No—not as a verified, present-tense claim. Lexus announced a 2026 LC 500 coupe with a naturally aspirated V8, but its current U.S. site says the LC line has been retired. Available information does not establish that the LC 500 was the only qualifying luxury coupe in the entire U.S. market, nor does it establish whether unsold examples remain at dealerships.
What the 2026 Lexus LC 500 coupe offered
Lexus announced the 2026 LC 500 on July 18, 2025, describing it as the brand’s flagship sports coupe. Its defining feature was a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 paired with a 10-speed Direct-Shift automatic transmission.
- Power: 471 hp and 398 lb.-ft. of peak torque, according to Lexus.
- Acceleration: Lexus quoted a 0–60 mph time of 4.4 seconds.
- Fuel economy: Lexus estimated 24 mpg on the highway.
- Announced starting price: $101,800 including delivery, processing, and handling. Lexus’s announcement specified a $1,550 delivery, processing, and handling fee.
These are manufacturer-published specifications, performance and fuel-economy claims, and announced pricing—not independent test results or a statement of current transaction prices. A limited Inspiration Series
Lexus announced a 2026 Inspiration Series coupe allocation of 200 units for North America—not 200 units specifically for the United States. The package included Smoke Matte Gray paint, a carbon-fiber roof, 21-inch matte-black forged wheels, a white-and-black interior treatment, and additional equipment. Lexus USA, 2025.

Is Lexus still making the LC 500?
Lexus’s current U.S. LC page says, “While the LC line has been retired.” That makes it inaccurate to describe the LC as an ongoing current-production model without qualification. The page does not give an exact final production date, and the available information does not establish how many new LC 500s, if any, remain in dealer inventory. Lexus USA LC page.
So “left” needs a time frame and a meaning: a car still in production, a new model offered for a particular model year, or an unsold car available from a dealer are different things. The evidence supports discussing the 2026 model-year LC 500 coupe; it does not establish present-day inventory.

Does “the only” claim hold up?
The LC 500 fits the central description for the 2026 model year: it was a luxury sports coupe with a naturally aspirated V8. But the available competitor information is not a complete census of U.S.-market luxury coupes and grand tourers, so it cannot prove that no other qualifying model existed. The most defensible description is that the 2026 LC 500 was a rare naturally aspirated V8 luxury coupe—not that it was definitively the only one.
Category boundaries also matter. Bentley describes the Continental GT as using an Ultra Performance Hybrid V8, while Mercedes-Benz describes the AMG GT 4-Door Coupé as having a biturbo V8 and an electric rear motor. Those examples are not naturally aspirated V8-only configurations, and the Mercedes is a four-door. Why the LC 500 Convertible is a separate case
The 2026 LC 500 Convertible shared the 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8, rated by Lexus at 471 hp and 398 lb.-ft., and the 10-speed automatic. Lexus quoted a 0–60 mph time of 4.6 seconds for the convertible. It is a soft-top convertible, however, and does not count as a coupe under a strict reading of the headline.
