Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteThe Tiger Panthera is an integrated expedition camper built on Ford Super Duty chassis—not a removable slide-in camper—and Tiger currently lists it in three sizes: the 20-foot Panthera 200, the 22- to 24-foot 240, and the 28-foot 280. Listed starting prices run from $169,000 to $275,000, but the price basis differs by model and configuration, so buyers should request a build quote and verify the finished truck’s payload and towing limits.
What is the Tiger Panthera?
The Panthera is a motorhome-style coach mounted to a Ford Super Duty truck, with a pass-through connecting the coach to the cab. That makes it fundamentally different from a conventional slide-in truck camper that can be removed from the pickup bed. Tiger Adventure Vehicles describes its construction as a rigid unibody mount with aluminum connections, a welded superstructure, insulated coach and fiberglass exterior components. Those are manufacturer descriptions, not independent durability or safety test results. Tiger Adventure Vehicles’ current Panthera lineup also lists integration of the truck’s 360-degree camera into the camper.
How the Panthera 200, 240 and 280 compare
The current lineup consists of three substantially different builds, rather than trim levels on one identical truck. Their footprint, chassis choices, sleeping and bathroom layouts, and stated price basis all vary.
| Model | Chassis listed by Tiger | Dry weight and length | Layout and distinguishing features | Starting price listed by Tiger |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Panthera 200 | F-350 single- or extended-cab | 9,000–10,000 lb; 20 ft | Full-size bed plus couch or convertible dinette; wet bath; smallest and lightest model, pitched for tighter campsites | $169,000, plus chassis and camper options |
| Panthera 240 | F-350 single- or dual-rear-wheel, or F-450 dual-rear-wheel; extended or crew cab | 11,000–12,500 lb; 22–24 ft | North-south king bed plus couch or convertible dinette; wet bath; Tiger positions it as a balance of space, towing and off-grid capability | $179,000, plus chassis and camper options |
| Panthera 280 | F-550 crew cab | Approximately 14,000 lb; 28 ft | North-south king bed, rear dinette, dry bath and heated garage storage | $275,000, plus chassis |
These are Tiger’s listed starting configurations and prices; options, chassis and availability can change the finished build and its cost. The 200 and 240 prices explicitly exclude the chassis and camper options, while the 280 price is stated as plus chassis. Confirm the included equipment and final price directly with Tiger. Weight, payload and towing: what to check before choosing a model
A dry-weight figure is not the same as remaining payload or usable cargo capacity. Tiger lists gross vehicle weight ratings (GVWR) of 11,400 lb for the 200, 12,300–14,000 lb for the 240, and 18,000–19,000 lb for the 280. Because the chassis and coach options affect the finished vehicle, do not subtract a published dry weight from a GVWR and treat the result as a verified payload figure.
Tiger lists towing of 7,000–9,000 lb for the 200 and 9,000–10,000 lb for the 240. The Panthera 280 is described as having heavy towing capacity, but Tiger does not give a figure for it on the page. These are manufacturer-listed figures, not independent towing tests. Before purchase, confirm the actual truck’s certification, completed-build weight and towing limits with Tiger and the selected chassis details.

- Choose around the route and campsite: the 200 is the shortest and lightest listed model; the 240 adds length and a king-bed layout; the 280 is a 28-foot build with a larger living area and garage storage.
- Check the exact chassis and cab: the available configurations differ by model, and the 280 is listed on an F-550 crew cab.
- Match the bathroom and storage layout to your needs: the 200 and 240 have wet baths; the 280 has a dry bath and heated garage storage.
- Verify loaded capacity and towing for the completed vehicle: use its final specifications rather than assuming the published dry weight applies to every optioned build.
Living space and equipment
Tiger describes a galley with an induction cooktop, fridge/freezer, microwave, sink and cabinetry. The 200 and 240 are listed with wet baths that combine a shower and cassette toilet. The current product page describes an overhead queen bed, with a north-south king available as an option, and a dinette or couch that converts to another bed. Tiger says the layout can sleep up to four. The 280’s comparison entry instead specifies a dry bath, a north-south king bed and rear dinette.
Published power and water figures need to be read in their specific announcement context. In a March 4, 2026 announcement, Tiger described a Panthera configuration with 48 gallons of fresh water, 800 Ah of lithium batteries, 600 W of solar, Rixen hydronic heating and Arctic Tern windows. A later press listing for the Panthera 200 gives different figures—1,200 Ah of lithium and 78 gallons of water—and describes an overhead bed, skylight, couch, enclosed wet bath and pass-through. These announcements do not establish one universal specification for every Panthera model or build. Ask Tiger which equipment and capacities apply to the specific configuration being quoted. Tiger’s current product page remains the model comparison reference.

Why older Panthera launch coverage has different numbers
The original Panthera launch was covered by New Atlas on November 2, 2024, with a reported length of 22–26 feet, weight of 10,000–12,000 lb depending on chassis and trim, and a $179,000 starting price for the motorhome itself. Those are launch-era figures, not a current summary of all three models. Tiger’s current listing distinguishes the 200, 240 and 280 and gives different starting prices and price inclusions. New Atlas’ 2024 launch article is useful for the original introduction, while Tiger’s current page is the appropriate reference for today’s lineup.
