One NASCAR event-page heading appears to show “August 23 2024,” but the page identifies the event as the 2025 Coke Zero Sugar 400. The official 2025 weekend schedule and other schedule records support the August 23, 2025 date.

How to watch the race on TV
NBC was the television network for the 2025 Coke Zero Sugar 400. Viewers could watch through their local NBC affiliate using an antenna, cable subscription, satellite package or live-TV streaming service that carried the station.
Local-channel availability can vary by market and provider. A subscription to a service that generally carries NBC did not necessarily guarantee access to every local NBC affiliate, so checking the provider’s ZIP-code channel lineup was important.

How to stream the Coke Zero Sugar 400
Peacock
Peacock was the simplest direct streaming choice for viewers without cable. NASCAR identified Peacock as the streaming home for its NBC-simulcast races, and Peacock maintained an official Coke Zero Sugar 400 event page.
Viewers needed a Peacock plan that included live sports. The cheaper entertainment-focused tier was not automatically the appropriate choice for a live NASCAR broadcast. Plan names and prices can change; Peacock’s current plans page is the authoritative place to check eligibility.
NBC digital platforms
Viewers with an eligible cable, satellite or live-TV subscription could also use NBC’s digital platforms where available. This route may require signing in with participating TV-provider credentials; it is different from subscribing directly to Peacock.

That distinction matters: Peacock was the standalone streaming path, while NBC’s authenticated stream depended on the viewer’s existing provider and local channel access. NASCAR’s guidance on NBC, USA Network, Peacock and the NBC Sports app explains the authentication model.
Which streaming option made the most sense?
- One-event viewer: Peacock was the most direct option because it avoided paying for a broad live-TV bundle solely to watch one NBC race.
- Existing cable or satellite subscriber: Use the included NBC channel or authenticate through NBC’s digital platforms if the package qualified.
- Household replacing cable: YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo or another live-TV service could make sense if the local NBC affiliate was available and the household also wanted other channels and sports.
- Price-sensitive viewer considering Sling: Check the ZIP-code lineup first. Local NBC availability was not universal.
As a price reference, Peacock’s plans page listed prices observed around August 16, 2026, of $7.99 per month for Select, $10.99 per month for Premium and $16.99 per month for Premium Plus. Premium was the relevant entry tier for live sports in that listing. Those prices are dated and may no longer apply.
Broader services cost more but offer more programming. YouTube TV’s main plan was listed at $82.99 per month around August 16, 2026, while Hulu + Live TV showed an ad-supported plan at $89.99 per month. Current prices, channel lineups, trials and local NBC availability should be verified directly with YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo and Sling TV.

Radio coverage
The 2025 race was available on MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Radio was the practical alternative for viewers who did not need video or who encountered local NBC or streaming-access problems. NASCAR’s Daytona summer-race information lists the audio outlets along with the broadcast details.

The Cup Series race was the Saturday-night event, separate from the other races on the weekend:
- Friday, August 22: NASCAR Cup Series qualifying was scheduled for 5:05 p.m. ET.
- Friday evening: The Xfinity Series Wawa 250 was also scheduled during the weekend.
- Saturday, August 23: The Coke Zero Sugar 400 was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
Qualifying was not the race start time, and the Wawa 250 was not a Cup Series event. The Coke Zero Sugar 400 should also not be confused with the Daytona 500, which is held earlier in the NASCAR season.

Race format and venue
The event used Daytona International Speedway’s 2.5-mile superspeedway layout. The scheduled distance was 160 laps, or 400 miles. Daytona races are run in close-quarters drafting conditions, making pit strategy, restarts and late-race positioning especially important, but this article’s focus is the event’s viewing information rather than a race recap.
Why the race mattered
The Coke Zero Sugar 400 was the final regular-season race before the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. That gave the Saturday-night event added significance for drivers seeking playoff qualification through a win or points position. The race was therefore more than a routine stop on the schedule, even though the primary viewer question was where and when to watch it.
Streaming and broadcast troubleshooting
Local NBC is missing
Check the local NBC station listing, your provider’s channel lineup and Peacock’s event page. A local affiliate may have had a market-specific scheduling issue or preemption.

Peacock will not play the event
Confirm that the account is active and that the plan includes live sports, then update the Peacock app or try the supported web version. Location restrictions can also affect access; disabling a VPN or proxy may resolve a service rejection.
The event page shows a replay instead of a live feed
The 2025 race has concluded. An expired live listing or replay page is expected after the event and does not indicate that the race is currently being broadcast live.
NBC asks for a login
NBC digital streaming may require authentication through a participating cable, satellite or live-TV provider. If you do not have qualifying credentials, Peacock was the more direct standalone option for the live event.
