Choose by use case first: Tata presents the Tigor.ev as a consumer car, while XPRES-T is associated with fleet and commercial use. If you are buying privately, start with the Tigor.ev; if you are evaluating a fleet vehicle, check XPRES-T’s local sales eligibility and exact configuration. Range, charging and price figures then need to be compared by variant and context—not as if they were identical offers.

Tata’s figures describe certified range, not a guaranteed real-world distance. The XPRES-T specifications are on Tata’s XPRES-T specification page; Tigor.ev details and its listed starting price appear on Tata’s Tigor.ev product page.

How far can each go on one charge?
XPRES-T EV: two battery configurations
Tata lists the 24 kWh XPRES-T at 277 km certified MIDC range and the 32 kWh IB XPRES-T EV 2.0 XM at 391 km certified MIDC range. Those are separate configurations, not two range estimates for one car. The specification page lists 31 kW in sport mode and 19 kW in drive mode, with 105 Nm, for the 24 kWh entry; the 32 kWh entry is listed at 48 kW and 114 Nm. Both are listed with an 80 km/h maximum speed.

Tata lists the Tigor.ev with a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 315 km ARAI-certified range. Its product page also lists 55 kW and 170 Nm. ARAI and MIDC are different certification references, and the XPRES-T’s longer-range figure belongs to its larger-battery configuration. Use the figures to understand Tata’s published specifications, not to forecast an identical daily route outcome.

No independent real-world range test is established by these manufacturer listings. Your actual distance between charges will depend on driving and operating conditions; assess the car against your own route and charging access rather than assuming the certified number is attainable on every trip.
How do their charging times compare?
The published times refer to different charge windows, battery configurations and charger power. They are not directly interchangeable.
| Model/configuration | Charging method and stated time | What the figure means |
|---|---|---|
| XPRES-T 24 kWh | Normal charge: 11 hours; 0–100%: 145 minutes with a 15 kW charger. | Tata lists Type 2 AC and CCS2 DC charging; the 145-minute claim is for the stated charger and full-charge window. |
| XPRES-T 32 kWh | Normal charge: 12 hours; 10–70%: 30 minutes with a 50 kW DC fast charger. | The 30-minute figure covers 10–70%, not 0–100%. |
| Tigor.ev | Tata advertises a 59-minute fast-charge claim. | Check the product page and exact vehicle/charger conditions; this is not a universal home-charging time. |
Tata’s XPRES-T specification page notes temperature conditions and lists Type 2 AC and CCS2 DC. Before purchase, ask the dealer which charging equipment is supplied for the exact variant, what you need to install at home or work, and whether the charging point available on your regular route supports the car’s connector and power requirements.

Tata’s Bengaluru XPRES-T page lists ₹13.04 lakh ex-showroom for the XM++ Electric. The page says prices may change, advises contacting a dealer, and notes accessories are excluded. This is a Bengaluru listing for a named variant—not an all-India on-road quote. See Tata’s XPRES-T Bengaluru price page.
Tata’s Tigor.ev page lists a starting price of ₹12.49 lakh. The product-page figure does not, by itself, establish a matching variant, a city-specific on-road total or current availability. Tata’s 2022 launch release gave historical ex-showroom prices of ₹12.49 lakh to ₹13.75 lakh; those launch figures are dated and should not replace a current quote. The release is available at Tata Motors’ 2022 Tigor.ev update.
Because the listed prices describe different model and location contexts, they are not a like-for-like comparison. Request current written quotes from local dealers for the exact configuration, including on-road charges, accessories and any applicable local incentives.

Consider Tigor.ev for private ownership
Tata’s Tigor.ev page is the more directly consumer-oriented route, with purchase and test-drive actions. Its listed equipment includes cruise control, multi-mode regeneration, a puncture repair kit and infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay; confirm which features are present on the trim you are considering.
Consider XPRES-T for fleet evaluation
XPRES-T’s fleet/commercial context may fit an operator assessing vehicles for business use, but the available official material does not establish that every configuration is available to every private buyer. Ask a local Tata dealer which XPRES-T variant can be sold for your use case and what commercial terms apply.
Use this checklist before deciding
- Buyer and use: Is this private ownership or a business/fleet purchase, and can the local dealer supply that exact model for that use?
- Daily route: How many kilometres do you need to cover between charging opportunities? Keep certification figures separate from your own real-world planning.
- Charging access: Can you charge at home, work or along the route? Confirm charger power, connector, installation needs and the equipment included with the exact variant.
- Exact specification: Record the model year, battery configuration, trim, warranty terms and charging capability on the written offer.
- Ownership support: Check service access and warranty terms locally. Warranty language differs across XPRES-T battery configurations; confirm the current official terms for the particular vehicle.
- Total price: Compare current city-specific on-road quotes for equivalent purchase circumstances, not an ex-showroom listing against a different city’s starting price.
Warranty and details to confirm
Tata’s 2022 Tigor.ev launch release reported an 8-year/160,000 km battery and motor warranty for the retail car launched at that time. That is historical launch information, not confirmation of coverage for a vehicle purchased now; ask Tata or the dealer for the warranty applicable to the exact model and purchase date. XPRES-T warranty language varies by battery configuration, so get the current terms in writing for the selected configuration.
For both cars, availability, incentives, insurance, dealer stock and total cost of ownership are not established by the published specifications and price listings cited here. Treat them as local quote and ownership checks rather than assumed benefits.
