Il cosiddetto “segnale verde DGT” è un cartello circolare con un numero di velocità e un bordo verde: indica una velocità consigliata, non un nuovo limite obbligatorio. Non risulta una data ufficiale per la sua introduzione in Spagna. Nel 2024, secondo Xataka, la DGT non aveva detto di averne studiato l’adozione; la riforma generale della segnaletica entrata in vigore nel 2026 non chiarisce il caso specifico.
Che cos’è il segnale verde DGT?
Con questa espressione si intende di solito un cartello circolare con un valore di velocità al centro e un anello verde. La cifra comunica una velocità raccomandata per quel tratto, per invitare chi guida a rallentare quando le condizioni della strada lo rendono opportuno. Non è un semaforo verde né un cartello verde di indicazione o destinazione. La descrizione del modello e del suo uso compare nell’articolo di Xataka del 13 agosto 2024.
È un limite di velocità obbligatorio?
No: il bordo verde distingue la raccomandazione dal tradizionale segnale circolare a bordo rosso, che indica un limite massimo obbligatorio. Il consiglio non autorizza a superare i limiti vigenti e non li sostituisce: fa fede la segnaletica obbligatoria applicabile al tratto.
Nel confronto pubblicato da Motor.es il 21 agosto 2024, i segnali spagnoli di velocità consigliata S-7 e S-9 sono quadrati, con caratteri bianchi su fondo blu; S-8 e S-10 indicano la fine della raccomandazione. È un confronto di una fonte secondaria, non una verifica del catalogo normativo aggiornato.

Quando arriverà in Spagna?
Non è documentata una data ufficiale d’introduzione. Xataka riferisce che, dopo aver contattato la DGT nel 2024, l’ente non aveva menzionato né studiato l’adozione del segnale. Affermazioni successive di fonti secondarie non bastano a dimostrare che la DGT lo abbia approvato o annunciato.
La DGT segnala una riforma generale della segnaletica entrata in vigore il 30 settembre 2026 nella propria pagina dei comunicati. La notizia disponibile non menziona il cartello circolare verde: da sola, quindi, non prova né che sia stato introdotto né che sia escluso dal catalogo aggiornato. Per determinare lo status legale attuale occorre consultare il testo consolidato e l’allegato ufficiale dei segnali dopo la riforma.

Che cosa sappiamo dell’uso nel Regno Unito?
Xataka descrive cartelli di questo tipo presenti su alcune strade britanniche, ma riferisce anche una risposta ottenuta tramite richiesta FOI nel 2011: gli esempi citati non avevano validità legale e avvisavano di una velocità massima di 20 mph. L’articolo aggiunge che il modello non compariva nel regolamento britannico del 2016 che consultava. Sono riferimenti a quel contesto e a quelle date, non una regola valida per ogni paese o una prova della normativa spagnola.
