What is the closest documented Land Cruiser SEMA concept?
SEMA’s 2024 show recap identifies the CALTY Land Cruiser Recreation Open eXperience, or ROX, as one of Toyota’s builds. SEMA describes it as a reimagining of open-air, open-top Land Cruisers, with custom “skeleton” doors, a sliding soft top and a functional mid-gate. The recap does not identify it as a three-seat vehicle or call it Baja-ready.
SEMA’s 2024 show recap is the primary cited account for those ROX details. No power, weight or performance figures for the purported three-seat concept are established there.
Where does the Baja-ready description come from?
In the same recap, SEMA uses Baja-inspired language for a separate build: the 1994 Toyota Drift Truck. The recap describes its appearance as inspired by off-road Baja trucks and lists fiberglass bed sides, a custom front-end conversion and robust fenders. Those details belong to the Drift Truck, not the Land Cruiser ROX.

How does the 2025 Turbo Trail Cruiser differ?
Toyota’s announcement for SEMA 2025 describes another distinct Land Cruiser build, the Turbo Trail Cruiser. It combines a classic 1985 FJ60 Land Cruiser with Toyota’s i-FORCE 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6. It is not the 2024 ROX, and Toyota’s announcement does not establish the three-seat or Baja-ready claims in the title.

What production Land Cruiser owners should know
Toyota’s U.S. accessory brochure for the 2025 Land Cruiser lists categories including a high-strength steel front skid plate, rock rails and cross bars. These are production-vehicle accessories, not equipment established as part of the ROX concept. The brochure is based on mainland U.S. vehicle information; availability can vary in other regions, so check model-year and trim fitment before buying.

Toyota’s 2025 Land Cruiser accessory brochure is marked October 2024. It also notes that third-party accessories are not designed, manufactured or evaluated by Toyota.
