Loe and friends built the machine from scratch, combining a custom chassis and motorcycle power with mower bodywork and a functional cutting deck. The Drive says the team runs the Ziptied YouTube channel. Its account identifies these components:

- Body panels: Taken from a 1990s MTD Tradesman mower.
- Engine: A reported 988cc inline-four from a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R. The Drive says it makes more than 160 horsepower at the crank in stock form; Loe added a nitrous shot described as 50 horsepower.
- Cutting deck: An electric deck sourced from a Hart push mower sits underneath the vehicle. The report says the mower still cuts grass, but does not detail a separate cutting demonstration or say the deck was running during the speed passes.
The Drive does not give the exact GSX-R model suffix, so the donor engine cannot be identified more precisely from this account.
What was it like to drive at speed?
Loe told The Drive: “The surface was extremely rough for a mower that had no suspension, and it would jump in the air two or three times per run.” That description gives a sense of the reported conditions, but it is not a measured stability or suspension assessment.

How does the speed compare with other mower claims?
The Drive described the existing mower record as “apparently” 143 mph, attributing it to a Hayabusa-powered mower in the United Kingdom. That qualification matters: its account does not independently verify the earlier figure. The same report compared Loe’s 152.8-mph pass with the Honda Mean Mower V2’s claimed 150.9-mph top speed. These are reported or claimed figures, not evidence that the machines ran under identical timing, course, or certification conditions.
