A reliable “top 10” of motorcycles with the best fuel economy requires comparable mileage figures tied to specific models and years. The available U.S. specifications for two small cruisers—the 2025 Honda Rebel 300 and 2025 Kawasaki Eliminator—do not publish MPG, so they cannot be honestly ranked by fuel consumption from those sources. This guide explains what the verified specifications do show and how to judge a fuel-economy comparison without mixing unlike figures.
Why an evidence-based top 10 is not available here
The available sources do not establish ten motorcycles with comparable fuel-economy figures. A motorcycle’s type or engine displacement is not proof of its mileage; a useful claim needs a model, model year, unit, market and measurement method.
Those details matter because a manufacturer’s test-cycle figure, a U.S.-reported MPG value and an owner’s mixed-use fuel-consumption report are not automatically comparable. A single ranked list that combines them can imply a precision the underlying numbers do not support. No riding tests or independently verified owner-mileage claims are available for this comparison.
What the cited small-cruiser specifications establish
2025 Honda Rebel 300 (U.S.)
Honda lists the Rebel 300 with a 286cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke engine, a six-speed manual transmission, a 3.0-gallon fuel capacity and a 364-pound curb weight. Honda also states that it complies with current EPA standards. The U.S. tech-specification page and Honda’s March 11, 2025 specification release do not give an MPG figure, so these facts do not establish its fuel economy.

2025 Kawasaki Eliminator (U.S.)
Kawasaki’s U.S. specification sheet lists a 451cc liquid-cooled two-cylinder engine, fuel injection and a 3.4-gallon fuel capacity, but provides no MPG figure. Kawasaki India describes the model’s accessible riding position and everyday-use character; that India-market product page does not supply a U.S. fuel-economy value.

How to compare motorcycle fuel economy fairly
Before treating a number as evidence of a model’s mileage, check that it identifies the motorcycle and the basis for the figure. A well-supported list should record these details for every entry:
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →- Type and model: Name the motorcycle category, make, model and model year.
- Fuel-economy value and unit: State the figure as published, such as MPG or km/L; do not silently convert or round it.
- Measurement method: Identify the test cycle or say whether the value is manufacturer-published, government-listed or owner-reported.
- Market and source date: State the region the specification covers and when the source was published or accessed.
- Conditions: For owner reports or riding tests, describe the route and riding mix when known. City, highway and mixed-use consumption are not interchangeable.
Rank figures together only when their measurement bases are meaningfully comparable. If one source reports a test-cycle result and another gives owner-reported mixed-use consumption, separate the methods or present the values as indicative examples rather than a single leaderboard.
Why one surfaced WMTC number cannot fill the gap
A Honda Philippines specification result surfaced a fuel-consumption figure of 30.5 km/L under WMTC, but the available material does not reliably identify the model. It cannot responsibly be assigned to a motorcycle type or included as a ranked entry without confirming the model and market context. Turning a fuel-economy figure into a useful ownership comparison
For a real fuel-cost comparison, use a verified economy figure for the specific model and market, then apply the same local fuel price and comparable riding conditions to each motorcycle. Without reliable, comparable mileage values, calculating or ranking costs would give a misleading impression of accuracy. Rider discussions can suggest useful search terms—such as “motorcycle fuel economy,” “fuel consumption,” “best fuel economy” and “mixed use commuter”—but anecdotes are not a controlled dataset.
