A 41-year-old woman was critically injured after a westbound Transperth bus struck her while she was crossing the intersection of Wellington and Barrack streets in Perth’s CBD on Monday, 8 December 2025, according to PerthNow. She was taken to Royal Perth Hospital. The report said she remained in a critical condition on Monday night.
What happened at Wellington and Barrack streets
St John WA was called to Wellington Street at about 2:35pm on 8 December. PerthNow reported that the bus was travelling west when it hit the woman as she crossed the intersection with Barrack Street.
The report identified the pedestrian as 41 and said she was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with critical injuries. It reported that she remained in a critical condition on Monday night; that is the latest condition update established here, and no later outcome is confirmed.
Road closure and investigation
PerthNow reported that westbound Wellington Street was closed at Barrack Street and that major crash officers were investigating. The available report does not establish how long the closure lasted or whether it remains in place.
