The NX 350h FWD starts at $45,570, while the all-electric RZ 350e starts at $47,395. That makes the UX the price leader, the NX the middle-ground choice, and the RZ the most expensive entry point among Lexus’s smaller SUV and crossover models.
This ranking compares the lowest-priced 2026 configuration of each model line on a consistent, DPH-included basis. It does not compare a base gasoline model with a hybrid or EV, and it does not represent a negotiated transaction price.

1. Lexus UX 300h: least expensive small Lexus SUV

All-wheel drive is available, but it raises the starting price to $40,420. Higher UX 300h trims extend the range to $48,850, so the model’s entry price is not representative of every UX on a dealer lot.
The UX is best understood as a compact crossover with hatchback-like packaging rather than a particularly roomy family SUV. Its smaller footprint is an advantage in urban areas, crowded parking garages and narrow streets. The trade-off is less emphasis on maximum passenger and cargo capacity than the larger NX.
Choose the UX if your priorities are a lower purchase price, hybrid fuel economy, easy maneuverability and Lexus’s premium-brand interior and equipment. It is the logical starting point for shoppers who want a small Lexus but do not need the NX’s broader compact-crossover format.
Useful UX protection accessory
A cargo liner can be worthwhile in a small crossover because groceries, sports equipment and muddy gear share the same rear cargo area. If you shop for a Lexus UX cargo liner, verify the model year and whether the vehicle has the trunk-mounted subwoofer before ordering. Those details can affect fitment; a listing that fits one UX configuration may not fit another.
2. Lexus NX 350h: the middle-priced choice
Starting price: $45,570 for the NX 350h FWD
The Lexus NX 350h FWD is the middle-priced entry in this comparison. For 2026, Lexus added front-wheel drive to the NX 350h hybrid lineup, bringing the least expensive NX configuration to $45,570 including DPH. The hybrid produces 240 net combined horsepower and has a manufacturer-estimated 39 mpg combined rating.
At its entry price, the NX costs $6,720 more than the FWD UX 300h. That premium buys a more substantial compact-SUV format and access to a wider model lineup. Depending on configuration, the NX is available with a gasoline engine, a conventional hybrid system or a plug-in-hybrid powertrain.
The NX lineup includes the gas-powered NX 350, the NX 350h hybrid and the more expensive NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid. Front- and all-wheel-drive availability varies by version, so shoppers should compare the exact configuration rather than assume that every NX has the same drivetrain or price.

The NX is the better fit for buyers who want more versatility than the UX provides but are not ready to move to an electric vehicle. It also makes sense for drivers who want a choice between gasoline, hybrid and plug-in-hybrid ownership. The NX 350h FWD is especially compelling if fuel economy matters but all-wheel drive is not necessary.

For owners who regularly carry wet, dirty or abrasive items, Lexus NX all-weather floor liners are a practical add-on to investigate. Lexus documents a three-piece, model-specific all-weather floor-liner product. Confirm the model year, trim and availability before buying because accessory fitment and retailer inventory can vary.
3. Lexus RZ 350e: most expensive entry-level small Lexus SUV
Starting price: $47,395 for the RZ 350e FWD
The 2026 Lexus RZ 350e is the most expensive of the three entry-level small Lexus SUVs in this comparison. Unlike the UX and NX, it is fully electric. The front-wheel-drive RZ 350e produces 221 total system horsepower and has a manufacturer-estimated range of up to 301 miles with the applicable wheel configuration.
The RZ’s starting price is $8,545 higher than the UX 300h FWD and $1,825 higher than the NX 350h FWD. The difference is primarily a powertrain decision: the RZ gives buyers a battery-electric Lexus rather than a gasoline-assisted hybrid or conventional gasoline crossover.
Range is configuration-dependent. Lexus’s “up to 301 miles” figure applies to the applicable wheel configuration, so buyers should check the estimate for the exact trim and wheel package they are considering. It is a manufacturer estimate, not an independent real-world test result. Weather, speed, temperature, driving style, cargo and wheel choice can all affect an EV’s actual range.

The RZ can be the right choice for someone who has reliable home or workplace charging and specifically wants electric driving. It is less convenient for a buyer who lacks dependable charging access or frequently makes long trips without a predictable charging plan. The higher purchase price also needs to be evaluated alongside electricity costs, charging equipment and any available incentives—not assumed to be offset automatically.
Higher RZ versions cost considerably more. For example, Lexus’s 2026 pricing information lists the RZ 550e F SPORT AWD at $58,395. That is a different, more powerful all-wheel-drive configuration and should not be confused with the $47,395 entry-level RZ 350e.

Why the Lexus RX is not included
Lexus’s SUV category includes the UX, NX and RZ along with larger models such as the RX, TX, GX and LX. This article limits the comparison to the smaller crossover and SUV models. Lexus describes the RX as a midsize luxury crossover, and the 2026 RX measures 192.5 inches long. The TX, GX and LX are larger still.
The RZ is included because Lexus markets it as an SUV and it occupies the same general compact-luxury-crossover shopping set, even though it uses an all-electric powertrain. The comparison is therefore about smaller Lexus SUV model lines, not a claim that all three have identical dimensions, passenger space or use cases.
How much more does each small Lexus SUV cost?
- NX 350h FWD vs. UX 300h FWD: $6,720 more at the starting-price level.
- RZ 350e FWD vs. NX 350h FWD: $1,825 more.
- RZ 350e FWD vs. UX 300h FWD: $8,545 more.
These are comparisons between the lowest-priced versions of each model line. An AWD UX, a different NX powertrain or a higher RZ trim can change the gap substantially. Dealer pricing, options, taxes, registration and incentives can also make the amount paid different from the advertised starting price.
Which small Lexus SUV should you buy?
| If your priority is… | Best starting point | Why |

| Fuel-efficient premium crossover ownership | UX 300h or NX 350h | Both are hybrids, but the UX emphasizes lower cost while the NX offers a more substantial format. |
| More powertrain choices | NX | The lineup includes gasoline, hybrid and plug-in-hybrid versions. |
| All-electric driving | RZ 350e | It is Lexus’s battery-electric option among these smaller SUVs. |
| All-wheel drive | Check the exact UX, NX or RZ configuration | AWD availability and pricing differ by model and powertrain. |
Important pricing and configuration notes
Lexus consumer-facing model pages and newsroom pricing tables have displayed different starting numbers during 2026. That can happen when pages are updated at different times, show different model selections or present prices differently. For this ranking, the consistent basis is the dated Lexus newsroom pricing information, including DPH where explicitly stated.
Do not mix a consumer-page “from” price with a DPH-included newsroom price and treat the result as an apples-to-apples comparison. Before signing a purchase agreement, confirm the vehicle’s model year, drivetrain, trim, wheel package, destination or DPH treatment, installed options and current incentives.
Fuel-economy, horsepower and range figures in this article are manufacturer-stated or manufacturer-estimated figures as identified in the supplied Lexus information. They should not be read as independent test results or a promise of real-world performance.

What to check before choosing
- Compare the exact drivetrain. The cheapest UX, NX and RZ configurations are all front-wheel drive. AWD adds cost and may change efficiency or range.
- Decide whether hybrid or electric ownership fits your routine. A hybrid refuels at gas stations; an RZ requires access to compatible charging and a practical plan for longer trips.
- Price the vehicle as equipped. Add the trim, wheels, options, accessories, taxes, registration and dealer fees—not just the advertised starting price.
- Check space in person. The UX is the most maneuverable and least expensive, but it should not be treated as a substitute for a larger family SUV simply because it has an SUV-style body.
- Verify accessory fitment. Cargo liners and floor protection can differ by model year, trim and equipment such as a trunk-mounted subwoofer.
