Verge lists the bike at 150 kW—about 201 mechanical horsepower—and advertises more than 370 miles of city range. Those specifications and capabilities are manufacturer claims; the cited charging test was conducted on a TS Pro-related battery pack, not the TS Ultra.
What is new about the Verge TS Ultra?
The innovation story is a combination of hardware and software, rather than a single new performance figure. Verge’s current US English product page presents the TS Ultra with a 33.3 kWh Donut Lab all-solid-state battery, an integrated rear-wheel rim motor, Starmatter connectivity and Starmatter Vision. The page describes the listed equipment and advertised capabilities, but does not provide independent test results for the TS Ultra.
An integrated motor in the rear wheel
Instead of a conventional motor mounted elsewhere in the chassis and driving the rear wheel, Verge describes the TS Ultra’s motor as integrated into the rear-wheel rim. The manufacturer lists 150 kW of output and 1,200 Nm of torque. The design is a distinctive part of the bike’s architecture; the specifications alone do not establish how it compares with other motorcycles in real-world riding.
Solid-state battery, with a key model distinction
Verge’s current TS Ultra page associates the model with a 33.3 kWh Donut Lab all-solid-state battery. On January 5, 2026, Verge announced solid-state technology for the newer TS Pro and said that model was in production. Donut Lab’s announcement that same day said its battery would power Verge’s current lineup, including the TS Pro and TS Ultra. These are separate company statements about the technology and its applications.

Starmatter software and Vision sensing
Verge says its Starmatter platform supports over-the-air updates, ride modes, diagnostics and connected hardware. For the TS Ultra, the company describes Starmatter Vision as six cameras providing a 360-degree view, supported by two high-resolution radars—one at the front and one at the rear. That is a description of claimed equipment and functions, not evidence of independently tested collision avoidance or other safety performance.
How much horsepower does the Verge TS Ultra have?
Verge lists 150 kW of power, equivalent to about 201 mechanical horsepower. That is the basis for the rounded “200-HP” figure. The same product page lists 1,200 Nm of torque, a 124 mph top speed and a 0–60 mph time of 2.5 seconds. These are Verge’s published specifications, not independently verified test results.

How far can the Verge TS Ultra go?
Verge advertises more than 370 miles of range in city use and more than 196 miles on the highway for the 33.3 kWh battery. The two estimates describe different riding conditions and should not be treated as interchangeable. Verge also says it has not calculated range under mandatory regulations in countries where it is not yet selling, naming the United States and Canada. The advertised figures therefore should not be read as standardized US or Canadian range-test results.
How fast does it charge?
Verge’s TS Ultra page advertises more than 185 miles of range added in under ten minutes and separately states a 25-minute 0–80% charge time. The page does not specify a common test protocol alongside those figures, so they should be understood as manufacturer-published estimates rather than a single independently verified charging result.

What the published battery test actually covered
Donut Lab reported on March 16, 2026, that a battery pack tested with Verge sustained more than 100 kW for five minutes. The report describes an 18 kWh nominal pack at approximately 20°C: charge rose from 10% to 50% during that five-minute period, reached 10–70% in just over nine minutes and 10–80% in 12 minutes. Donut Lab identifies the pack as developed for the latest-generation TS Pro and says the test used an earlier-generation motorcycle. This is a company-reported TS Pro-related pack test, not an independent test of the TS Ultra or confirmation of every TS Ultra charging claim.
Which solid-state battery claims are independently verified?
Donut Lab’s January 5, 2026 announcement claimed 400 Wh/kg energy density, a 100,000-cycle design life, five-minute full charging and retention of more than 99% capacity in its stated extreme-temperature tests. Those figures are Donut Lab’s claims. The company announcements cited here do not independently validate them, and the later reported pack test does not establish all of those performance or durability claims.

The distinction matters when evaluating a new battery technology: a company’s specification, a reported test under defined conditions and independent validation are different kinds of evidence. For the TS Ultra, the available product information establishes what Verge advertises; the reported charging test concerns a TS Pro-related pack.
