For U.S. shoppers asking which Honda cars are the most reliable in 2025, the strongest model-specific evidence points to the 2025 Honda Accord and 2025 Honda Civic. Consumer Reports describes both as more reliable than other cars from the same model year. That is not a head-to-head ranking: the available evidence does not establish which is the most reliable Honda overall, or how every 2025 Honda compares.
What the 2025 reliability evidence says
Consumer Reports ranked Honda fourth among brands in its 2025 reliability report, with a predicted reliability score of 59. The report also said three Honda models scored above average and seven scored average, but its accessible summary does not name those models. Honda’s brand position is useful context, not a substitute for comparing individual vehicles.
The report drew on information about more than 300,000 vehicles from model years 2000 through 2024, plus a few early 2025 models. Consumer Reports asks owners about problems reported in the previous 12 months across 20 trouble areas, then weights the severity of those problems to produce predicted reliability scores from 1 to 100. Its 2025 brand ranking is therefore a forecast based largely on earlier model-year owner reports, not a record of years of ownership for every 2025 Honda.
Consumer Reports senior director of auto testing Jake Fisher put the distinction plainly: “While brand rankings can guide you to the showroom, it is critical to also look at reliability for specific models before making a purchase decision. Even within high-ranking companies, there can be significant variation in reliability.”

- Modeling according to the data of the original car to ensure accurate fit for Honda Civic 2022 2023 2024 2025 2026, Accord 2023 2024 2025 2026, CR-V 2023 2024 2025 2026, HR-V 2023 2024 2025 2026, Acura Integra 2023 2024 2025
- Zacxoxsr's door handle covers use a process of multiple spraying and long-term baking of PU paint, which allows the paint to adhere deeply to the ABS plastic, making the paint surface more adherent and preventing fading and cracking after long-term use; it is far superior to UV paint in terms of flexibility, wear resistance and stability, and can withstand long-term exposure to the sun and rain
- No Adhesive Installation------Hidden snap-on design, more stable; no need to worry about high temperature causing adhesive failure, falling off, leaving marks, etc.
- Sealed Sensor Slot Design------Does not affect the signal at all, and the induction is normal. Dustproof and waterproof, further improving the aesthetics(Both the driver side and the passenger side have sensor slots)
- Easy to Install------Just align the position and press it to lock the original car handle
Accord and Civic: the strongest supported candidates
The model-specific Consumer Reports pages give both cars favorable, year-peer comparisons. They do not provide a direct comparison between the Accord and Civic, so their descriptions cannot be used to declare one more reliable than the other.
| Model | Consumer Reports’ assessment | What the evidence supports |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 Honda Accord | “Much more reliable than other cars from the same model year.” The assessment is based on subscriber surveys of 2025 Accord owners. | A strong candidate relative to other 2025 cars; no numeric model score or direct comparison with the Civic is established here. |
| 2025 Honda Civic | “More reliable than other cars from the same model year.” The assessment is based on subscriber surveys of 2025 Civic owners. | A strong candidate relative to other 2025 cars; no numeric model score or direct comparison with the Accord is established here. |
For a buyer choosing between these two, reliability evidence alone does not settle the choice. Both have positive assessments against their model-year peers; compare the specific vehicle’s condition, service records, features, and price for your needs.

What is known about other 2025 Hondas
CR-V
The available 2025 CR-V page confirms that Consumer Reports’ reliability assessment is based on surveys of 2025 CR-V owners, but it does not expose a comparative verdict. That is not enough to rank the CR-V above or below the Accord or Civic.
The rest of the Honda range
The brand report’s summary does not identify the three Honda models rated above average, and comparable model-specific results are not available here for the broader lineup. There is consequently no defensible full ranking of Honda models such as the HR-V, Pilot, Passport, Ridgeline, Odyssey, or Prologue from this evidence. A brand-level fourth-place finish does not fill in those model-by-model gaps.

How to use reliability rankings when shopping
- Match the evidence to the model year. A favorable 2025 model assessment is more relevant to a 2025 car than a broad brand reputation, but it remains a prediction based on owner reports.
- Check the individual vehicle. Ask for service records and have a used car inspected; survey results describe patterns across owners, not the condition of a particular car.
- Check open recalls by vehicle. Consumer Reports’ 2025 Civic page reports two recalls. A recall count alone does not establish overall reliability. Confirm whether a specific car has an open recall and whether required repairs were completed.
Why other reliability rankings may not answer this question
Honda UK reported results from the 2025 What Car? Reliability Survey: a 96.6% rating for the Honda brand, 97.5% for the current HR-V, and 97.3% for the latest Civic. The survey covered cars up to five years old and polled more than 32,000 owners across 30 brands and 227 models. These are useful U.K. results, but they cover a different market and vehicle population; they are not a U.S. ranking of 2025 model-year Hondas.
J.D. Power’s 2025 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study also measures a different thing: it surveyed original owners of 2022 model-year vehicles after three years of ownership and reported an industry average of 202 problems per 100 vehicles. That study provides industry context, not direct evidence about which new 2025 Honda is most reliable.
