful. The SU7 Ultra occupies a narrow and expensive performance segment, so early enthusiasm, production timing, order conversion, and later monthly deliveries may tell different stories. Xiaomi’s broader SU7 and YU7 lineups may also account for substantially more of the company’s automotive volume. A single later monthly figure does not, by itself, prove that the model failed or that the entire Xiaomi EV program lost demand.
For collectors: the official 1:18 model
For readers who want a tangible connection to the car, the official Xiaomi SU7 Ultra model is a more honest product angle than a generic charger, tire, brake component, or phone accessory. Xiaomi describes the official 1:18 die-cast collectible as having Lightning Yellow paint, opening doors, an opening hood and trunk, steerable front wheels, and design details derived from the full-size SU7 Ultra.
Availability needs to be stated carefully. The official product exists, but the research pass did not verify a reliable exact-model Amazon.com listing or establish that it is currently shippable to U.S. customers. Buyers should confirm the seller, licensing or authenticity, stock, shipping destination, scale, and return terms before ordering. The model is a collectible representation of the vehicle—not evidence that the full-size SU7 Ultra is sold or supported in the buyer’s country.
What makes the SU7 Ultra significant?
The headline acceleration is impressive, but the more durable story is Xiaomi’s attempt to combine several industries in one product:
- Performance engineering: a 1,548 PS tri-motor AWD layout, a claimed 350 km/h design speed, and dedicated thermal hardware.
- Track credibility: a manufacturer-announced 7:04.957 Nürburgring Nordschleife time for a production car with the Track Package.
- Everyday usability: a sedan body, a roughly 93.7 kWh battery, and approximately 620 km of CLTC range in the launch-era specification.
- Consumer-electronics integration: HyperOS, Snapdragon 8295 hardware, large displays, and Xiaomi HAD driver assistance.
- Brand ecosystem strategy: an effort to make the car part of a broader Xiaomi technology environment rather than an isolated vehicle product.
The trade-off is that the car’s most attractive claims are highly configuration- and market-dependent. The best Nürburgring hardware is not necessarily the most comfortable daily setup. CLTC range is not a real-world promise. Xiaomi HAD is not autonomous driving. And the China-market price cannot be assumed to survive an international import process unchanged.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is a technically ambitious China-market performance EV, not simply a sedan with a fast launch-control number. Its strongest defensible story is the combination of tri-motor power, track-focused cooling, a production Track Package Nürburgring result, Xiaomi software, and a high-tech cabin. For U.S. readers, the main practical limitation is availability: the reviewed material does not confirm local sales, warranty support, or road-legal importation. The most straightforward related purchase is Xiaomi’s 1:18 scale model, provided its seller and regional availability are verified.
