The 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT is back, and it returns with more power than the truck it replaces. Its supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 makes 777 horsepower and 680 lb.-ft. of torque—75 hp and 30 lb.-ft. more than the previous TRX. But that extra performance comes at a substantial price: the official $99,995 starting MSRP becomes $102,790 after destination, before taxes, registration, dealer fees, options, financing, or any market adjustment.
Ram announced the truck on January 1, 2026, opened orders on June 22, 2026, and says it will reach dealerships in summer 2026. Despite the timing, this is a 2027 model-year truck, not a 2026 TRX.
What is new about the returning Ram 1500 TRX?
The revived truck is officially called the 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT. It keeps the wide-body, high-performance off-road formula of the original TRX, but Ram has brought it back under the SRT performance banner and substantially increased its output.
The return follows Ram’s broader move to restore HEMI V8 power to the 1500 family. However, the TRX’s engine is considerably more serious than the naturally aspirated 5.7-liter HEMI available elsewhere in the lineup. The TRX uses a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 and is intended to serve as Ram’s halo half-ton pickup.

2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT price: $102,790 before options

The most important number is the official MSRP: $99,995. Adding Ram’s $2,795 destination charge produces a pre-tax, pre-option total of $102,790. That figure does not include sales tax, registration, dealer documentation fees, financing costs, optional equipment, or a potential dealer markup.
Ram also offers the limited Bloodshot Night Edition for $9,995. Adding that package to the base MSRP and destination charge brings the advertised subtotal to $112,785 before other charges. That is a calculation from Ram’s published prices, not a prediction of the final transaction price.
Some early coverage cited a $102,590 starting figure. Ram’s later June 22 order-opening announcement is the more current pricing reference, so the earlier number should not be used as the truck’s present official price.
777 horsepower and 3.5-second acceleration
The supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI produces:
- 777 horsepower
- 680 lb.-ft. of torque
- 3.5 seconds from 0 to 60 mph
- 10.0 seconds from 0 to 100 mph
- 12.2 seconds in the quarter mile
- 118 mph top speed
The acceleration and quarter-mile figures are Ram’s claims. They should not be treated as independent test results until instrumented testing of a production truck is available.
Car and Driver reports that the engine is more than a simple software adjustment of the outgoing TRX’s powertrain. The revised engine-management strategy and hardware include a 2.4-liter supercharger. The result is an increase of 75 horsepower and 30 lb.-ft. over the previous truck’s 702 hp and 650 lb.-ft.
Power reaches all four wheels through an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission. Full-time four-wheel drive and Launch Control are standard, giving the TRX the hardware to turn its large output into straight-line performance rather than leaving it as a numbers exercise.

The off-road hardware is still the point
The TRX is not merely a powerful Ram 1500 with aggressive styling. Its price also reflects a specialized suspension and chassis package designed to tolerate high-speed off-road driving.

Car and Driver reports that the new truck continues with the 35-inch tires, strengthened chassis, five-link rear suspension, and adaptive Bilstein dampers used to support its high-speed off-road mission. It also reports slightly improved approach, breakover, and departure angles compared with the previous TRX.
Available equipment includes 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels, an exterior tire carrier mounted in the bed, and off-road running boards. “Beadlock-capable” means the wheel is designed to accept beadlock hardware; it does not mean beadlock use is automatically legal or appropriate for every road-driving situation. Owners should understand local regulations and the intended use of the hardware.
A luxury interior inside an off-road missile
Ram is positioning the TRX as both a serious off-road machine and a luxury pickup. Standard cabin equipment includes:
- 12-way power front seats with memory
- Front-seat heating, ventilation, and massage
- Reclining, heated, and ventilated rear seats
- Leather and suede upholstery surfaces
- Real carbon-fiber interior trim
- Red accent stitching and red seat belts
The standard technology package is similarly substantial. It includes a 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 center touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a configurable head-up display with a 10-inch field of view, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, and two wireless charging pads.

Audio comes from a 900-watt, 19-speaker Harman Kardon system with a 10-inch subwoofer. That equipment helps explain why the TRX is not priced like a stripped-out performance special, even though much of its visual identity comes from suspension travel, tires, and underbody engineering.

Hands-free driving assistance is standard—but it is not autonomy
The 2027 TRX adds standard Hands-Free Active Drive Assist, which Ram describes as a Level 2+ driver-assistance capability. The system does not turn the truck into an autonomous vehicle. The driver remains responsible for supervising the system, monitoring the road, and taking control when necessary.
Ram says the TRX and RHO are the only high-performance off-road gas pickups in its comparison set to offer this capability. That is a feature comparison, not evidence that the system can operate in every situation or replace attentive driving.
What is included in the Bloodshot Night Edition?
The $9,995 Bloodshot Night Edition is primarily an appearance and equipment package for buyers who want the TRX’s most conspicuous factory presentation. It includes:
- A hand-painted black upper section over Diamond Black Crystal Pearl Coat
- A Flame Red hood center stripe
- A distinctive bodyside splash graphic
- Red-outlined TRX interior badging
- A glass-encased center-console badge
- Carbon fiber with red anodized thread
- Satin-black beadlock-capable wheels
- Satin-titanium beadlock rings
Ram calls the package limited-run, but it has not established an exact production or allocation number in the supplied information. Buyers should not assume that “limited” means a specific quantity.
How does it compare with the Ford F-150 Raptor R?
The clearest published comparison is power output. Car and Driver reports that Ram intends the new TRX to reclaim the half-ton horsepower crown from Ford’s 720-hp F-150 Raptor R. At 777 hp, the Ram has a 57-hp advantage on paper.
That comparison does not settle which truck is faster in every independent test, more capable on every trail, easier to live with, or less expensive to own. Those conclusions require comparable testing, real-world fuel and insurance costs, pricing data, and long-term ownership experience. The defensible point is narrower: Ram has given the TRX more published horsepower than the Raptor R and more power than the outgoing TRX.

What the nearly $103,000 price does—and does not—buy
The base price buys an unusually complete combination of supercharged V8 power, full-time four-wheel drive, long-travel suspension, 35-inch tires, premium seating, advanced cabin technology, and standard driver assistance.
It does not establish that the TRX is a bargain. The price also does not tell you what insurance will cost, how much fuel the truck will use, what financing will add, or whether a dealer will sell it at MSRP. No model-specific fuel-economy, payload, towing-capacity, curb-weight, production-volume, or final transaction-price information is established here, so those figures should not be inferred.
For a buyer, the realistic purchase calculation is more than $99,995. Start with the $102,790 MSRP-plus-destination subtotal, then account for local tax and registration, dealer fees, financing, insurance, and any equipment you actually want. If you choose the Bloodshot Night Edition, the subtotal rises to $112,785 before those additional costs.

Owners will naturally look at protection and recovery equipment once they begin using a TRX off-road. Floor liners, seat protection, bed protection, tire-pressure gauges, portable air compressors, recovery gear, detailing supplies, and truck-storage accessories are all plausible additions.
However, the returning truck is a 2027 model-year vehicle. A product advertised for the 2021–2024 TRX should not be assumed to fit the new truck, even if the name and broad platform are familiar. Confirm the exact year, cab configuration, interior layout, wheel and tire setup, and any suspension or bed-mounted equipment before ordering. Check 2027 TRX fitment rather than relying on a generic “Ram 1500” description.
Factory-backed equipment is another route. Ram lists items such as running boards, an exterior bed-mounted tire carrier, and beadlock-capable wheels, while Mopar maintains an official Ram accessories program. Buyers comparing factory accessories with aftermarket alternatives should distinguish official fitment and warranty support from parts that merely appear compatible.
Availability and production caveat
Ram announced the 2027 TRX SRT’s return on January 1, 2026, began taking customer orders on June 22, 2026, and says the truck will be available through Ram dealerships in summer 2026. Ram’s product page describes availability in the second half of 2026.

Those statements describe the planned launch timing, not guaranteed inventory at every dealership. Ram also places a preproduction disclaimer on its web material, so production equipment and features may vary. Confirm the window sticker and final equipment list on an actual truck before treating every listed feature as present on a specific vehicle.
Who should buy the 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT?
The TRX makes sense for a narrow group of buyers:
- You specifically want a supercharged V8 off-road truck rather than a conventional half-ton pickup.
- You will use the suspension, tires, four-wheel drive, and chassis hardware—not just the horsepower—for their intended purpose.
- You value a luxury interior and advanced technology alongside extreme performance.
- You can absorb the purchase price and the unknowns of fuel, insurance, maintenance, and modifications.
It is a harder value proposition for someone who mainly needs towing, payload, commuting, or basic truck utility. Those buyers may be paying for a level of engine output and off-road engineering they rarely use. The TRX is fundamentally a halo purchase: a practical pickup body wrapped around an extravagant performance package.
