Nissan’s NV200 Vanette MyRoom is a compact, Japan-market passenger van designed to switch between carrying people, lounging and sleeping. It is a light camper rather than a self-contained RV: launch coverage says it has no installed kitchen or plumbing. Nissan’s archived 2024 specifications list five-seat 2WD and 4WD versions, with a portable-battery connection and an optional Nissan LEAF battery. Nissan’s October 2024 specifications and launch-era reporting establish the details below.
What is the NV200 Vanette MyRoom?
The MyRoom is a sleeper-oriented version of Nissan’s compact NV200 Vanette, developed for Japan. Its defining idea is a calm, flexible interior rather than a full camper conversion: the rear seating can be arranged for travel, lounging or sleeping, with a sliding table and bed equipment listed by Nissan. New Atlas described it as a smaller addition to Nissan’s MyRoom line, following the larger Caravan MyRoom. New Atlas’s December 6, 2024 report characterizes the launch-era vehicle as a more maneuverable retreat than a heavily equipped camper.
Can you sleep in it, and what does the interior include?
Yes. The rear seating arrangement converts for overnight use, and launch reporting describes mattress extensions that help form the sleeping surface. Nissan’s archived equipment sheet also lists bed and slide-table equipment. That makes the MyRoom suitable for basic sleeping and relaxing inside the van; the available sources do not specify a sleeping capacity or mattress dimensions, so those details should be confirmed for the particular vehicle.
The interior is not equivalent to a self-contained RV. According to the launch report, the MyRoom has no built-in kitchen or plumbing. Plan on bringing whatever cooking, washing and bathroom arrangements your trip requires rather than expecting onboard facilities.

What are the 2WD and 4WD specifications?
Nissan’s archived specification sheet, dated October 1, 2024, lists both versions as five-seat configurations. The 4WD model is slightly longer and taller; the listed width is the same.

These are the values in Nissan’s archived 2024 sheet, not a guarantee that later model years have identical specifications. The documented distinction is the drivetrain and the small dimensional difference. The sources do not provide comparative performance testing or establish that 4WD makes the van suitable for off-road use.

How does its power equipment work?
Nissan lists an input connection for a portable battery and a portable battery sourced from the LEAF as an option. The battery is not listed as standard equipment. The specification does not establish that generic third-party power stations will connect or operate correctly, so verify the vehicle’s connection requirements before buying a power unit for it.
Is the Nissan MyRoom sold in the United States?
The NV200 Vanette MyRoom described in Nissan’s 2024 materials is a Japan-market model; the launch report identifies it as Japan-market-only. The cited sources do not establish US availability. Anyone in the United States considering one should not assume it is sold through local Nissan dealers or that import, registration and compliance requirements are straightforward; those details require separate, current verification.

What did it cost when announced?
New Atlas reported launch-era Japanese prices of ¥4,643,100 for front-wheel drive and ¥4,967,600 for all-wheel drive. These are reported 2024 prices, not confirmed current pricing, and they should not be treated as a current US-dollar equivalent.
