Its most eye-catching feature so far is a drift demonstration: New Atlas reported that an AWD prototype drifted at Sonoma Raceway in May 2025 with its front motor disabled. That is evidence of a prototype demonstration, not confirmation that customer trucks will include the mode.
What the MT1’s drift mode has—and hasn’t—shown
New Atlas reported that an AWD TELO MT1 prototype demonstrated drifting at Sonoma Raceway in May 2025. The maneuver used a mode that disabled the front motor, leaving the rear wheels to drive the truck. The report describes a prototype event; it does not establish independently measured performance or guarantee the feature on production vehicles. New Atlas’s May 2025 report
TELO announced a drivable pre-production MT1 in March 2025, developed with prototype manufacturing partner Aria Group. That milestone shows the project had reached a drivable pre-production stage, not that final specifications or customer deliveries were settled. TELO’s March 2025 announcement
Announced size, utility and range
TELO’s September 2025 announcement described the MT1 as a five-seat truck measuring 152 inches long. The company also stated a five-foot bed that can extend to eight feet, up to 350 miles of range, and towing capability of 6,600 pounds. These are manufacturer-announced figures, not independently tested results or a verified final production specification. TELO’s September 2025 announcement
