Honda’s U.S. listings show 2026 Passport, CR-V, HR-V and Prelude Hybrid models, but the available Honda announcements do not establish one release covering all of them. The closest multi-model update is Honda’s Tokyo Auto Salon 2026 display: it included a Prelude HRC concept, a Passport TrailSport Elite reference exhibit and TrailSport HRC concepts, including one based on the CR-V. Those show vehicles are not confirmation of production trims or equipment.
Is this one Honda announcement?
No single Honda release identified here covers the Passport, CR-V, HR-V, Prelude and other models as one announcement. Honda’s January 9, 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon announcement is the closest multi-model item, but it focuses on concepts and an exhibit rather than a complete U.S. model-line update.
Honda called the Prelude display a concept: “The Prelude HRC Concept is a concept model equipped with HRC Performance Parts.” The same announcement listed a Passport TrailSport Elite as a North American reference exhibit and TrailSport HRC concepts based on SUV models including the CR-V. Honda also said its Trail Line was scheduled as a new line of production models; that does not mean each HRC concept shown is a production trim. The announcement does not present the HR-V as part of this group.

These are Honda’s displayed U.S. starting prices and mileage ratings, not a like-for-like equipment comparison. Trim, configuration and feature availability should be checked in Honda’s current model and shopping tools before making a purchase decision. Honda’s dedicated Prelude page also advertises 46/41 MPG; the figure is manufacturer-stated, not an independent test result.
What to expect from the Prelude
Production hybrid, separate from the HRC concept
The Prelude Hybrid is a production model in Honda’s U.S. lineup. The HRC concept shown in Tokyo is a distinct concept vehicle, so its performance parts and styling should not be treated as confirmed equipment for the production Prelude.

Honda’s stated powertrain and chassis details
In its September 4, 2025 launch announcement, American Honda described the Prelude as having a two-motor hybrid-electric powertrain, Civic Type R chassis components and Honda S+ Shift. These are the manufacturer’s descriptions, not independent performance findings. The release’s original prediction that the car would reach dealerships in late fall 2025 is historical timing; Honda now lists the car as a 2026 model.
What Honda says is changing on the 2026 CR-V
American Honda’s 2026 CR-V announcement describes a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, wireless phone charging, revised 18-inch wheel designs and a TrailSport-exclusive Ash Green Metallic color. Do not assume every item is standard on every CR-V: check the model-year and trim-specific guide for the configuration you are considering.

What the Passport materials establish
Honda’s 2026 Passport brochure positions the SUV for both commuting and backroad exploration and points buyers to Honda Genuine Accessories. That supports checking Honda’s accessory catalog when shopping, but it does not verify any particular accessory, third-party product or fitment. Confirm compatibility for the exact model year and trim before buying or installing an item.
