This editorial selection highlights five standout creations for their documented competition recognition, distinctive donor-car concepts, and disclosed engineering or fabrication work: the 2019 Battle of the Builders-winning 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, Valkyrja, UNKL, G-Code, and Madam V.
How this selection is judged
These builds are not presented as the only or universally agreed greatest Ringbrothers creations. The selection uses three documented points of distinction: competition recognition, an unusual design or donor-car concept, and specific engineering or fabrication details reported by SEMA.
Ringbrothers’ 2019 Battle of the Builders-winning Camaro
Mike and Jim Ring of Spring Green, Wisconsin, won the 2019 SEMA Battle of the Builders with a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. SEMA reported that the car beat nearly 300 entrants. The award report does not give this Camaro a build name, so it should not be confused with another Ringbrothers Camaro project. SEMA’s 2019 award announcement documents the result.
Valkyrja: a Camaro shaped by digital fabrication
Unveiled at the 2019 SEMA Show, Valkyrja is another Ringbrothers 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, distinguished by its use of modern design and manufacturing methods. SEMA described the build as producing 890 hp and reported that its development involved 3D scanning and CAD, with carbon fiber, 3D printing, and CNC machining used in the construction. These details make Valkyrja notable not simply as a reworked classic, but as a project that combined a 1969 silhouette with digitally enabled fabrication. SEMA’s Valkyrja feature provides the build details.

UNKL: a Mustang Mach 1 with a large-cube Boss engine
UNKL is a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 unveiled at the 2019 SEMA Show. SEMA reports a 520ci Jon Kaase Boss engine described as making 700 hp, paired with a reworked Bowler six-speed Tremec transmission. The feature also names a custom Flowmaster exhaust. Together, the disclosed powertrain choices give UNKL a clear mechanical identity alongside its classic Mustang body. The 700 hp figure is SEMA’s reported description, not an independent dynamometer result. SEMA’s UNKL feature covers the build.
Madam V: four cars behind one Cadillac
Madam V is a one-off Cadillac commissioned by Wes Rydell, bringing early Cadillac styling together with later design and technology. SEMA says Ringbrothers used four donor vehicles: two 1948 fastback coupes, a used 2015 ATS-V, and a new 2016 ATS-V. That combination of two generations—and four separate cars—makes Madam V one of the most distinctive concepts in this selection. SEMA’s 2016 Ringbrothers profile describes the project.

G-Code: a 1969 Camaro with handcrafted carbon fiber
G-Code is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro featuring custom bodywork, handcrafted carbon-fiber elements, and Ringbrothers billet products, according to SEMA’s 2016 coverage. The feature places it in a year when two Ringbrothers cars reached the Battle of the Builders Top 10. Mike Ring told SEMA: “It’s unbelievable. To have two cars in the Top 10, that’s over the top.” SEMA’s profile of the two Top 10 builds is the source for both the G-Code description and the quote.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the documented details do—and don’t—show
The available reports offer different kinds of evidence: a competition win for the unnamed 2019 Camaro, reported power figures for Valkyrja and UNKL, an unusual multi-car donor concept for Madam V, and named materials and components for G-Code. The 890 hp and 700 hp figures are source-reported descriptions; the cited coverage does not provide independent dyno measurements, so they should not be treated as directly comparable test results.
