The Royal Enfield Scram 411’s clearest strength is its defined role: an urban-oriented, agility-focused motorcycle built from the Himalayan’s adventure lineage. Its published specifications support that positioning, but they do not prove it is objectively better than the Himalayan, the later Scram 440, or earlier Scram 411 versions. Whether it is “better” depends on what a rider values—especially manageable dimensions, a 19-inch front wheel, and a simple five-speed setup.
What makes the Scram 411 different?
Royal Enfield introduced the Scram 411 as a road-focused interpretation of the Himalayan’s versatility, rather than as a direct replacement for every kind of adventure motorcycle. The company’s launch statement described the Himalayan as inspiration for a motorcycle reimagined in a “more young, modern-day, urban context.” That is the manufacturer’s design rationale, not an independent performance finding. Royal Enfield’s launch announcement and its technical material describe the Scram 411 as “a multi-purpose tool optimised for agility.”
For a rider who spends more time on city streets and ordinary roads than on demanding trails, that intent can be appealing. The model combines a relatively low seat with a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. Those details help explain its positioning; they do not, by themselves, establish how it handles or whether it outperforms another motorcycle.

Specifications vary by market page and measurement basis. The Japan-market figures below are published by Royal Enfield Japan; the Philippines page publishes a separate kerb-weight figure and fuel-efficiency claim.

Royal Enfield Philippines lists 24.3 BHP at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm at 4,250 ± 250 rpm, using its own unit convention and torque range. It gives a kerb weight of 185 kg. The two regional weight listings should not be averaged or treated as interchangeable: the pages differ in market and in how the weight is described. See the Philippines Scram 411 page for its published figures.
What mileage does the Scram 411 get?
Royal Enfield Philippines publishes 33.33 km/L as the Scram 411’s CMVR fuel-efficiency figure. This is a manufacturer-published figure, not an observed real-world result. The same page cautions that weather and riding style affect mileage, so an individual rider’s fuel economy may differ.

Does “better than ever” hold up?
The available official specifications and product descriptions establish what Royal Enfield designed the Scram 411 to be, but they do not establish a measured improvement over another model or generation. A meaningful comparison with a Himalayan 411 or another Scram would need consistent evidence on intended use and ergonomics, suspension and wheel setup, engine and gearbox, weight basis, brakes and electronics, plus local availability and parts support. The cited Scram pages do not provide that full side-by-side comparison.
So the most defensible case for calling the Scram 411 “better” is personal and use-specific: it may suit someone seeking the Himalayan-derived concept in a more urban-oriented package. Riders prioritising a documented head-to-head advantage, trail capability, or a particular later-generation upgrade would need comparable specifications or independent testing before drawing that conclusion.
