A shorter, two-door Cybertruck-inspired sports car makes the truck’s sharp design look more at home on a low, compact body. That is a visual judgment, not a Tesla product announcement: the examples covered so far are digital concepts, not a production car or a documented, commercially available conversion.
Why the Cybertruck’s design suits a smaller sports-car shape
The Cybertruck’s angular panels and wedge-like profile are unusually attention-grabbing on a large pickup. Shrink the proportions and remove the truck bed, and those same sharp lines can read more like deliberate sports-car styling than oversized bodywork. A two-door silhouette also gives the design a clearer visual purpose: a short cabin, long hood-like front section and compact rear make the angles feel cohesive.
That is the appeal behind a concept called the Cybercar, a two-door sports-car rendering credited to JHD Creative in Carscoops’ December 2019 coverage. It is a close match for the idea in this headline, though the available coverage does not establish that it is the exact image the headline originally referred to.
How the Cybertruck-inspired concepts differ
| Concept | Silhouette | What happens to the Cybertruck’s design | What is established |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cybercar, credited to JHD Creative | Two-door sports car | Retains the angular styling in a more compact car shape. | A rendering covered by Carscoops in December 2019; no physical build is established. Carscoops |
| Cyber Roadster, modeled by Khyzyl Saleem | Roadster with an El Camino-like character | Applies Cybertruck-inspired styling to an open sports-car concept. | EVBite reported on the modeled concept on April 22, 2020, and linked to a modeling timelapse; no physical build is established. EVBite |
| Shorter CyberTruck concepts by Jake Ehrlich | Shortened pickup | Keeps the pickup form but reduces its length and shifts the rear wheels forward in the shortest version. | In a January 6, 2026 post, Ehrlich described that version as removing around two feet from the rear and moving the rear wheels forward about nine inches. Those are the creator’s descriptions of a concept, not production specifications. Jake’s Tesla World |
| Slammed sport-truck concept by Robert Design | Lowered pickup | Retains the truck body while adding a revised bumper, wider fenders and a rear splitter. | TechEBlog covered the concept on December 14, 2023; no physical build is established. TechEBlog |
Which version makes the strongest visual case?
The two-door car changes the proportions most
The Cybercar makes the clearest break from the production pickup’s basic shape. Its compact, two-door body lets the sharp surfaces work as a sports-car design rather than simply making a truck look more customized. That more radical change is why the concept best fits the chopped-up sports-car idea.
#1 Best Overall
The roadster pushes the styling further
Saleem’s Cyber Roadster takes the angular language in another direction. EVBite described it as El Camino-like and linked to a timelapse of the modeling process. It is still a digital design exercise, not evidence of a Tesla roadster project.
The shortened and slammed trucks stay closer to the original
Ehrlich’s shorter concepts alter the pickup’s proportions while retaining its truck identity; the measurements he gives describe his shortest concept version only. Robert Design’s slammed sport truck instead leans on a lower stance and revised exterior pieces. Both suggest alternate ways to make the Cybertruck look sportier, but neither is the same transformation as turning it into a two-door car.

Are any of these real Tesla cars or available conversions?
The cited coverage describes rendered or modeled concepts. It does not establish that Tesla made a chopped-up Cybertruck sports car, that any example is roadworthy, or that a conversion is commercially available. Treat the Cybercar, Cyber Roadster and sport-truck designs as visual proposals—not product announcements or proven builds.
