ProLogium introduced a lithium-ceramic EV battery it describes as having a “100% silicon composite anode” at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. The company reported cell energy-density figures of 749 Wh/L and 321 Wh/kg, plus a five-minute charge from 5% to 60%. Those are company-reported test results—not proof of equivalent performance in a production vehicle. ProLogium’s latest stated plan, from September 29, 2026, schedules mass production at its Dunkirk site by the end of 2028.
What ProLogium announced
On October 14, 2024, ProLogium premiered its lithium-ceramic battery at the Paris Motor Show and announced a collaboration with Germany’s FEV Group to develop an automotive battery pack. ProLogium called it the “world’s first” battery with a 100% silicon composite anode. That is the company’s promotional claim; the available sources do not independently establish a global-first designation. ProLogium’s announcement.
“100% silicon composite anode” is the company’s specific wording. It does not mean the entire battery cell is made of silicon, and it should not be shortened to “pure silicon.” ProLogium describes its broader lithium-ceramic architecture as replacing a conventional polymer separator film with a ceramic separator, which it says enables advanced electrode materials such as its silicon composite. This is the company’s description of its design, not a complete independent technical assessment. ProLogium’s architecture overview.
What the reported specifications mean
ProLogium reported 749 Wh/L of volumetric energy density and 321 Wh/kg of gravimetric energy density for the cell. The first measures energy relative to volume; the second measures energy relative to mass. ProLogium said TÜV Rheinland certified those cell figures in tests conducted in March and May 2024. This is ProLogium’s account of the certification and test scope. Cell figures alone do not establish the energy density, mass, range or performance of a complete vehicle battery pack.

- IMPORTANT: RED 2-PIN CONNECTOR REQUIRED – This battery ONLY works with the red 2-pin connector shown in the product photos. Many ride-on toys use similar-looking connectors that are not compatible. Compare your connector carefully before purchasing.
- IMPORTANT: VERIFY BATTERY SIZE BEFORE PURCHASE – Battery dimensions are 5.9 x 2.5 x 3.9 inches (151 x 65 x 99 mm). Measure your existing battery and battery compartment before ordering. This battery may not fit all ride-on vehicles.
- HIGHER 9.5AH CAPACITY FOR LONGER PLAYTIME – Premium sealed lead acid battery provides extended runtime compared to many standard 7AH batteries while delivering reliable power for compatible ride-on vehicles.
- INCLUDES REPLACEABLE 40A FUSE HARNESS – Includes SafeAMP 12V 9.5AH SLA battery, red 2-pin connector harness, and replaceable 40-amp fuse for added protection and convenient installation.
- DESIGNED FOR COMPATIBLE 12V RIDE-ON VEHICLES – Intended as a replacement battery for ride-on toys using the red 2-pin connector and requiring a battery measuring approximately 151 x 65 x 99 mm.
The same 2024 announcement projected 823 Wh/L and 355 Wh/kg by the end of that year. Those were historical projections, not verified results in the cited sources, so they should not be treated as current specifications. ProLogium’s reported energy-density figures.
How fast did the battery charge?
ProLogium said TÜV Rheinland test data showed charging from 5% to 60% state of charge in five minutes, and from 5% to 80% in 8.5 minutes. The announcement does not establish that a production vehicle achieved these times on the road, nor does it specify results across ambient temperatures or the charging equipment used. The figures describe the reported test, not a promise of what an owner would experience at a public charger. ProLogium’s charging claim.
How much range could five minutes add?
ProLogium’s release associated a five-minute charge with approximately 300 km of range. That is a company-stated estimate, not a road-test result; the release does not establish the vehicle efficiency, pack configuration, route or conditions needed to translate the cell test into real-world miles. Live Science also framed the announcement around an “up to 186 miles” claim, attributing it to ProLogium representatives rather than reporting an independent vehicle test. Live Science’s coverage.

Cell results are not vehicle results
The distinction matters because energy density and charging time at cell level do not by themselves tell a buyer how far a car will travel, how quickly its pack can charge, or how the system will behave in varied driving and weather conditions. A vehicle result also depends on the battery pack and vehicle design. ProLogium’s announcement does not provide independent pack- or vehicle-level validation of its reported density or charging figures.

Taoyuan, Taiwan
In January 2024, ProLogium said it had inaugurated its Taoke plant in Taoyuan, Taiwan, and unveiled a 106 Ah solid-state battery with a high-silicon anode. The company announced planned factory capacity of 2 GWh and said that would be equivalent to up to 26,000 EV batteries using an assumed 75 kWh per vehicle. That arithmetic is a capacity equivalence—not evidence that the factory produced that volume or supplied that number of vehicles. ProLogium’s Taoke plant announcement.

Dunkirk, France
In an update dated September 29, 2026, ProLogium said infrastructure and grid-connection workstreams were underway at its Dunkirk site, that phase-one construction began in 2026, and that mass production was scheduled to begin by the end of 2028. These are company-reported milestones and a forward-looking schedule, not a guarantee that production will start on that date. ProLogium’s Dunkirk update.
What a prospective EV buyer can conclude
The announcement is relevant as a technology and automaker-development milestone, but it does not establish that a consumer can buy a vehicle equipped with this battery. The sources reviewed identify no retail battery product or production-car application. The most concrete performance figures remain ProLogium’s reported cell tests; the manufacturing timeline remains a company plan.

ProLogium founder and chairman Vincent Yang described the technology as addressing EV-industry challenges and said the company’s goal was to be a “game changer.” That is an attributed company statement, not an independent evaluation of the battery. ProLogium’s announcement.
