The 2024 Can-Am Ryker Rally is built around a simple invitation: leave the familiar pavement behind and see where the ride leads. Its rally tires, adjustable suspension, skid plate and Rally Mode are equipment Can-Am positions for loose surfaces. They explain why the Rally might encourage a different route; they do not establish how any particular road felt or whether it was suitable.
What the 2024 Ryker Rally brings to a ride
Can-Am’s 2024 specification sheet lists a liquid-cooled Rotax 900 ACE inline three-cylinder engine with electronic fuel injection and electronic throttle control. Output is rated at 82 hp (61.1 kW) at 8,000 rpm and 58.3 lb-ft (79.1 Nm) at 6,500 rpm. Those are manufacturer figures, not independently measured results. The Rally is configured for one rider. BRP lists a dry weight of 303 kg (668 lb), a 1,709 mm (67.3 in.) wheelbase, 122 mm (4.8 in.) of ground clearance, and a maximum vehicle load of 187 kg (412.2 lb). The stated load is a total vehicle limit, not a separate luggage allowance. The official specifications
Why the Rally is aimed at loose surfaces
The Rally package includes reinforced rims, rally tires, Rally Mode, a large aluminum skid plate, front protection, auxiliary LED lights, structural hand guards, adjustable anti-slip foot pegs and a Rally comfort seat. Can-Am also lists front and rear KYB HPG shocks with remote adjusters and extra suspension travel. The manufacturer describes the package as loose-surface-ready and Rally Mode as intended for dirt drift-friendly cornering; those descriptions are not a guarantee that a specific road or trail is appropriate. Published tire sizes are MC 145/60R16 66T at the front and MC 205/55R15 81T at the rear. The three-wheel braking system is foot-operated and hydraulic, with 270 mm front discs and Nissin two-piston floating calipers, plus a 220 mm rear disc and one-piston floating caliper. Plan around the Rally’s carrying capacity
BRP lists 7 L (1.85 gal) of storage and a 20 L (5.28 gal) fuel capacity. That storage figure makes packing choices relevant on a day ride: carry only what fits securely and account for the vehicle’s stated maximum load. Tank capacity alone does not establish riding range; fuel use varies with conditions, so plan fuel stops using the route and your own consumption rather than a range inferred from the tank size. The hardware offers a credible reason to consider the Rally for routes that include loose surfaces: purpose-described tires and protection, adjustable shocks and a ride mode intended for dirt cornering. But specifications cannot tell you whether a particular ride uncovered a new road, how the machine handled on it, or how comfortable it felt. Those details depend on the actual route, surface, weather and rider experience, and should be described only when personally observed.

Likewise, “loose-surface-ready” is Can-Am’s characterization of its equipment, not a substitute for checking road access, local rules, conditions or your own skill.
