Jeep’s hidden design details are usually small motifs tucked into lights, mirrors, speakers, wheels, the base of the windshield, floor mats, rear glass, molded panel surfaces, or the area around the wipers. Which motif you will find depends on the model, so start with the spots Jeep’s own guide points to for each vehicle, then check them on your car.
What Jeep means by an Easter egg
Jeep’s official brand guide, published in Bulgarian, describes these details as small design elements placed into vehicle styling. In English, the guide’s wording translates roughly as: “small design details, placed with imagination and a smile, that recall the brand’s roots, legends of the road, and the freedom to discover new horizons.” The guide does not state a publication date, so the age of the page is unknown.
The guide presents these motifs as examples, not as a standard feature list. It uses qualifying language such as “many models” and “some models,” and it does not give an inventory by model year, trim level, or market. Treat the locations below as places to inspect, not guarantees.
The motifs Jeep names and where it says to look
Miniature seven-slot grille
Jeep says its first Easter egg was a small seven-slot grille hidden in the design of the Wrangler in 1997. According to the guide, grille engravings can appear in headlights, mirrors, and speakers. For the Jeep Avenger TNF, the guide asks readers to look for a hidden grille. Start with the headlight lenses and the inside of the speaker grilles, then check the mirror housings.

Willys silhouette
The guide says designers sometimes place a miniature silhouette of the Willys, the vehicle that helped define the original Jeep, on wheels, at the base of the windshield, or on floor mats. For the Avenger TNF, the guide specifically suggests checking the windows and wheels. Look at the wheel faces and hubcap areas, the lower edge of the windshield, and the floor mats when the mats are out of the vehicle.
Bigfoot
Jeep says a Bigfoot silhouette appears on some Renegade and Cherokee models. The guide describes it as potentially climbing on the rear glass or hidden in relief on panel surfaces. It dates the first Renegade examples of this motif to 2015. Because the guide does not say which trims carry it, check the rear window first, then run your hand and eye along molded body panels in good light.

Gecko and spider
According to the guide, a small gecko can be found beneath the wipers or inside some Compass and Wrangler vehicles. It also mentions a spider on the Renegade fuel cap bearing the phrase “Ciao, Baby!” The gecko is the one to look for under the wiper arms and in interior trim on those two models; the spider is a fuel-cap detail on the Renegade.
A practical inspection routine
Work through the car in a fixed order so you do not miss a spot. Good light matters more than any tool: a phone flashlight held at a low angle will reveal molded relief that looks flat in direct overhead light.

What the guide does not establish
The guide is not a complete catalog. It does not confirm which motif appears on a specific model year, trim, or regional market, and it does not list every location for every vehicle. If you do not find a motif in the places listed, that does not mean it is absent from your car; check your model’s specific documentation or a dealer. Use the guide to narrow your search, and let the vehicle itself settle the question.
