A reliable top-10 ranking cannot be established from the currently verified manufacturer specifications. Among the two current, fully faired twin-cylinder sportbikes with comparable official power figures, the Ducati Panigale V2 leads at 120 hp, followed by the Aprilia RS 660 at 105 hp. Those figures apply to the current 890 cc Panigale V2 and the 2025 RS 660, respectively—not to every model year or every motorcycle category.
What the verified power figures show
The fairest comparison here is manufacturer-claimed peak engine power for fully faired twin-cylinder sportbikes. On that limited basis, these are the two models with comparable figures established:
| Rank among these two | Model and model year | Engine configuration | Claimed peak power | Claimed peak torque |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Current Ducati Panigale V2 | 890 cc liquid-cooled 90-degree V2 | 120 hp (88 kW) at 10,750 rpm | 93.3 Nm (69 lb-ft) at 8,250 rpm |
| 2 | 2025 Aprilia RS 660 | Twin-cylinder; cylinder angle and displacement not stated in the cited official figure | 105 hp at 10,400 rpm | 70 Nm at 8,400 rpm |
Ducati’s official specifications list the current Panigale V2’s output and engine details at Ducati Panigale V2. Aprilia lists the 2025 RS 660’s power and torque at Aprilia RS 660. The figures are manufacturer claims, not results from a shared independent test, so they compare stated peak output rather than measured performance under identical conditions.
Why this is not a complete top 10
The specifications established here cover only two current, fully faired twin-cylinder sportbikes. That is not enough evidence to identify ten models, verify that each is currently available, or rank them fairly. Expanding the category to include naked performance motorcycles could change which bikes qualify, while model-year changes can make older power figures misleading. A complete ranking needs a defined category and current, comparable manufacturer specifications for every entry.

Do not confuse the current Panigale V2 with the older version
Ducati lists the Panigale V2 through model year 2024 as a 955 cc model producing 155 hp. That is a separate, older specification: it does not describe the current 890 cc Panigale V2, which is listed at 120 hp. Ducati’s historical specifications are at Panigale V2 through model year 2024.

KTM identifies the 2026 1390 Super Duke R EVO as a two-cylinder, four-stroke, 75-degree V motorcycle. It is a naked model rather than a fully faired sportbike, so it does not belong in the comparison above. The cited official page does not establish a power figure for it; it should not be inserted into a power ranking without a verified figure and a decision to include naked bikes. See KTM 1390 Super Duke R EVO.

How to read twin-cylinder sportbike power rankings
- Check the model year. A familiar model name can cover substantially different engines and output figures across generations.
- Keep the category consistent. Fully faired sportbikes and naked performance motorcycles are different classes; including both requires saying so.
- Compare like with like. A useful ranking should use manufacturer figures for the same configuration, distinguish standard road trim from optional racing exhausts, and preserve each figure’s units and stated rpm.
- Do not infer the whole riding experience from peak horsepower. Torque, weight, gearing, chassis and intended use also matter, but comparable figures for a ten-bike group are not established here.
