These are published estimates, not real-world test results or a promise of the mileage a driver will achieve.
Which 2024 Toyota hybrid SUV gets the best gas mileage?
The Corolla Cross Hybrid leads the Toyota hybrid SUVs compared here, with a Toyota-listed 42 mpg combined rating. That is 2 mpg above the RAV4 Hybrid’s rating of up to 40 mpg combined. The difference is a comparison of published estimates, not a prediction that every Corolla Cross Hybrid will use less fuel than every RAV4 Hybrid in everyday driving.
Toyota’s 2025 Fleet Guide gives the Corolla Cross Hybrid S, SE, XSE and Nightshade AWD configurations ratings of 45 mpg city, 38 mpg highway and 42 mpg combined. Toyota’s 2023 press material separately describes the 42 mpg combined figure as a manufacturer estimate for all grades. Toyota’s Corolla Cross Hybrid announcement also reports 196 net system horsepower and a manufacturer-published 0–60 mph time of 8.0 seconds; these are Toyota figures, not independent test results.
