The outlets are planned, not confirmed open: the announcement gives no opening dates, dealer names, India launch date or confirmed scooter lineup.
What VinFast announced
In an announcement dated 8 October 2026, VinFast said it had signed LOIs with its first 50-plus e-motorcycle dealer partners in India. The company and its partners plan to establish more than 50 showrooms in 34 cities across 15 states and territories. VinFast described the initiative as its first dedicated distribution network for e-motorcycles in India.

The signing ceremony took place at VinFast’s manufacturing complex in Hai Phong, Vietnam, during a visit by the Indian dealer partners. The announcement follows VinFast’s entry into India’s green-mobility market in 2025 through electric-car distribution, manufacturing and assembly activities.
Where the planned showrooms could be
VinFast listed the following states and territories as part of the planned footprint:

The announcement does not identify the 34 cities or say which specific locations will receive a showroom. It also does not name the dealer partners. The state and territory list therefore describes the intended geographic reach, not a directory of operating outlets.
What the LOIs mean for buyers
An LOI signals an intention to work toward a dealership arrangement; it is not proof that a showroom has opened or is ready to sell and support vehicles. VinFast’s announcement establishes a planned network, but does not give an operational outlet count, dealer identities, booking availability, delivery dates or service capacity.

VinFast says it is building charging infrastructure and strengthening after-sales support. Those are company plans, not confirmation that charging or service is already available at every proposed location. Buyers will need later, location-specific announcements to establish where they can visit, buy or obtain service.

Launch date and scooter models remain unconfirmed
The LOI announcement does not provide an India launch date or confirm which electric two-wheelers will be sold in the country. Autocar India reported that the Viper and Rasad could be candidates for an initial lineup, but presented them as expected possibilities after design patent filings—not as confirmed India launch products (Autocar India, 8 October 2026). The LOIs alone do not establish model specifications, prices or delivery timing.

What VinFast says about the Indian market
VinFast’s 8 October 2026 release cites 21.41 million two-wheelers registered in India in FY2025–26 and says electric vehicles accounted for 6.54% of them. These are figures attributed to the company; they have not been independently verified here as government registration statistics.
Vo Thi Cam Tu, Managing Director of VinFast E-Scooters Overseas Market, described India as an important market for the company’s global growth and said the LOIs reflected its long-term commitment and confidence in the market. Anurag Saxena, CEO of VinFast India E-Scooters, called the dealer partnerships the beginning of the company’s effort to bring its e-motorcycles across India, adding that it was building charging infrastructure and strengthening after-sales services. These statements express the company’s intentions and outlook, not proof that the planned customer support is already in place.
What to watch for next
To judge how the plan turns into a usable retail and service network, look for updates that distinguish planned activity from completed rollout:
