Segway’s new e-bike range is no longer an upcoming CES announcement. The company unveiled the Myon and Muxi e-bikes at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, held January 6–9, alongside the Xaber 300 electric dirt bike and a group of separately sold accessories.
As of August 18, 2026, the Myon is listed by Segway’s U.S. store, while the Muxi is listed at $1,699.99. The headline safety product—the Rearview Radar—is optional, not included with the bikes.

What Segway unveiled at CES 2026
Segway used CES 2026 to expand its e-bike range with two distinct models:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →- Myon: An urban and commuter-oriented e-bike with connected features, turn signals and electronic shifting.
- Muxi: A compact, utility-focused e-bike designed around cargo-carrying accessories.
The wider announcement also included the Xaber 300, an electric dirt bike. It is a powered off-road motorcycle-style vehicle, not a pedal-assist e-bike, so it should not be confused with the Myon or Muxi. Segway said U.S. availability for the Xaber 300 was subject to local availability.

Segway’s CES 2026 campaign describes the e-bikes as part of a new generation built around the company’s proprietary technology. The announcement was made at North Hall, booth 9615.
Segway Myon: the connected commuter
The Myon is the more technology-heavy of the two e-bikes. Segway positions it for commuting and leisure riding, with a feature set that includes:
- 500-watt rear hub motor
- 722Wh battery
- 85Nm maximum torque
- Claimed maximum range of 80 miles
- Claimed maximum speed of 28 mph
- Class 2 operation up to 20 mph and Class 3 operation up to 28 mph, subject to regional rules and a stated California exception
- 27.5 x 1.95-inch tires
- 80mm front suspension fork
- Hydraulic disc brakes
- Turn signals and intelligent lighting
- Electronic shifting
- 2.4-inch TFT display
- AirLock, Apple Find My support, app connectivity and over-the-air updates
Segway’s U.S. product listings show an MSRP of $1,999.99. A silver listing displayed a temporary $1,799.99 price, but store discounts and inventory can change.

The 80-mile figure is a maximum claimed range, not a guaranteed everyday result. Rider weight, cargo, speed, assist level, hills, temperature, tire pressure, road surface and battery condition can all reduce the distance available between charges.
The Myon’s connected features also require closer examination before purchase. Segway’s product page says some app features require a subscription. Buyers should confirm which functions are included with the bike and which depend on a paid service.
Segway Muxi: a compact cargo e-bike
The Muxi is aimed at buyers who value practical carrying capacity over the Myon’s commuter technology. Segway highlights Hill Start Assist, a Traction Control System and a range of utility accessories.
The U.S. Segway store lists the Muxi Cargo Electric Bike at $1,699.99. Its accessory ecosystem includes a middle basket, fender set and passenger kit, making it the more natural choice for errands and short utility trips.

However, Segway’s currently available materials do not provide a complete, consistently presented Muxi specification sheet. Buyers should obtain the current product page or owner’s manual before relying on claims about motor output, battery capacity, payload, range, dimensions, speed class or passenger limits.
The existence of a Muxi Passenger Kit does not by itself establish that carrying a child or adult is legal, safe or recommended. Check the manufacturer’s load limits, age requirements and installation instructions, along with local law.
Rearview Radar: what the safety accessory actually does
The Rearview Radar is the product most closely associated with Segway’s safety-accessory messaging. Segway says it provides real-time warnings when rear traffic approaches, using warning lights mounted on the handlebars.
The accessory was announced at $99.99 and is sold separately. Current Segway materials associate it with both the Myon and Muxi, but compatibility should be confirmed for the exact model and trim.

Radar should be understood as an additional awareness layer—not autonomous collision avoidance. The available product information supports the narrower claim that it alerts the rider to approaching rear traffic. It does not establish that the system brakes automatically, prevents crashes, replaces a mirror or eliminates the need for a shoulder check.
Segway has also promoted the system with automotive-style blind-spot language. That is marketing positioning, not evidence that the accessory is a certified automotive blind-spot detection system. Publicly available material does not establish its detection range, minimum operating speed, false-positive rate or weather rating.
Other Myon and Muxi accessories
Not every accessory shown with the bikes is included in the base price. Segway’s accessory catalog lists or has listed the following items:

The Xiro Dropper Post was announced for March 2026 at $229.99. Lowering the saddle can make mounting, stopping, low-speed balance and dismounting easier, but a dropper post is a convenience and control aid—not a crash-prevention device.

On the Myon, bike-level equipment includes turn signals, intelligent lighting, hydraulic disc brakes, connected security features and software functions. The Rearview Radar, mirror, basket, phone holder, dropper post and removable top tube are separate accessories.
That distinction matters because marketing images can show a fully equipped bike that costs more than the advertised base price. Before ordering, ask for a precise list of included equipment and confirm whether the accessory works with the selected model, trim and frame configuration. Do not assume a Myon accessory fits the Muxi—or older Xyber or Xafari models.
Myon versus Muxi
| Prioritize this | Better starting point | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Commuting, connectivity and longer claimed range | Myon | 722Wh battery, connected features, electronic shifting and an 80-mile maximum claimed range |
| 28-mph capability where legal | Myon | Segway lists Class 3 operation, with regional qualifications |
| Cargo and errands | Muxi | Compact utility format and basket options |
| Lower listed entry price | Muxi | $1,699.99 store price signal versus the Myon’s $1,999.99 MSRP |
| Passenger-related equipment | Muxi | Passenger Kit is available, but eligibility and limits must be verified |
Neither model can be declared categorically safer. Real-world safety depends on fit, setup, braking, visibility, rider behavior, traffic conditions, local law and whether optional equipment is purchased and used correctly.
Availability, legality and ownership checks
- Class rules vary: A 28-mph setting does not make the Myon a Class 3 e-bike everywhere. State and local rules determine where and how it may be used. Segway’s listing specifically notes a California exception.
- Regional specifications differ: U.S. and Canadian availability should not be generalized to Europe or other markets.
- Prices move: Separate MSRP, launch pricing, temporary discounts, taxes and dealer pricing when comparing offers.
- Inventory is local: Online availability does not guarantee dealer stock or a test ride.
- Service matters: Segway promotes dealer test rides for models including the Myon and Muxi. Its dealer page advertises $100 off an eligible in-store purchase after a test ride, subject to participating-dealer terms.
Before buying, confirm the bike’s legal class, included equipment, accessory compatibility, warranty and service arrangements. A test ride is particularly useful for checking reach, frame fit, steering feel, saddle height, braking and whether the bike is practical to store or carry.
The bottom line
Segway did launch its new e-bike lineup at CES 2026; it is no longer accurate to describe the event in future tense. The Myon is the connected commuter, while the Muxi is the more utility-oriented option. The Rearview Radar is a separately sold rear-traffic alert, not collision protection, and the Xiro Dropper Post is an electronically controlled convenience accessory rather than a safety system.
The most important purchase questions are therefore not just range and motor output. Check what is included, what costs extra, whether the 28-mph configuration is legal where you ride, whether Muxi payload details are documented, and whether local dealer support is available.
