The highest manufacturer-published output identified among the 2026 adventure-bike models compared here is Ducati’s Multistrada V4 RS MY26, at 180 hp. KTM lists 173 PS for its 2026 1390 Super Adventure family, and BMW lists 145 hp for the R 1300 GS Adventure. These are specifications from different manufacturer pages and markets—not results from a shared independent test—so the ranking is limited to the models below, not every popular brand’s full 2026 lineup.
2026 adventure-bike power comparison
“Most powerful” here means the highest manufacturer-published peak engine output found for the models listed. The figures retain each manufacturer’s original units; PS is metric horsepower and is not the same unit as mechanical hp.
| Model and model year | Manufacturer-published peak output | Torque | Market and context |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ducati Multistrada V4 RS MY26 | 180 hp (132.4 kW) at 12,250 rpm | 118 Nm at 9,500 rpm | Ducati MY26 technical specification; sport-focused Multistrada variant. Ducati specifications |
| KTM 1390 Super Adventure R, S and S EVO (2026) | 173 PS | 145 Nm | Figures apply to the 1,350 cc family on KTM’s French-market pages. KTM 2026 model page |
| BMW R 1300 GS Adventure | 145 hp at 7,750 rpm | 110 lb-ft at 6,500 rpm | BMW US manufacturer specification. BMW US specifications |
| BMW F 900 GS Adventure (2026 US model update) | 105 hp at 8,500 rpm | 68.6 lb-ft at 6,750 rpm | BMW US 2026 model update. BMW 2026 update |
| Honda X-ADV (2026) | 43.1 kW / 58.6 PS at 6,750 rpm | 69 Nm at 4,750 rpm | Honda specification; crossover scooter-style model, included as a category distinction rather than a like-for-like full-size adventure motorcycle. Honda specifications |
What the figures show—and what they do not
Ducati leads this sourced comparison
Ducati’s published 180 hp makes the Multistrada V4 RS the highest-output model in this comparison. Ducati describes it as “the sportiest Multistrada in the family”; that is the manufacturer’s characterization, not an independent riding assessment. Ducati Multistrada V4 RS
KTM’s PS figure uses a different unit
KTM’s 173 PS is approximately 170.6 mechanical hp. That conversion helps illustrate the unit difference, but the original published figure remains 173 PS. KTM’s 2026 family figure covers the R, S and S EVO variants on the French-market pages cited above.

These are not standardized test results
The manufacturers publish figures for different markets and model variants. There is no shared independent dyno protocol in the cited specifications, so the table compares claimed peak outputs, not directly measured results under identical conditions. Market equipment and homologation may also differ.
How to use a power ranking when choosing an adventure bike
Peak horsepower is one specification, not a complete measure of how well a motorcycle fits a rider or a trip. Torque and the rpm at which it peaks add context to the output figure, but the available specifications do not establish a uniform comparison across all relevant ownership and riding factors.

- Check fit and practicality: confirm official specifications for weight, seat height, fuel capacity or range, and ergonomics for the particular market and trim.
- Compare equipment, not just engine output: review the exact variant’s electronics and standard equipment before deciding whether a higher peak figure matters to your use.
- Verify the local model: confirm current regional availability and specifications with the manufacturer or local dealer, especially when comparing figures published for different markets.
Why the Honda X-ADV is listed separately
The Honda X-ADV’s 58.6 PS output is useful as a reference point, but its scooter-style crossover format makes it a different category from the full-size adventure motorcycles above. It should not be treated as a directly comparable entry in a like-for-like adventure-bike power ranking.
