V8s are confirmed for several 2026 and 2027 vehicles, including the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups, and Chevrolet Corvette. That makes them candidates to carry the engine into the next decade—not guarantees: the manufacturers have not committed these vehicles to production through 2030.
What the 2030 claim can—and cannot—mean
The vehicles below show that major automakers have announced or listed V8 powertrains for model years 2026 and 2027. None of the cited announcements guarantees production in 2030 or beyond. Model-year availability can change, and the 2027 specifications are manufacturer claims, not independent test results.
The title’s “10” also needs a counting rule. The available confirmed examples include multiple variants of the same vehicle family, not ten distinct nameplates. To avoid implying a broader roster than the evidence supports, this guide counts each named model or variant separately and identifies the family it belongs to. The list therefore contains six entries across four vehicle families; it is not a verified list of ten distinct nameplates.

Why these V8s remain in the lineup
Pickups: broad availability and heavy-duty work
Ford’s 2027 F-150 announcement matters because the 5.0-liter V8 is slated to return to King Ranch and Platinum, expanding its availability across the lineup. GM’s announced 2027 Silverado and Sierra V8s show a different rationale: a continued place for gasoline V8s in light- and heavy-duty pickups, including the specified 6.6-liter HD engine. These announcements demonstrate product plans for 2027, not a forecast of sales or long-term production.
Off-road performance: the Raptor R
The 2026 F-150 Raptor R represents the high-output, off-road-performance case. Ford lists its supercharged 5.2-liter V8 at 720 hp and 640 lb-ft. Those figures describe the manufacturer’s published configuration, not measured performance in a particular test.

Sports cars: Corvette identity and power
Chevrolet’s announcement makes the 6.7-liter LS6 standard in three 2027 Corvette versions: Stingray, Grand Sport, and Grand Sport X. These announcements make it plausible that V8s will remain part of the market as 2030 approaches, especially in pickups and sports cars, but they do not establish that any specific model will still be built then. The cited sources offer no production forecast, market-wide count, or manufacturer promise extending to 2030. Treat “beyond” as a possibility, not a confirmed product timeline.

If you are shopping, check the model year and exact configuration rather than relying on a nameplate alone. The 2027 Corvette engine announcement, for example, applies to the three versions named above; the F-150 and Silverado/Sierra announcements likewise refer to particular model years and engine offerings. Final specifications, order windows, and inventory may vary by market.
