The creator describes it as “a 3-axis + 15-button HID, designed with Euro Truck Simulator 2 in mind but It also works with other games.” The project page, published November 2, 2025, is a build guide with components and instructions—not a conventional retail product listing. “Portable” describes the project’s intended compact-controller appeal; the available project information does not establish its finished dimensions, weight, or how easily a completed unit packs for travel. Nor does it include independent measurements of force feedback, latency, or durability.

Does it work with Euro Truck Simulator 2 and other games?
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is the project’s stated design target. The creator also says the controller works with other games, but the project page does not provide an exhaustive tested-games list. A public discussion uses the project name and includes interest in a compact controller for travel, but those comments are anecdotal and do not establish widespread use or compatibility.
An unofficial firmware repository maintainer reports compatibility with BeamNG, SnowRunner, Assetto Corsa, and MiSTer FPGA, alongside other firmware changes. What parts are needed to build one?
The Hackster project names a specific set of electronics and mechanical components. Check the project instructions and exact part variants before ordering; a generic product name alone does not guarantee compatibility.

The project page specifically advises checking the video before buying the Pro Micro USB-C board. Because that is a broad board description, confirm the board matches the project’s requirements rather than assuming any USB-C Pro Micro listing will work. The creator labels the project CC BY-ND; check that license before reusing project images, text, or files.

What does the unofficial firmware change?
The public repository calls its code “Unofficial SteeringPad900F firmware” and says it addresses issues in version 3.2. Its maintainer reports filtering some X-axis judder, improving force feedback and stability, adding button support, updating the interface, and supporting additional games. These are maintainer statements; the repository information does not constitute controlled performance or compatibility testing.
One practical installation detail matters: the repository says interrupt mode requires an additional wire modification. It also notes that the reset button is beneath the OLED display, on the right side. Follow the repository’s instructions carefully before changing wiring or firmware.

Is it a finished controller you can buy?
The documented project is a DIY build, and the creator’s page supplies components and instructions. A separate assembled-controller marketplace listing, where one appears, is not established as officially affiliated with or authorized by the creator, and its ongoing availability is not confirmed. Verify the seller, what is included, and whether the unit is actually built to the project specification before treating it as the same controller.
