Toyota introduced it in April 2025 as a flagship for its China-market bZ lineup. GAC Toyota’s catalog lists a starting suggested retail price of RMB 169,800; launch reports cite configuration-dependent CLTC ranges of 600, 700 and 710 km. Those figures describe Chinese-market pricing and test-cycle claims, not a confirmed price or real-world range elsewhere.
What is the Toyota bZ7?
The bZ7 is a large, all-electric sedan developed locally for China. Toyota introduced it at Auto Shanghai on April 23, 2025, describing it as more than five meters long and as a flagship for its Chinese battery-electric vehicle lineup. Development involved Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC), Guangzhou Toyota Motor (GTMC) and Intelligent ElectroMobility R&D Center by Toyota (China), or IEM by Toyota. Toyota positioned the car as a combination of Toyota manufacturing and Chinese technology partners’ expertise. Toyota’s announcement said it would proceed toward commercialization within a year.
The model is sold in China under the name 铂智7 (bZ7) in GAC Toyota’s catalog. It is not simply a global Toyota model with confirmed availability in every market: its development, launch and listed price are China-specific.
How much does the Toyota bZ7 cost?
GAC Toyota’s catalog currently lists the bZ7 at a suggested retail price starting at RMB 169,800. This is a China-market price, not a quote for another country, and the catalog can change. Check GAC Toyota’s bZ7 catalog for the latest listed figure.

That catalog price should not be conflated with launch promotions. CnEVPost reported limited-time pricing of RMB 147,800 to RMB 199,800 after incentives when the model launched in March 2026. The report describes a promotional price range, distinct from the manufacturer catalog’s starting suggested retail price. CnEVPost’s launch report also reported more than 10,000 pre-sale orders; that is a time-specific order claim, not a current sales total or proof of sustained demand.
What is the Toyota bZ7’s range?
CarNewsChina reported claimed CLTC-cycle ranges of 600 km, 700 km and 710 km across five configurations. These are China’s stated test-cycle figures, not independent road-test results or a guarantee of distance in everyday driving. Actual range varies with speed, temperature, terrain, climate-control use, load and driving style. CLTC figures should not be compared directly with a range rating from another test cycle without accounting for the different procedures. CarNewsChina’s launch coverage reports the configuration and range figures.

These are reported features, and availability can vary by trim or software; the reports do not establish that every version includes every item. Toyota’s partner model is clear: the bZ7 is a locally developed Toyota vehicle that draws on Chinese technology companies rather than relying only on Toyota-branded systems.
CarNewsChina’s launch report lists 71.35 kWh and 88.13 kWh LFP battery capacities, a stated peak output of 207 kW and 3C charging claims. These are reported China-market specifications; consult the final trim-specific specification sheet before relying on a particular battery, output or charging figure.

Those are attributed launch terms, not a substitute for the current written warranty. Eligibility, exclusions and local service coverage determine what protection a buyer actually receives.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the Toyota bZ7 coming to other countries?
The bZ7 was presented and launched for China. At the Guangzhou show in November 2025, GAC Toyota said the car was not yet available outside China. That dated statement does not establish its availability today or rule out a later export. GAC Toyota’s November 2025 release described the vehicle as its all-electric flagship sedan and noted the outside-China status at that time.
