It updates the SUV’s exterior, suspension, cabin and rear-passenger technology. Tesla also claims better range and less cabin noise, but those figures are manufacturer claims—not independent test results. The changes are documented; current prices, trims and delivery timing depend on your market and should be checked in Tesla’s local configurator.
What does “Model Y Juniper” mean?
It refers to the 2025 redesign of the Tesla Model Y. Tesla’s overview, published April 1, 2025 and marked last updated December 12, 2025, describes the vehicle’s design and equipment changes. Tesla said North American deliveries began in March 2025 and that the refreshed Model Y was being produced at all four of its factories. Those dated statements do not establish current availability or delivery timing in any particular country. Tesla’s overview of the new Model Y is the source for the changes and figures below.
What changed on the refreshed Model Y?
Exterior design
Tesla describes a lower nose, full-width front lightbar, revised front fascia and aerodynamic ducts. At the rear, it lists a new lightbar, redesigned tailgate, spoiler and rear fascia. Tesla says the changes target aerodynamic efficiency and stability; it does not provide independent aerodynamic test results in the overview.
Ride and chassis
The company says the refresh has a stiffer body structure, redesigned suspension geometry and kinematics, and damping technology borrowed from the upgraded Model 3. Tesla’s stated aim is a more comfortable, quieter ride while retaining agility and handling. These are manufacturer descriptions, not an independent road test.

Cabin comfort and materials
Tesla highlights wraparound multicolor ambient lighting, revised console and trim materials, acoustic glass, and ventilated front seats. It also says the second-row cushions and bolsters are more comfortable and that the rear seats recline under power.
Rear-passenger technology
An 8-inch touchscreen for second-row passengers handles climate controls, gaming and streaming, according to Tesla. The company also lists dual Bluetooth connectivity and two 65-watt USB outlets.

Practical details
Tesla describes a front-trunk drain plug and a separate accessory system. The tow-hitch cover uses quarter-turn fasteners.
What performance and comfort figures does Tesla publish?
Every figure in the table is a Tesla-published claim from its overview, not an independently verified result. The range and acceleration figures are specific to the All-Wheel Drive trim shown in that overview; they are not specifications for every Juniper configuration or market.

Tesla summarizes its comparison this way: “New Model Y also has 5% more range with the same battery energy and more comfortable ride handling compared to earlier Model Y vehicles.” Treat the statement as the manufacturer’s claim rather than a result from independent testing.
What should you check before buying?
Use Tesla’s current configurator for your country. The overview’s dated production and delivery statements do not confirm today’s price, inventory, available trims or delivery windows. Compare the exact local configuration rather than assuming the AWD figures above apply to every Model Y called Juniper.

Which floor mats fit the 2025+ Model Y?
Tesla’s shop lists Model Y Carpet Interior Mats as compatible with Model Y vehicles produced in 2025 or later. The listing describes stain- and soil-resistant cushioned mats and says the set covers the driver and passenger areas in the first row and the second row. Check the live listing for current stock and fitment details.
If you consider third-party all-weather mats, search for “Tesla Model Y Juniper all-weather floor mats” and confirm the seller’s exact fitment against your vehicle’s production year and configuration. Marketplace listings and their compatibility claims can change; no aftermarket brand or product is established here as tested. Tesla’s 2025+ Model Y Owner’s Manual says accessories may affect expected range or vehicle dimensions, may not be available in every market, and that Tesla cannot assess parts made by other distributors. Tesla recommends genuine parts and accessories and warns that non-approved parts or modifications may affect performance or occupant safety. This is Tesla’s guidance; it is not an independent assessment of every aftermarket item.
