Pakistan petrol price today: what is confirmed
The Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported that petrol, or Motor Spirit, was priced at Rs387.40 per litre from October 1, 2026, down Rs0.14 from Rs387.54. APP attributed the figure to a Petroleum Division notification; the notification itself was not available in the material reviewed. APP’s October 1 price report.
That is the most recent specific petrol rate established by the accessible reporting cited here. It should not be presented as a confirmed rate for dates after October 1.
Did petrol price change this week?
The available index pages show that price-related notices were published after October 1, but the index entries do not display the later rates. Publication dates alone cannot confirm either a price freeze or a change.

As a result, the claim that the government kept petrol unchanged for a second week is not confirmed by the accessible evidence. A reader seeking the rate for a later effective date should consult the actual Petroleum Division or OGRA notice, rather than infer a price from the index listing.

For context, APP also reported high-speed diesel at Rs400.35 per litre from October 1, 2026, down Rs1.89 from Rs402.24. APP said the revised ex-depot prices were determined by OGRA and reflected international-market developments, including Platts rates, premiums, and related costs.
