What happened on Mitchell Freeway?
PerthNow reported that a car had caught fire on Mitchell Freeway southbound after Vincent Street in Leederville. The burnt-out vehicle was in the left emergency lane, and the incident response team closed the left lanes. Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) officers were at the scene. Traffic was heavy on approach, and Main Roads WA advised motorists to exercise caution.
Where was the Kwinana Freeway crash?
A separate crash was reported on Kwinana Freeway southbound before Farrington Road in Leeming. It blocked the right lane, with traffic slow on approach. The report advised drivers to leave room to merge safely.
