What the Australian NISMO centre offers
Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. says the centre connects Australian customers directly with NISMO’s Omori Factory in Japan. Its stated role is to support advanced vehicle restoration and provide access to genuine NISMO performance and heritage parts, with factory-certified NISMO Meisters drawing on NISMO’s global expertise. NISMO’s 5 October 2026 opening announcement describes the new centre and its services.
The initial restoration and parts focus is the Skyline GT-R R32, R33 and R34. That makes the centre a specialist option for owners seeking NISMO expertise and parts access, rather than a general-purpose repair shop. Nissan’s announcement does not provide a parts catalogue, item-by-item stock list, prices, booking details or confirmed fitment for individual variants. Owners should check availability and compatibility for their exact car and part before making plans.
Where it is and who it serves
The centre operates within Ferntree Gully Nissan in Victoria; Nissan has not described it as a separate standalone premises. Dealer Principal Michael Banjanin said the dealership had previously sold the GT-R and called the centre a dedicated home for the community around the cars.

NISMO global head Yutaka Sanada called the opening “an important milestone in our global expansion.” In the same announcement, he described Australia as a priority because of its performance culture and GT-R community. These are Nissan’s stated reasons for the launch, not published measures of customer numbers or market demand.
What the rollout means for owners elsewhere in Australia
Nissan Australia announced the expansion on 22 May 2026, saying Ferntree Gully was expected to open in the second half of that year and that further locations would follow. The centre opened on 5 October, and Nissan’s opening release says additional Australian NISMO Performance Centres are expected from 2027. The release does not name their locations or give a more specific schedule. Nissan Australia’s May 2026 announcement outlines the planned expansion.
For now, the announced physical centre is in Victoria. Owners in other states should not assume a local centre is already operating or that a particular service is available remotely; those details have not been specified.

NISMO has previously announced a restored-car program for the R32, R33 and R34 GT-R. That program describes documenting parts histories, replacements and inspections as part of restoration work. It provides context for the heritage focus in Australia, but it does not establish that every element of the Japanese program is offered at Ferntree Gully. NISMO’s restored-car program announcement explains that earlier initiative.

What to confirm before arranging work or parts
- Confirm that your GT-R generation, exact model variant and part number fall within the centre’s current scope.
- Ask whether the part is available to order or in stock; the opening announcement confirms access to NISMO parts, not specific inventory.
- Request current service details, pricing, scheduling and any requirements for assessment directly from Ferntree Gully Nissan.
- If you are outside Victoria, verify whether a future centre has been announced for your area or whether the service you need can be handled another way.
