Tremor Nation: Every Ford Rocking the Off-Road Badge in 2026

Ford’s 2026 U.S. Tremor lineup includes Maverick, F-150, Super Duty, Explorer, and Expedition. Here’s what each Ford Tremor is built to do, how the models differ, and why Ranger Tremor is not currently offered in the United States.

Every Ford rocking the off-road badge in the United States as of August 14, 2026, falls into five Tremor entries: Maverick, F-150, Super Duty, Explorer, and Expedition. Ford does not offer a 2026 Ranger Tremor in America; the announced Ranger Tremor is for South American markets beginning in late 2026.

That list spans a compact pickup, two full-size truck classes, a midsize SUV, and a large three-row SUV. Tremor is a factory off-road identity, not one uniform vehicle, so the right choice depends on towing, payload, passenger space, daily usability, and terrain.

Key takeaways

  • As of August 14, 2026, Ford’s United States Tremor family contains five vehicles: Maverick, F-150, Super Duty, Explorer, and Expedition.
  • The 2026 Maverick Tremor is the compact choice, with standard 2,000-pound towing and maximum available payload of 1,140 pounds.
  • The F-150 Tremor is the broadest full-size pickup compromise, while the Super Duty Tremor is the work-focused choice for heavy towing, hauling, and difficult terrain.
  • The 2026 Explorer Tremor is a midsize SUV with standard Intelligent 4WD, 385 horsepower, and maximum towing of 5,000 pounds.
  • The Expedition Tremor is the largest option, combining three-row space with 440 horsepower, 510 lb-ft of torque, and factory trail equipment.
  • There is no 2026 Ford Ranger Tremor in the United States; Ford has announced Ranger Tremor production for South American markets beginning in late 2026.

Every Ford rocking the off-road badge: the 2026 lineup

Ford’s current U.S. Tremor lineup includes the 2026 Maverick Tremor, 2026 F-150 Tremor, Super Duty Tremor Off-Road Package, 2026 Explorer Tremor, and 2026 Expedition Tremor. Tremor is not a single vehicle or one standardized mechanical package: Ford uses the name for everything from a compact unibody pickup to a heavy-duty truck and two SUVs.

The best Ford Tremor depends on the job. Choose Maverick for compact dimensions and light-duty adventure, F-150 for full-size versatility, Super Duty for serious work, Explorer for midsize SUV practicality, and Expedition for three-row space with factory off-road hardware.

What is the Ford Maverick Tremor best for?

The Ford Maverick Tremor is best for buyers who want the smallest, easiest-to-live-with Tremor rather than maximum towing or payload. The compact pickup combines Advanced 4WD with an off-road-tuned suspension, an electronic-locking rear drive unit, Trail Control with Trail 1-Pedal Drive, exposed front tow hooks, and 235/65R17 all-terrain tires.

According to Ford’s 2026 Maverick Tremor specifications, the truck has 2,000 pounds of standard towing capacity and 1,140 pounds of maximum available payload. Those figures make Maverick useful for small trailers, recreational equipment, and everyday hauling, but they do not put it in the same work category as Super Duty.

The Maverick Tremor’s advantage is its footprint. A compact truck is generally easier to park, easier to place on narrow access roads, and less intimidating for an owner who is new to off-road driving. The trade-off is that buyers must compare the Maverick on payload, towing, bed utility, fuel and operating burden, and expected trail severity rather than assuming the Tremor badge makes it equivalent to a larger truck.

Choose Maverick Tremor if: compact size, daily usability, light towing, camping access roads, dirt roads, mud, and moderate trails matter more than heavy loads.

What does the F-150 Tremor add?

The F-150 Tremor adds factory trail equipment to Ford’s full-size pickup platform. The package includes off-road-tuned front and rear shocks, unique Tremor control arms and front knuckles, an electronic-locking rear differential, selectable Mud/Rut and Rock Crawl modes, Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist, fuel-tank and transfer-case skid plates, and 275/70R18 all-terrain tires. Ford details the package on its official 2026 F-150 Tremor model page.

The F-150 Tremor occupies the middle of the family in mission, not necessarily in every specification. The Maverick is smaller and more approachable, while Super Duty is built around heavy-duty work. F-150 Tremor is the conventional full-size pickup for buyers who need a useful cab and bed, stronger work capability than Maverick, and purpose-built off-road equipment without stepping up to a heavy-duty truck.

Ford also gives the F-150 Tremor a unique hood, grille, exterior graphics, and orange-accented Tremor styling. Those visual details identify the package, but the more important reasons to choose it are the differential, suspension, tires, skid plates, terrain modes, and trail-control systems.

Choose F-150 Tremor if: you want one full-size pickup for commuting, hauling, recreation, towing, and factory-supported trail driving.

Why is the Super Duty Tremor different from the F-150 Tremor?

The Super Duty Tremor is different because it combines off-road equipment with a heavy-duty truck chassis and heavy-duty powertrain choices. Super Duty should be the starting point when towing, hauling, farm or ranch work, job-site use, and large loads come before compact dimensions or tight-trail maneuverability.

Ford’s current Super Duty Tremor Off-Road Package description lists 35-inch all-terrain tires, off-road-tuned front and rear suspension, 10.5 inches of ground clearance, Trail Turn Assist, Rock Crawl and Trail Control modes, skid plates, and water-fording vent tubes. Available engines include the 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel, high-output diesel, and 7.3-liter gas engines.

The Super Duty Tremor is therefore not simply an F-150 Tremor with larger tires. The platform, available engines, axle and cab configurations, wheelbase choices, towing requirements, and ownership costs all belong to a different class. Buyers should select the required trailer rating and payload configuration first, then decide whether Tremor equipment is the right off-road package.

Ford markets the Super Duty off-road choice with the phrase Fear No Terrain. That is Ford marketing language, not an independent test result. The practical takeaway is narrower: Super Duty Tremor is the Tremor for owners whose work demands a heavy-duty pickup and whose routes also include rough terrain.

Choose Super Duty Tremor if: heavy trailers, high payload, work sites, farm or ranch access, and difficult terrain are central requirements.

What does the Explorer Tremor offer?

The 2026 Explorer Tremor is a new-for-2026 midsize SUV interpretation of Ford’s off-road badge. Explorer Tremor has standard Intelligent 4WD, an off-road-tuned suspension with increased ride height, a Torsen limited-slip rear axle exclusive to Tremor models, six selectable drive modes, and an available 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6.

  • Item Package Dimensions: 10.2L x 11.3W x 25.3H cm

According to Ford’s 2026 Explorer Tremor specifications, the available V6 produces up to 385 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque, while maximum towing capacity is 5,000 pounds. The Torsen rear axle and off-road suspension are the key mechanical distinctions; Explorer Tremor is more than an appearance package.

Explorer Tremor is the midsize SUV choice for buyers who want trailhead access, rough-road ability, and usable passenger and cargo space without moving to the larger Expedition. Its smaller dimensions should make it a more natural fit for owners who regularly park in urban spaces or expect tighter trails, although the correct choice still depends on seating, cargo, towing, and terrain needs.

Choose Explorer Tremor if: you need SUV practicality and 5,000-pound towing but do not need Expedition’s largest cabin and three-row mission.

Is the Expedition Tremor bigger than the Explorer Tremor?

Yes. The Expedition Tremor is the larger, family-size SUV, while Explorer Tremor is the midsize option. Expedition is the better fit when three-row passenger capacity, cargo space, road-trip utility, and substantial towing matter more than maneuverability on narrow trails.

The 2026 Ford Expedition order guide identifies a 3.5-liter high-output engine rated at 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. Expedition Tremor also has 4WD, a 3.73 electronic-locking differential, modified higher-ride suspension with premium passive shocks, Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist, Rock Crawl mode, underbody fuel-tank protection, and Tremor-specific exterior badges.

Expedition’s larger body creates more room for people and cargo, but size is a trade-off on tight trails, in parking lots, and on narrow access routes. The right comparison is not simply Explorer versus Expedition horsepower. Compare the number of seats required, towing needs, cargo volume, operating burden, overall dimensions, and the terrain where the SUV will actually be driven.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Choose Expedition Tremor if: three-row space, family travel, cargo capacity, and high-output towing ability are more important than the smallest possible trail footprint.

How do the Ford Tremor models compare for towing and off-roading?

Ford’s Tremor models serve different missions, so the best off-road choice is not automatically the model with the most power. Maverick is the light-duty entry point, F-150 provides full-size pickup balance, Super Duty pairs trail equipment with heavy-duty work capability, Explorer offers midsize SUV maneuverability, and Expedition prioritizes family space and towing.

Buyer priority Best starting point Why Main trade-off
Smallest daily driver Maverick Tremor Compact pickup format with Advanced 4WD and trail equipment Lower towing and payload ceiling than larger trucks
Balanced full-size pickup F-150 Tremor Full-size bed and cabin with locking differential, skid plates, and trail modes Less heavy-duty work capability than Super Duty
Heavy towing and hauling Super Duty Tremor Heavy-duty chassis, diesel availability, 35-inch tires, and work-focused capability Greater size and ownership burden; less suited to tight trails
Midsize SUV use Explorer Tremor Standard Intelligent 4WD, Torsen rear axle, and 5,000-pound towing Less interior and cargo space than Expedition
Three-row family utility Expedition Tremor Large SUV space, 440 hp, 510 lb-ft, and factory trail controls Larger dimensions can be harder to place on narrow trails

Trail hardware worth comparing includes the 4WD system, differential type, suspension tuning, tire size and tread, skid-plate coverage, drive modes, Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist, ground clearance, and recovery needs. Daily usability matters just as much: parking, ride comfort, passenger space, cargo access, bed length, fuel or operating burden, and the cost of replacing tires or adding towing equipment.

Is there a Ford Ranger Tremor in the United States?

There is no 2026 Ford Ranger Tremor in the United States. Ford’s 2026 U.S. Ranger order guide lists XL, XLT, Lariat, and Raptor, not Ranger Tremor.

Ford has separately announced Ranger Tremor production in Argentina for South American markets beginning in late 2026. That announcement is an international-market development and does not mean that U.S. shoppers can order a Ranger Tremor through the American Ford lineup.

Can you buy a Ford Tremor badge or emblem?

Yes. Ford’s parts catalog lists a Tailgate Emblem Nameplate Decal (TREMOR PACK) and a Fender Emblem Name Plate – Right (Tremor Series). A replacement emblem can make sense after bodywork or damage, but a badge does not add the suspension, differential, tires, skid plates, or drive modes associated with a factory Tremor package.

For marketplace searches, a Ford Tremor badge emblem or Tremor nameplate replacement is the most direct product category. Check the model year, vehicle model, emblem position, attachment method, and part number before buying. Maverick, F-150, Super Duty, Explorer, and Expedition badges are not automatically interchangeable.

Owners should also match accessories to the vehicle rather than search for a universal “Tremor accessory.” Maverick owners may need bed mats, bed dividers, tonneau covers, or cargo organizers. F-150 and Super Duty owners may be looking for bed protection, recovery equipment, winch-related equipment, towing hardware, or replacement all-terrain tires. Explorer and Expedition owners may prioritize cargo protection, towing equipment, and SUV-specific trail gear.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Which Ford Tremor should you choose?

Choose the Ford Tremor that matches the vehicle format and job, not the one with the most imposing badge. Maverick Tremor is the compact adventure pickup; F-150 Tremor is the broadest full-size pickup balance; Super Duty Tremor is the heavy-duty workhorse; Explorer Tremor is the midsize SUV alternative; and Expedition Tremor is the three-row family flagship.

  • Choose Maverick Tremor for compact size, light towing, easier parking, and moderate trail use.
  • Choose F-150 Tremor for a full-size pickup that balances work, recreation, towing, and trail equipment.
  • Choose Super Duty Tremor when towing, hauling, diesel availability, and heavy-duty chassis capability come first.
  • Choose Explorer Tremor for midsize SUV practicality, standard Intelligent 4WD, and up to 5,000 pounds of towing.
  • Choose Expedition Tremor when three-row space, cargo capacity, and 440-hp high-output performance matter most.

Ford’s Tremor badge signals factory off-road intent, but the badge alone does not determine the best vehicle. The correct Tremor depends on payload and towing requirements, family and cargo needs, vehicle size, trail width, daily driving, and the amount of factory hardware required.

Is there a Ford Ranger Tremor in the US?

No. The 2026 U.S. Ranger order guide lists XL, XLT, Lariat, and Raptor, not Ranger Tremor. Ford has announced Ranger Tremor production for South American markets beginning in late 2026.

Is the Expedition Tremor bigger than the Explorer Tremor?

Explorer Tremor is a midsize SUV, while Expedition Tremor is a larger three-row SUV. Expedition provides more family and cargo space and has a 440-hp, 510-lb-ft high-output engine, while Explorer is the more compact choice with up to 385 horsepower and 5,000-pound towing.

Can I buy a Tremor badge or emblem?

Yes. Ford lists Tremor tailgate and fender nameplate parts, but compatibility varies by vehicle model year, model, emblem location, and part number. A replacement badge does not add the mechanical equipment of a factory Tremor package.

The Bottom Line

The best Ford Tremor is mission-dependent: Maverick for compact light-duty adventure, F-150 for full-size balance, Super Duty for serious work, Explorer for midsize SUV trail use, and Expedition for three-row family utility. The 2026 U.S. lineup does not include a Ranger Tremor.
