Mercedes-AMG’s three variants use either two or three motors; the GT 63’s headline 860 kW figure applies specifically to AMG Launch Control at an 80% charge level. The interior was unveiled on March 6, 2026, while U.S. launch timing is different for each version.
What the interior reveal showed
Mercedes-Benz Media introduced the cabin on March 6, 2026, describing it as an in-house Affalterbach development. The front seats sit low for a sporty driving position, while the rear has two individual standard seats that Mercedes says provide generous legroom. Controls combine haptic buttons, a touchscreen and voice operation.
The reveal described a 10.2-inch instrument cluster alongside a 14.0-inch multimedia display. Mercedes-AMG’s later model page also shows a separate 14.0-inch passenger display, completing a three-screen dashboard arrangement. The quoted interior announcement came from Michael Schiebe, then a Mercedes-Benz Group AG board member responsible for Production, Quality and Supply Chain Management and chairman of Mercedes-AMG: “In the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4‑Door Coupé, we have consistently focused every interior detail on performance and implemented it with the highest precision.” (Mercedes-Benz Media, March 6, 2026; Mercedes-AMG model page)
How the centre-console controls connect the cabin to performance
Three rotary controls make the performance theme more than a styling cue. On GT 55 and GT 63, Mercedes-AMG groups them under AMG RACE ENGINEER; the GT 53 page describes a Response Control dial. Their functions address different parts of vehicle behavior:

These controls provide driver-adjustable responses; the published descriptions do not establish that selecting a setting changes the powertrain’s maximum output.
Three variants, two motor layouts
Mercedes-AMG’s live model page describes the GT 55, GT 63 and GT 53 as all-electric variants. The GT 55 and GT 63 share a three-motor layout, while the GT 53 uses two synchronous motors. The figures below are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.

For GT 55 and GT 63, Mercedes-AMG says each motor is incorporated into a High Performance Electric Drive Unit. GT 53’s output and range carry an explicit preliminary-figure caveat, so they should not be treated as final certified values. (Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door model page)
Charging claims and what they mean
Mercedes-AMG says the high-voltage battery uses direct cooling and can accept peak charging power of up to 600 kW. The manufacturer also quotes about 460 km of WLTP range added in ten minutes and a 10–80% charge time of 11 minutes. The 460 km figure was determined using maximum DC charging power under ISO/SAE 12906 conditions; it is a manufacturer-stated result, not a guarantee of the range a driver will add in every charging session. U.S. timing is not a global launch schedule
Mercedes-Benz USA identifies the vehicle as a 2027 model and says the GT 55 is expected later in 2026, followed by the GT 63 in early 2027. Its page offers an interest form, but does not state pricing, when orders open, or dealer inventory. The cited U.S. timing does not establish availability dates for other markets. The dated cabin debut previews how Mercedes-AMG intends to put performance settings within reach; the current model page supplies the later powertrain details. Together, they show a cabin built around configurable electric-motor response, agility and traction, with distinct motor layouts across the three variants. The available figures are manufacturer claims, and the GT 53’s are expressly preliminary. The cited material does not provide a price, independent road-test results or a complete market-by-market availability schedule.
